Chapter 7: New Home & Exploring

As I woke up from sleeping underneath a tree, I looked around and saw that the sky was unnaturally black, and if I looked closely and hard, I could see a round dome across the sky.

Next to me was a black suitcase with a lock on it. Taking a moment to look around me to see if there was anything else besides this suitcase, I noticed the clothes I was wearing. I was wearing a standard pair of black jeans, a light blue shirt, and black running shoes.

Deciding that I had enough of looking around, I wanted to see if I could open this suitcase or if it was locked and I had to find a key for it. Picking up the suitcase, I put it on my lap, took a deep breath, and opened it.

It almost opened without any force, in the suitcase there was some paperwork for my identification, underneath the paperwork was some money to help me get around.

Picking up a piece of paper, there was an address which I believe will be my new home. The only bad thing is that I don't know where in the world this place is. So I think it would be better to find some type of transportation to help me get home.

Another thing is I'm by myself now. When I asked for a body immune from any negative conditions, it included all mental illnesses. It's sad that multiple personalities are considered a sickness and that I'm all by myself now, but we all agreed on this. The good thing is that some of our traits have combined, and I even have new traits that the other three had and I didn't.

After gathering my thoughts and containing my emotions, I got up. I picked up my suitcase, then I walked towards the road, and I looked around to see if I could find any taxis or if there were any Uber drivers.

Unfortunately for me, I had to ask someone where on earth this place was, but luckily, Lucas was a talkative person and good at socializing. Thanks to me getting some of everyone's traits, I can now talk to people somewhat more comfortably.

After looking around for a while, I saw an older man in a business suit walking down the street. Before walking toward him, I had to thank myself for learning Japanese to watch anime before coming here.

Walking up to the older man, I said, " Excuse me, sir, I'm Evans Xander. I'm lost and have no clue where my home is, so I thought to ask you if you could help me on my way." Then, I slightly bowed my head towards the man.

"Hello there, I am Nakamura Akira. I don't mind helping you find your way. I have some spare time before I have to leave. Will you tell me where your destination is, or do you have any type of address memorized?" He responded to me with a gentle smile.

I showed him the paper, and he widened his eyes and said, "You live close to here. I wonder how you ended up getting lost and ended up here."

"I'm very sorry, I have a terrible sense of direction. I walked off to look around to try and memorize my surroundings and I ended up dozing off underneath a tree." I said as I bowed my head again.

He just chuckled at him and then told me to follow him. As I was following, him I continued to observe my surroundings to get to know the area around my home.

After about 5 minutes of walking, we came upon a 2-story house. It looked like the second story only contained two or three rooms. Looking at the house, Akira said, "Well, it looks like this is your home."

Before he left for work, I bowed my head at a ninety-degree angle and said, "Thank you very much for helping me find my way home, and I hope you have a good day."

"Haha, just don't get lost again. Not everyone is kind enough to help you find your way home," he said while waving his hand and laughing at me.

When he started to walk away, I waved my hand at him and started to thank Lucas for his socializing skills since Tom, Zach, and I weren't the best at communication.

Walking into the house, there was a regular walk-in with a shoe rack to the left of the entrance. At the shoe rack, there was a pair of black slippers to swap into. I also noticed that the floor was wooden.

Taking off my shoes and putting on the slippers to walk inside the house. Taking a few more steps inside the house, I continued to walk around to take in the surroundings.

Walking down the hallway and looking left, there was a living room fully furnished. It has a couch, a lovely black rug in front of the couch, and a 75-inch TV on a black stand.

Then I looked to the right, and there was a kitchen. It wasn't the most extensive kitchen but it was a decent size. It was large enough to fit two people shoulder to shoulder and still have a little bit of room.

Walking into the kitchen, I opened the fridge to see if there was anything in there or if I had to go out and get some things to cook. I had hopeful thoughts since I had a pair of slippers in the shoe rack, but I was very unlucky, and the fridge was as clean as the surface of Antarctica.

Turning away from the fridge with a downcast expression, I decided to go upstairs and see what was up there.

After trudging up the bland stairs, there was a hallway, and looking to the right, there was a singular door, and to the left were two doors on opposite walls. I decided to go to the right, where the single door was.

Walking into the room, it turned out to be a bedroom the room was mainly black and blue, which were my favorite colors. The bed sheets were black, and the blanket was a mixture of the two, with the same being for my two pillows.

The bed was pushed up against the wall next to a window, with a nightstand to the right with a lamp on it. Straight across the bed was another TV. It was nearly as big as the one downstairs, only 55 inches.

To the right of the nightstand, there was a closet full of clothes. Seeing all of these clothes, I almost dropped down crying, asking why I had clothes prepared but no food.

Walking out of the room, trying not to shed a tear, I walked to the other two rooms. In one room was another bedroom, when I saw this I thought to myself why, in the world do I need two bedrooms?

Is it just in case I get bored of one room and want to go to the other? The room was even the same as the other one. The last room looked like it was supposed to be a gaming room, but it only had a computer and a lot of space for something else. It looked like I had to buy the Neural Nano-Interface that would allow me to play MMORPGs.

Looking at the time, it seemed to be 5 pm already since it was 5 pm. I thought that I should order the Neural Nano-Interface tomorrow since I still had to get food for dinner.

Going to the computer and sitting in the chair, I decided to go and look for a map with all the nearby stores. Looking at the map, it seemed as if there was a Covenant store a few blocks down from my house.

Taking a few bills out of the suitcase, I decided to walk out of the house to go to the convenience store. As I was walking I started to think about what I should do since I have a whole year before YGGDRASIL comes out.

I saw that I was in front of the store, and before walking in, I took a deep breath and stepped in.
