She’s my daughter

I breathed in and opened the door. I gripped on tight to Taylor's hand and smiled. I stepped outside and was nearly blinded by a camera flash. Questions flew in every direction.

"What do you know about Jack Whitman?"

"Are you his family?"

"Could you slip us a few secrets?"

"Who are you to Jack?" (These sound familiar) Jack struggled to answer.

"This is my daughter, Lindsey Evans." Gasps could be heard and within seconds the flashes got brighter and more frequent. Mics were everywhere.

"For now that is all we can say." Jack attempted to calm the audience, which was growing and by now people had caught wind of my fathers arrival. I think I saw some student from my school.

"How long have you known about this?" A reporter asked .

"I... uh just found out today."

"Wow! Can someone get that written down, and what are your feelings on this news?"

"Uh, ok my feelings..." I wasn't really sure how to answer that. " I guess it's a big change, I-I mean I thought my dad was dead so this is quite a shock."

"Amazing, and can I-" Taylor came to my rescue.

"Hi I'm afraid I'm going to have to take her away from you, sorry for any inconvenience." She smiled.

"And you are?" She scribbled furiously on a notebook someone must have given her( she didn't have it before.)

"I'm the charming best friend." She joked.

"Well ok then." The reporter walked away, she looked annoyed. Taylor linked arms with me and we walked away.

"There you are." Jack said, "I've been looking everywhere for you."

"Well now you've found us." I said cheerfully.

"I need to talk to you."

"Sure, um." I looked at the growing crowd, "Inside?"

"Yeah." He nodded.
