18 World Tournament - 2

Lucian dodged a straight sword slash from his opponent, SigmaMale69, as he swung his two-handed sword like a maniac. Despite the constant, wild swings, Lucian effortlessly dodged them, moving like a trained warrior.

Lucian could tell, from his opponent's reflexes and build so far, that this player had little to no strategy. He didn't even have a properly min-maxed character. When Lucian took one of his attacks, not even a single point of damage was inflicted, indicating that his Physical Attack stat was below 70.

This player probably tried to be a cool magic swordsman and chose multiple magic and physical job classes, forgetting that a good build is one that's built with patience and trial and error. Only a moron would be so confident with such an atrocious build.

"I thought you said you'd beat me up? Don't tell me all this time you haven't fought anyone with the same level as yours?" Lucian asked as he once again dodged the sword slash from SigmaMale69.

"Was all your talking just a farce? Were you just bullying low-level players trying to feel superior? What a pathetic piece of..." Lucian dodged another attack and leaned near the player's head, whispering, "Shit." His opponent followed up with a downward slash, but he was unable to land it yet.

The player shouted, "Shut up!" and cast a spell.

"[Chain Explosion]" he chanted aloud instead of using his console, which made it seem rather foolish since he was essentially announcing his move to Lucian. Lucian couldn't help but think that this guy wasn't very smart, as using voice commands for spells in PvP was quite unusual unless you were trying to deceive your opponent, which this player clearly wasn't capable of given his actions thus far.

Lucian held his hands forward, and his gauntlets lit up. Before the player's spell could take effect, Lucian was surrounded by an everburning flame barrier.

Soon, an explosion echoed, followed by a few more in a chain reaction. Dust arose as Lucian's opponent waited to see Lucian's HP, hoping to deal a significant blow with his spell.

However, what greeted him was Lucian casually standing there with a smiling emoticon on his face.

"Is that the best spell you have in your repertoire? I thought you could do better," Lucian said mockingly as he made his move for the first time, using his skill [Phantom Step] to instantly appear right beside the player.

"Try this," Lucian whispered softly as he punched the player right in the head, hurling him towards the end of the arena. However, it didn't end there as he immediately teleported himself right where the player appeared and once again punched him.

Lucian dealt constant damage for 20 seconds until the player's HP reached zero, causing him to vanish from the arena.

[You won your first round]

A big screen appeared floating at the center of the arena as Lucian smiled, feeling a little better after 'defeating' that opponent.

"I can't wait to have some fun," Lucian said as he clenched his 'Claws,' with a smirk on his face, hidden by his avatar, eagerly awaiting his new punching bag—I meant opponent.

*************

"Mei mei, I want to eat some sushi," Lucian said while sitting on the couch in his living room.

Night had already fallen on the world, not that it mattered, as the world remained the same regardless of the time of day.

It was the second day of the world tournament, and Lucian had already completed all his battles. He had even been chosen for the semi-finals, which were set to take place tomorrow. These semi-finals would mark the beginning of the real world tournament, the one that would be streamed on multiple platforms and channels.

"But are you sure you want sushi? I mean, won't it be too heavy for your stomach?" Mei Mei asked, genuine concern evident in her voice. Even a speck of sweat could be seen on her brow as she worked in the kitchen, preparing some sweets for Lucian. He had recently started eating them again. These sweets weren't made with sugar but rather a healthier alternative for sweetness that didn't affect his health..

"Yes, my digestion and bowel system are fine these days. Not to mention, I'm feeling very hungry, and watching some Teatube videos made me crave sushi," Lucian said as he browsed through his phone, which was now functioning as a tablet.

Lucian's hands moved with soft motions as he scrolled through the Yggdrasil wiki page. Earlier, he had been browsing through 2channel moments ago but couldn't find the information he wanted, so he returned to his usual site.

Lucian was currently looking at the information available on the rankers, which referred to the players in the top 10.

Out of the top 10 rankers, 5 of them are humanoid, 3 are demi-human, and only 2 are heteromorphic. This surprised Lucian initially because, in theory, heteromorphs should be more powerful, but it seems that not many players chose to play as heteromorphs.

"Fine then," Mei Mei sighed. She knew that his bowel system was working fine because she had been keeping track of it, albeit without letting Lucian know. She continued, "What kind of sushi do you want to eat then?"

"Some unagi, aji, salmon, uni, and chutoro," Lucian said with a smile as he continued to browse through the website.

"As you wish," Mei Mei replied with a smile as she brought out the cupcakes she had baked and began preparing the cream to pipe onto them.

Lucian smiled as the sweet scent of the cupcakes filled the air, eagerly anticipating their arrival. He felt joyful and happy today, knowing that tomorrow he would finally get the World Champion class.

Lucian patiently waited for the sweets to cool while browsing the Yggdrasil wiki page.

Race: Petra Tib Nig

Class: Monk

Information available: None

Lucian paid 30,000 yen for this information, and all he could discern was that the player was a monk belonging to the Petra Tib Nig race of humanoids.

Considering his race, the monk class seemed fitting for Lucian's opponent, Petra Tib Nig, a humanoid species blessed by the earth. They share similarities with Wild Elves but are more attuned to the earth, gifted with physical strength from their connection to the earth and its creatures. Tomorrow, Lucians first opponent would be this player.

Rank 7 and 8 are also in competition. The winner between them will face the victor of the match between Lucian and this Petra Tib Nig player. It should now abundantly be clear to everyone that Lucian is going to win this match.

Lucian attempted to gather information about the other two ranked players, but as always, he couldn't uncover any notable details about them. It seemed like these players guarded their secrets well. After all, they had become rankers for a reason, as dedicated participants in daily PvP battles—they were certain to protect their secrets.

Lucian turned off his tablet and headed to the kitchen, not even waiting for his maid to bring the sweets.

**************

A cold wind breezed through Lucian's long, golden-blonde hair, his avatar's hair animated to flow with the virtual wind. This effect, despite being in a closed space, was thanks to one of the mods Lucian had added.

Currently, he stood in a preparation room. The moment he logged in, he had been teleported into this room and given instructions and rules for the semi-finals and finals.

Lucian had already read through the instructions and was now eagerly awaiting the timer to hit 0 so he could be teleported and the battle could begin.

He was eager to see what kind of arena the devs had prepared, something that would make the already challenging PvP battles even more difficult for normal players..

"Well, whatever it is, it'll sure be fun as heck!" Lucian exclaimed as he prepared himself. His typical armor was on him; however, this time, he donned a mask. This mask would hide his face as well as his IGN and allow him to use a fake name. Although Lucian wouldn't care much about popularity, after winning the world championship, he would likely be hunted for his world champion class weapon. This was a precautionary measure to avoid unnecessary attention..

[01:23]

Lucian immediately donned his mask, a draconic green design with two horns, slits for eyes, and a small incision for a mouth, giving it an eerily dangerous appearance.

As the timer reached 0, Lucian was momentarily blinded by a bright light before feeling the sensation of teleportation. When the light dimmed, he opened his eyes and was greeted by something unexpected.

Lucian gazed at the ground beneath him, finding lush green grass. In front of him, a mountain rose, and as he looked further, a lake came into view, seemingly ending where the Earth's edge did. He stood on a massive crescent-shaped island, suspended in space. Stars, galaxies, and planets surrounded the island, appearing as if they were in orbit around it. The surreal sight left him awe-struck.

Lucian's eyes widened as he looked up, realizing that there wasn't just one crescent island. Above him, he saw more of them, each with its own unique features. One had crimson red volcanic mountains, while another had frozen peaks and winding rivers.

There were numerous crescent-shaped islands, each representing its distinct terrain and environment. Lucian's eyes were shining with excitement as he observed a pterodactyl-like monster adorned with lightning-like patterns soaring at incredible speed. He spotted dragons gracefully gliding through the air and Drakes leaping from one crescent island to another.

Amidst the grassy ground he stood on, Lucian could see could see some velociraptor-like monsters walking on the grass on; however, they didn't even notice him.

The scenery was so beautiful that Lucian didn't even pay attention to the bright light that descended in front of him. His eyes were fixed on this beautiful scenery, which once again reminded him of how beautiful the world could be.

The diversity of these floating islands left him marveling at the breathtaking spectacle before him

[Player 1 and Played 2 are both here]

It was only when a loud voice rang out that Lucian snapped out of his daze and looked ahead, where he found a new player standing before him.

It was a guy wearing shamanic robes that were violet in color. His entire body was covered in tattoos, and half of his chest was visible, half-covered by his robe. His bald head was adorned with an X-like tattoo of two snakes. In his right hand, he held a carefully designed stick, and in his left hand, he carried a bead necklace that emitted a brilliant golden glow.

"Isn't it beautiful?" Lucian could clearly hear the player's words. In fact, he couldn't help but voice his own opinion.

"It's indeed very beautiful." Although the scenes around the nine worlds were stunning, this arena looked even more magical. It seemed as though countless worlds had been brought together to create this single, thriving arena. It was a truly thrilling and breathtaking sight to behold..

"Our battle is about to begin. Don't lose in the early stages, Unknown player," said the monk, creating some distance between himself and Lucian.

Lucian also snapped out of his daze and focused on his opponent.

From his attire, it was clear what kind of character he was portraying. Lucian could guess that this player was definitely going to make things interesting.

[The battle will start in 30 seconds. Any words you players have?]

A loud voice echoed from one of the distant stars, shining brighter than the others.

Lucian and the other player nodded in unison as their eyes locked onto each other.

Both were eager to gauge each other's strength.

Yeah, yeah, I know, I'm taking my time with this and maybe it's boring for you. But believe me, this will end in few chapters. Also, I just wanna write more Yggdrasil content, before departing for New World. After all, you can't just go back.

Yggdrasil is such a beautiful concept to me, and there are so many things I can expand on. But the only thing limiting me is, you guy's. I want you guy's to like the fanfic too, after all, I can't be the only one enjoying it. So, we either skip this Arc, and I'll just give a brief explanation, or we go through this Arc, and enjoy it.

The choice is yours:

1 - Skip the Arc dork!

2 - Don't skip the Arc dork!

Also, do you guy's want Asuna in the harem? Like, I can add her as a player if you want. But well, I already have so many Charachters planned for NPCs, feel like it'll be too much.

Give me your suggestions.

Drop a Power Stone.

If we reach 100+ Power Stones Today, another chapter drops.

Another 2000+ words chapter. I'm working too hard.(Need compensation in the form of Power Stones)
