Enraged by Xu Lin's blatant display of disrespect, the senior elder in front suddenly emitted an extremely dense murderous aura and furiously roared:
"Insolent brat! I was originally going to let you go, but now you've done it! Today will be the day of your death!"
Although the Burning Heaven Clan members found themselves rooted to the spot, they remained relatively calm and didn't panic.

In the next moment, their bodies were brutally bisected into two halves without any chance to resist. Setting fire to the corpses, Xu Lin erased the evidence of the fight and continued towards the den of the Scarlet Dragon.

In the middle of a barren wasteland of scorched earth was a gigantic cave about one hundred meters tall. With his enhanced eyesight, Xu Lin could faintly discern the figure of an enormous dragon sleeping peacefully inside. Carefully approaching the entrance of the cave, Xu Lin masked his presence in order to avoid waking the dragon.

Its cultivation is actually at the Emperor Profound Realm! Don't you realize that if you die, then this princess will perish alongside you!?"
Jasmine suddenly piped up from within the Sky Poison Pearl as she watched his actions. However, Xu Lin's response failed to quell Jasmine's worries.
"Isn't it obvious?! I'm first going to kill that dragon, and I'll take whatever treasures that it's hiding."
"You're insane! You're only at the Earth Profound Realm, and you want to fight a beast at the Emperor Profound Realm!? Although I've seen that you're capable of defeating Sky Profound Realm opponents, the difference between the Earth Profound Realm and Emperor Profound Realm is massive! Fighting that dragon is just a suicidal act!"
"Don't worry, I wouldn't be doing this if I wasn't confident of my victory."
Disregarding Jasmine's warning, Xu Lin and amassed all of his profound energy and concentrated it into his hand. Because of the incredibly dense wave of energy that was released from Xu Lin's body, the Flame Dragon awoke from its slumber and discovered the human inside its lair.
"ROOAR!! Despicable human!! So it turns out that you're actually lusting after this king's treasure! UNFORGIVABLE!!"
Its scarlet eyes full of killing intent locked onto Xu Lin. However, he remained still and continued gathering his profound energy, not reacting to the dragon at all.
"Lusting after this king's treasure, and also attempting to play tricks on this king, how can this king possibly forgive you! Turn into ashes and die!"
The Flame Dragon opened his mouth and shot a blazing fireball at him. As the ball of flames neared Xu Lin, scorching his skin through his clothes, he suddenly thought:
'Now!'
"Star God's Brilliant Annihilating Slash!"
A bright red beam of light suddenly shot out from Xu Lin's hand and blasted away the incoming fireball. However, the light didn't stop there, and it continued moving forward, penetrating into the Flame Dragon's body. Following that, a massive hole appeared in the middle of the Flame Dragon's enormous body as both of its eyes slowly lost their focus and color.
"That's... impos… sible…"
The dragon slumped to the floor, lifeless. Falling to his knees, Xu Lin breathed a sigh of relief as beads of sweat dripped down his forehead.
'It seems that fighting Emperor Profound Realm opponents is my limit if I don't overdraw my life force.'
Watching from inside the Sky Poison Pearl, Jasmine was prepared to jump out and intervene at a moment's notice. However, after Xu Lin singlehandedly killed the dragon without suffering any injuries, Jasmine didn't even know what to say anymore.

Xu Lin's profound strength started rising rapidly, from the 1st Level of the Earth Profound Realm to the 2nd level, from the 2nd level to the 3rd, from the 3rd level to the 4th, all the way until he reached the 10th Level of the Earth Profound Realm.
"This... This is the Evil God's Fire Seed! It was unexpectedly in this place!" shouted a surprised Jasmine.
