1 Prologue

I woke up in an unfamiliar place. Where am I? There seems to be an older man floating in the air in front of me. This must be some strange dream.

Old Man: "This is no dream, Y/N L/N. You died in your sleep by choking on your spit."

He seems to be trying his best to hold back a snicker. Meanwhile, I have no such reservations.

Y/N: "Hahahaha, oh my god, I can't believe it; that's hilarious!"

The older man starts laughing along with me, and we just keep laughing for a few minutes.

Old Man: "I haven't had a good laugh like that in decades. Thank you, Y/N".

Y/N: "No problem. You can't take life too seriously; otherwise, life gets too boring."

Old Man: "You're right. Since you made me laugh, and you're kind of interesting, I'll let you reincarnate into a fictional world of your choice and give you 10 wishes."

Y/N: "Wow? That's amazing. Thank you so much. Well, the world I would like to go to is Remnant, where RWBY takes place."

Old Man: "Sounds good; what are your wishes?"

Y/N: "Well, the first wish I want is The Gamer."

Old Man: "Ah, that is a pretty common one, go on."

Y/N: "Next, I want true immortality. The kind where even if my body is completely disintegrated, my soul will live on. The kind that even tampering with time couldn't wipe out. The kind that not even gods or immortal killing weapons could truly kill."

Old Man: "Hmmm. That is quite the wish. I can do this, but are you sure? Even I cannot undo this wish after I grant it."

Y/N: "Yes, I'm sure."

Old Man: "Okay then. To grant your wish, I will be taking your soul, making it immortal, and putting it outside of time and space into its unique world. It is similar to that magic Heaven's Feel that you have heard of in that anime Fate/Stay Night. You will generate infinite mana, and you will manifest a body in the real world. If that body is destroyed, it will not harm you, thus giving you true immortality. Your soul, meanwhile, will be separate somewhat similar to the Throne of Heroes, except that you cannot be summoned unless you wish to be. Remember though, despite your soul having infinite mana, the body you manifest in will still limit how much mana you can use."

Y/N: "Wow, that's amazing. Thank you."

Old Man: "No problem. You'd be surprised how few people don't realize timeline alterations can null most forms of immortality. Your next wish?"

Y/N: "Next, I would like to boost Gamer's Mind to an insanely high degree."

Old Man: "That's a strange request. Could you elaborate more on why you want to do this and what exactly the boost would entail?"

Y/N: "Well, there are all kinds of strange ways to mess up someone's mind. What if I end up having something like an inner hollow from Bleach? Typically Gamer's Mind wouldn't protect me from such a thing since it's part of my soul. Also, what if I end up encountering some eldritch deity like Cthulhu, and it completely twists my mentality in a bad way. Also, what if someone traps me in some torture that lasts millions of years. I never want to lose who I am. Natural growth is one thing, but being twisted in some other manner is not okay. I want to retain my sense of self throughout my immortal life."

Old Man: "You seem to have thought this through. Okay, I can boost Gamer's Mind in the way you have described. What is your next wish? You have 7 left."

Y/N: "Next, I would like to have the ability to always escape from a situation eventually. I'm not saying it has to be right away, but I don't want to end up somehow sealed for all of the time or something."

Old Man: "That makes sense; that would be pretty unfortunate. I can grant this wish, however, keep in mind it could still take thousands of years if the person manages to seal or imprison you with some compelling method."

Y/N: "That's all I ask. It doesn't need to be perfect; it has to guarantee me getting out eventually."

Old Man: "Okay, what is your next wish?"

Y/N: "Next, I would like to have the ability to bind people to my soul. What I mean by this is, if someone loves me and is loyal to me, I want to make a soul-binding contract. They must be willing, but if they accept, their souls will be bound to mine, in the same place that my immortal soul is at. They also will never die like me and will never be able to betray me. I don't want to spend immortality alone."

Old Man: "Immortality is truly a burden if alone. This wish can be granted, but keep in mind that to count as willing for the sake of the contract, they must have all the details of what they are getting into. Anyways, what is your next wish?"

Y/N: "I wish for the ability to avoid all sorts of clairvoyant abilities. I don't want to go into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and then suddenly be noticed by the Ancient One or anything like that."

Old Man: "This one is a bit complicated; I can do this, but only to a certain degree. Clairvoyant abilities won't notice you directly, but the more significant the impact you make on events, the more perceivable you will become. However, unless you disclose it, no one will realize that you are an outsider; they will mostly think you are some strange anomaly. Is that acceptable? "

Y/N: "I'll take what I can get. It would probably be some form of brainwashing if it went past that, which seems pretty evil. So this is good, thanks."

Old Man: "Okay, what next? You have 5 more."

Y/N: "Okay, my next wish is that there is no limit on my growth. I can grow my abilities indefinitely. I may have to work for it, but I don't want there to be any limits."

Old Man: "Okay, you kinda got this from the gamer, but I'll make sure you have no growth limitations. Next?"

Y/N: "Next, I want my abilities not to be able to be copied or stolen. That would be bad."

Old Man: "Okay, I can make sure that none of your abilities can be stolen, and for the most part, can't be copied. However, you will have to be careful. For example, if someone sees you do a martial art or use an ability, they can look at it and duplicate it if their body can use that ability on their own. They can also take your DNA and potentially make clones of you. Considering, however, that you will have to create your bodies since you only get a soul (a consequence of True Immortality), you can try to figure out safeguards for DNA on your own. That's the best I can do in that regard."

Y/N: "Okay, that's fine. I'll have to be extra careful when I construct my body."

Old Man: "What is your next wish?"

Y/N: "Actually, can I say my next three wishes at once? I want 3 abilities from the Worm CYOA v1. Kaleidoscope, Inspired Inventor, and Power Manipulation. Adjusted for the multiverse, of course, since, for example, Power Manipulation would only really be able to steal powers from the Worm Verse."

Old Man: "Well, okay. You are going big. I can give you these abilities, and they will be adjusted to work for the multiverse rather than abilities localized to the Worm verse. Since you already wished for no limiter earlier, as well as an immunity to divination, I will also give you the 'Blank' and 'Shattered Limiter' abilities from that CYOA as well."

Y/N: "Thank you so much; I can't believe you granted me all these wishes. I hope we can meet again someday."

Old Man: "Don't worry, with your rate of growth, one day you'll have the power to find me yourself. Goodbye now, and enjoy your new life Y/N."

I noticed my body start to fade away. Well, I guess it's time for the next great adventure.
