Chapter 14: Playing around

(3rd person pov)

 Hovering over the insectoid race for about a minute and thinking about how it would be to be an insect in the new world Xander scrolled past it.

 Even though it would be nice to have an army of insects fighting for Xander he thought that there would have been no point in him learning all of these combat styles and asking for the operation fruit when he eventually entered the new world.

 After he scrolled a few times he saw that the angel race was in the heteromorphic category. Seeing this here Xander tilted his head to the side and wondered why in the world is this here, after all, most people would put it in the human category, or the humanoid category.

 Shaking his head he continued past the angel race and came upon the demon race, seeing this he became even more confused about why demon and angel were in the same category, and also why in the world wouldn't anyone wanna be them.

 Since the perks that they could give you would possibly have some of the highest, and best stats later on in the entire game.

 Stopping on the demon for a moment thinking about the perks and disadvantages it would give him, the only thing that was keeping him from picking it was that it was going to have mainly magic usage.

 While magic was cool and could be very versatile, Xander just thought that it wasn't for him.

 What Xander wanted to be the most was a close-quarter combat player, since he spent so much time with weapons and he didn't know if the operation fruit would work with anything without a bladed side. He didn't know if he could shape mana into a blade and use it with the operation fruit.

 Thinking about what he wanted to be he passed on the demon race, while he could be a battle mage Xander just didn't wanna use magic too much. Even though he may not wanna be a magic man, he would still progress into the magic field.

 Xander scrolled once more and he saw one race that made his eyes shine in brightness. The race he saw was vampire since it could be used as a close-quarter combat or be a mage.

 Another plus side to being a vampire is that they are stupidly scary, and while it may not be important Xander did find it fun to scare people now and then.

 Also with the classes that he had wanted to pick he knew that it would be relatively easy to scare people out of nowhere.

He did continue to scroll to see a few more races he questioned why they were in the heteromorphic category and the one that was the weirdest was a fairy.

 When you think of fairies they would typically go into the human/ demi-human category in most other games.

 After not seeing anything else catch his eyes he thought that vampire would be the best choice for what he wanted to do.

 (Xander pov)

 After clicking on the vampire race I felt my body morphing and changing, when I looked down onto the water I saw my reflection and it scared me so much that I almost fell to the ground.

 Standing still for a second I recollected myself and pulled myself together, and after picking the race another screen popped up.

 What popped up was the places where you could spawn, the main places that caught my eye out of the 9 places there were Helheim and Niflheim.

 The main reason that they caught my eye is that I know that they will be the main places where Heteromorphic races gather. While I didn't want much interaction with people it would still be good to be where the same race is.

 After quick contemplation I decided on Niflheim, the main reason being that it was a cold place while Helheim is a hot place, and while it may not end up mattering since we wouldn't feel anything such as being too cold or being too hot.

 I just like the scenery of a realm of ice and mist, inhabited by ancient ice giants instead of Helheim which would be more like an inferno-like hell where mainly undead monsters such as skeletons, and zombies would thrive.

 Before I clicked on the Niflheim realm a person spawned in front of me, they decided to look around and take in the scenery, and when they looked to their left they saw me

 Since he saw me I thought I should play along and see if I could get a funny reaction from him so I started to lean in closer and show my teeth.

 After looking at me I swear I could almost see their soul floating up and away from me, but before it could get too far it came back down.

 When it entered the person again he slowly started to wobble back and forth until he fell onto his back.

 Even though he was still in a black avatar I can swear that I can see his eyes rolling into the back of his head.

 After seeing this I thought of Lucas and when he said that I was more ugly than I originally thought.

 Then when I started to think about it I thought about why I leaned in closer and tried to play around with him, and it was then that I realized one of the traits I picked up from Lucas.

 I could easily tell which traits were mine, Tom's, or Zach's, but I never found one of the few traits I acquired from Lucas. 

 Now I have only found two traits I have picked up from Lucas, one is better communication with people, and the second is that I seem to get enjoyment from teasing and playing with people.

 After I realized this I put my hand on my head thinking that I was going to be a handful for other people, while I was face-palming I clicked on Niflheim.

 Entering the world had a cut scene of a beautiful white forest with snow everywhere with a tall mountain in the background.

 One thing that I did remember about Niflheim is that the closer you get to the center the more dangerous the monsters get, but not only that the terrain gets even more dangerous.

 When I spawned in I was in the same forest that I saw in the cut scene, after spawning another screen popped up and it said to choose a weapon and choose the first class. 

 While this screen popped up a light glassy blue bubble surrounded me. Since I didn't know what it was I touched it and I saw that I couldn't pass it or break it.

 After seeing this I guessed that it was some sort of protective bubble that kept me away from the outside while I chose the class and weapon, and once I did that it would disappear, or it would disappear after taking a few steps, but that was only a guess I made.

 Remembering which classes I wanted to have, and the sudden revelation of one of Lucas's traits that I have gotten, I face palmed one more time and said out loud to myself in a whisper "People in the Ainz Ooal Gown guild are going to hate me." 

 Clicking on the classes first I saw how many different classes there were and how they were organized. 

 They were separated into Warrior, Thief, Magic, Production, Commander, other/unclassified, and Special originated categories.

 Since I already knew which class I would want to use I skipped past all of the other classes and went to the Thief category and clicked Assassin as my first class.

 The main reason why I wanted to be an Assassin, is that ever since I was a child I thought that Assassins were the coolest thing ever since they could be invisible and rarely get caught.

 For my weapon, I picked my favorite weapon which was a scythe, ever since I saw the scythe I always thought it was amazing and wondered why no one ever used it.

 The only people who ever used it were a person who represented a reaper, or death. I know that scythes were mainly used for farming, but I thought that as a weapon they could go so much farther.

 Before the blue bubble went away I went into my Status window and saw that there was a place where the name was blank, and I saw that I had an extra racial class.

 I clicked on the name and changed it to Zero for now, I thought that later once I thought of a good name for a vampire I could change it.

When I clicked on my racial classes a sudden window popped out in front of me.
