Albedo, the Guardian Overseer
After leaving the throneroom, Albedo first made her way to the Third floor of the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick, through the teleportation network.
Of course through only the network accessible to her, as free teleportation was only granted to the Supreme Beings who each wore a special Ring, which enabled this function.
Because of this, it took much longer than it would otherwise, still with the help of the administrator of the Transportation gates, Aureole Omega, she got there rather swiftly.
Now standing in front of a door from which rather lewd and improper sounds came. This filled her with disgust, the only being allowed to ever touch her would be her master, the last remaining among the Supreme Beings, Lord Momonga.
The Guildmaster of Ainz Ooal Gown, the true Ruler of the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick, and the person she truly loved and desired.
Knocking on the door, Albedo had no desire to wait until the person living there would open the door, or to even glimpse at what was happening inside.
So after knocking, she simply gave the orders to this disgusting vampire before leaving, "Shaltear Bloodfallen, the Great Ruler of Nazarick, Lord Momonga has called upon us to gather in the amphitheater in 40 minutes. You better be there at that time."
She then turned and left the place, just after she left the door opened and a little girl with silver hair, pale skin, and blood-red eyes opened the door.
She was wrapped in a blanket, while her hair was still in a mess, "Ah the lord commanded for us to meet! Finally, I can meet the most beautiful beings in the world again, I need to prepare myself!"
She paused for a moment before looking in the direction where Albedo had left, "Damn wide-mouthed Gorilla..."
The little girl then closed the door behind her and started her preparations.
Albedo on the other side was already on the way to her next stop, which would be on the 5th Floor Glacier, the Snowball Earth, the residence of the Floor Guardian Cocytus.
The Glacier is a realm made like an ice Hell, filled with icebergs and weather phenomena like clouds and snow.
Walking through this icy hell, Albedo went straight towards her destination, a giant white dome-shaped building surrounded by six large Crystals.
'This place is rather uncomfortable...' even she as a level 100 NPC, felt that this place wasn't designed to be inhabited by beings other than those who were placed here by the Supreme Beings.
Among them was one rather close to herself, 'So this is the floor on which big sister Nigredo is serving on...'
Though she had never been to all floors, she had information about all floors of Nazarick, at least all known to her.
This meant from the surface until the 11th Floor, she had general knowledge about all of them as well as the Guardians living on each floor.
Reaching the entrance of the Snowball Earth, Albedo was greeted by two Forst Virgins, the servants of Cocytus.
"Welcome on the 5th Floor, Lady Albedo." the two spoke at the same time while giving a bow to her.
Glancing at them, Albedo spoke with absolute Authority, "Bring me to Cocytus, I have orders from the last Supreme Being for him."
Her gaze was so cold that even beings like these Frost Virgins, felt a cold chill all over their body when they heard this voice and were gazed at by those eyes.
They immediately turned and walked ahead, guiding Albedo to a training ground inside the Snowball Earth.
In the center of the Training ground stood a bipedal blue insect, it radiated a cold air even while just standing there.
If you would combine an utter Demonic mantis and a giant evil ant, something like this would probably be the result.
The being stood at a height of around 2.5 m, while the tail on its back was around double that.
Currently, it held a magnificent Oodachi with two of its four hands, seemingly in absolute concentration while repeatedly swinging the sword in perfect motion.
"Cocytus..." Albedo called out herself, instead of waiting for the Frost Virgins to speak.
This seemed to bring the giant Insect back to the real world as it turned its head and relaxed its posture.
"Albedo. What. Brings. You. Here?" The voice sounded a bit broken and scary, but Albedo didn't mind at all.
She took on a serious face, which still showed respect to her Colleague but also made it clear that she was there for important reasons.
"The Last of the Supreme Beings, Lord Momonga has ordered the Floor Guardians to gather on the 6th floor in 30 minutes."
"If. My. Lord. Calls. Me. Then. Of. Course. I. Have. To. Follow."
A smile spread across Albedo's face, "Very well, then I will take my leave first, I still need to inform Demiurge on the 7th Floor and Shuten Dōji on the 9th Floor."
When Cocytus heard the last name, it seemed that something was triggered as he said with excitement discernable for those who knew him.
"So. I. Will. Be. Finally. Able. To. Meet. Him."
Albedo didn't understand what he meant for a while so she asked, "Who are you talking about?
The breath of Cocytus grew stronger with excitement as he said, "The. Strongest. Warrior. And. Untitled. Champion. Of. Nazarick. The. Guardian. Of. The. 9th. Floor. Shuten. Dōji."
Remembering the character of Cocytus she understood the reason he was so excited so she simply said her goodbyes before leaving the 5th Floor.
The next floor she needed to Visit, was the 7th floor Lava, it was once the home of a Giant fire Dragon before Ainz Ooal Gown had conquered it, upon which Ulbert Alain Odle transformed it into a Hell perfect for Demons.
It was a floor that contained Crimson Lava flowing like rivers and numerous bubbles in these rivers, bursting once they reached the surface.
It was truly a world that could be called Hell on Earth, with its main inhabitants being Demons.
The same was true for the Floor Guardian of this place, a Demon who embodied cruelty and sadism, with a mind made for combat and trickery.
Counting together with Albedo and Pandoras Actor, the NPC solely made by Momonga, Demiurge was one of the three great Geniuses among the residents of the Great Underground Tomb of Nazarick.
With his residence being a place called the Blazing Temple, a place which could only be described as the ruins of a once magnificent Temple, he governed and guarded this floor.
Entering this floor, Albedo felt for herself how this floor could be described as the direct opposite of the 5th Floor.
As she knew her destination already, she didn't linger on such thought and instead immediately walked towards the Blazing Temple, the Residence of the Person she was searching for.
Walking along, she soon reached her destination, upon which she was greeted by one of the servants of the person she was looking for, the Evil Lord Greed.
The being immediately greeted her with the utmost respect, "Lady Albedo, welcome to the Blazing Temple..."
Before he could finish his words, Albedo interrupted him, "I don't have time for your talk. Where is Demiurge?"
Albedo had already grown tired of these Minions greeting her, 'In this way, Shaltear's floor was better, there weren't any Minions annoying me with unnecessary greetings...'
The Evil Lord Greed immediately had his back covered in cold sweat and silently started to guide Albedo to Demiurge.
The Demon in question stood with several other of his Minions, seemingly giving orders to them.
He looked like a normal human at first glance, with Asian features, slick-back black hair, and tanned skin. His eyes were covered with a pair of black sunglasses, while on the back of his waist a thick scaly tail, clearly indicated that he wasn't from the human Species.
He wore a British suit, with black-orange stripes and a necktie, the first impression when coming in contact with him was that of a British gentleman.
"Ohh... Albedo, what brings the Guardian Overseer to the 7th Floor?" the gears in Demiurge's head seemed to start working overdrive the moment Albedo was spotted by him.
Albedo truly appreciated a being who had an intellect on a similar level to herself, especially if it was a fellow creation of the Supreme Beings.
A gentle smile graced her lips as she explained her reasons for visiting him, "I am here on the orders of Lord Momonga."
Demiurge's eyes went wide, revealing what truly lay inside of them, blue crystals.
She continued after a short pause, "Lord Momonga has ordered a gathering of the Floor Guardians in the amphitheater on the 6th Floor. We should be gathering there in 20 minutes."
"Then we should hurry and make our way upwards again..." Before Demiurge could finish, Albedo interrupted him.
"You should go ahead, I still need to inform the Floor Guardian of the 9th Floor."
Demiurge was stunned when he heard the first words but immediately understood upon hearing the second half. He nodded and let Albedo through, "Then you should go ahead, you shouldn't let Lord Momonga wait..."
"No need to worry, don't you know what lies on the 9th Floor?" Albedo giggled a little, knowing full well that they would not be late.
Demiurge seemed in thought for a moment before realizing what she meant, "The administration for the teleportation gates..."
"Exactly... you should hurry, Demiurge. Otherwise, we might arrive before you." Albedo jested a bit before going through the next teleportation.
Demiurge also went towards the 6th floor after giving some orders to his subordinates.
Meanwhile, Albedo went towards the 9th Floor, through the help of Aureole, she basically skipped the 8th floor and came directly to the entrance of the 9th Floor.
It was the place from which one could go to the upper floor, upon arrival, Albedo took a second to appreciate the scenery here.
'I should come here with Lord Momonga, he surely appreciates this place' she blushed heavily, imagining herself on a date with Lord Momonga in such a beautiful landscape.
"How wonderful that would be..." Fantasizing by herself, she unconsciously mumbled out.
"Ah, Lady Albedo! So you are the one Lord Shuten Dōji is waiting for!" A rather childish and cute voice pulled her out of her daydream.
She was angry for a second before realizing that she was still on a mission given by her beloved master.
Looking down she saw a little creature, just big enough to reach 0.3m, it had a similar form to a Mushroom, but it also had arms, legs, and a face as it jumped around before her.
She remembered this little guy, he was one of the area Guardians living on the 9th Floor, but what surprised her were the words spoken by this little guy.
"You should be Enmei, am I correct?" Albedo asked first, as she had not seen this little guy before.
The little guy saluted, "Report to the Guardian Overseer Albedo, I am Enmei, the area Guardian of the Cherry Blossom Forest."
'So cute...' she couldn't help but think for a second, before going back to business, "You said Shuten Dōji already expected my arrival?"
The little Enmei nodded his cute little head, before continuing, "I have been sent to be your Guide to the Imperial Pagoda Lady Albedo, Please follow me."
Albedo simply nodded, while displaying a gentle smile. This was more often a facade, but she also appreciated fellow creations. At least as long as they were loyal to the last Supreme Being, her beloved master, Lord Momonga.
'But how did he know that I would be coming?' This question remained in her mind, it was the only among the Guardians who had such farsight as to predict her coming to gather them.
'But he is also the only creation among the residents of Nazarick, besides Pandora's Actor, who was made by my beloved Lord Momonga. So it is normal that he is special...'
Thinking about it, she attributed the peculiarity of Shuten Dōji as an achievement on Momonga's chest.
Following along, with the little guy running ahead with his small feet, Albedo had an easy time appreciating the rather unique landscape here. These countless Cherry Blossom trees, they were currently walking through, were something she definitely wanted to watch one day with her Lord.
'Maybe a picnic here, with Lord Momonga, and then he would take me... here in the open...'
Her mind was so lost in such fantasies that she didn't even realize until she stood in front of the 9-layered Imperial Pagoda, that she had arrived.
"Please come with me, Lady Albedo." the little Enmai called out to her aging while walking to the entrance, with Albedo following behind him.
The doors were opened from inside by Minions, it was much different in comparison to the impertinence of the Minions of other floors, who hindered her with useless Greetings.
'That is the way minions should behave...' The Minions in the whole Pagoda were all prostrating themselves as she walked up to the 9th layer.
The only two who were standing were the ones who had opened the door for them to enter, but immediately afterward, they also prostrated themselves.
When reaching the 9th Layer, Enmei walked up to the room in the center and knocked before speaking, "Lord Shuten Dōji, Enmei is here to guide Lady Albedo."
"Come in." A voice sounded from inside, upon which the little Enmei opened the door and led her inside.
What greeted her was Shuten Dōji, with a tall muscular but still lean body, with neck long wild black hair, and two horns sprouting close to his hairline on his forehead.
His canine teeth were too big to be hidden inside his mouth and were clear to all to see, but this didn't make him less handsome, if she wasn't in love with her beloved Master then such a man wouldn't be bad, but after all she was in love with her master.
Besides the man, to each side was a woman, both of whom she knew as well, one being the nine-tailed fox, the kitsune Queen, Shiro.
The other was the black-haired Tengu Queen of the 9th Floor, Yoru, her adorable but rather twisted little sister.
"Welcome on the 9th floor Albedo, I guess you are here to pick me up for a meeting?" Shuten Dōji greeted her and immediately came down to business.
She appreciated such behavior very much, so she didn't dangle around either, "Greetings Shuten Dōji, little Sister, Shiro, and Kiyomi." She didn't forget the last person in the room. who was sitting a bit on the side, before continuing, "It is as you guessed, Lord Momonga called for a meeting of the Floor Guardians on the 6th Floor."
Shuten Dōji nodded, then he patted the two girls to his left and right on the head before standing up, "I will leave the 9th Floor in your hands for now."
Then he turned to Kiyomi, "Please go and invite Hisahito back to the Imperial Pagoda." He then turned to Enmei, "Thank you Enmei for guiding Albedo and please wait here until I return."
The people addressed one after another nodded, accepting their orders, and at that moment, Shuten Doji and Albedo were already leaving the room.
The two walked towards a secret place in the Cherry Blossom Forest, this place was called the Cherry Blossom Pagoda and it lay in the Cherry Blossom Sanctuary.
This place was the home of the Administrator of the teleportation gates throughout the whole of Nazarick, Aureole Omega.
