The bathrobe was covered in various slimy medicines that had been applied during the check-up. His body was filled with the scent of these different medicines, which he had grown accustomed to..
"Mei mei, please prepare the bath for me. I need to clean up," Lucian said as he continued to chat with his clan mates on the phone.
"Right away," Mei Mei replied.
Lucian leaned back on the sofa, seeking some much-needed relaxation. While the medical check-up hadn't physically exhausted him, it had taken a mental toll.
It had been a year since Lucian began playing Yggdrasil. During the initial months, he was focused on leveling up, exploring the world, completing chain quests, and hunting hidden bosses. However, after winning the World Tournament and obtaining the World Champion class, Lucian had taken a more relaxed approach to the game.
After obtaining the World Champion class, Lucian decided to fulfill Touch Me's request and create a clan with him. Together, they chose the name [Nines Own Goal] for the clan, a name Touch Me had suggested because he wanted it to carry a meaningful and significant message.
Since all the members were recruited by Touch Me, they unanimously agreed to make him the leader of the clan. It had been six months since the creation of Nines Own Goal.
Since everyone in the clan, except for Lucian, was a working adult, they could only meet up on weekends. They planned their meetings in advance through the group chat, coordinating their quests, helping each other level up, searching for specific items, and exploring various aspects of the game during these weekend sessions.
In their clan right now, there was 1 Paladin, 1 SwordMaster, 1 Blacksmith, 1 Assassin, 1 Chef, 1 Priest, 1 Two-Sword Ninja, and 2 Sorcerers. The first was Momonga, and the second was Lucian himself. Lucian hadn't told his clanmates about his cheat class that allowed him to solo almost everything. He used his ring to seal his stats and played as a mage, a decision that made him very happy. After all, he had only recently realized how much fun the game could be when played with friends. Lucian could truly appreciate the game even more now.
One of the main reasons he didn't reveal his cheat class to everyone was Suzune. Despite Lucian essentially sponsoring her for his benefits and providing her with multiple benefits that changed her life, she remained reluctant and fearful of losing her job. Lucian understood her concerns and respected her wishes.
Lucian was thoroughly enjoying the game with his friends, and he couldn't be happier. He was actually quite excited about the idea of inviting new clan members. The clan had initially formed with players who had been PKed and saved by Touch me, like Momonga and Amanomahitotsu. Adding new Heteromorphic players would be a great addition to their group.
These heteromorphic players were actually some of Lucian's friends whom he had discovered in the game and greatly enjoyed their company. They included Bukubukuchagama, who was a voice actress for one of Lucian's favorite erogames. Lucian was initially shocked when he learned about her real-life identity and discovered it through her brother, Peroroncino, who was a Birdman and also played Yggdrasil. Peroroncino seemed somewhat apprehensive about his sister's voice acting career for some reason.
Another friend was a mangaka named Whitebrim, who had a strong obsession with maids. Whitebrim was actually a lot envious when he found out that Lucian was a rich brat with a real-life maid. However, their friendship deepened after they explored a limited-event dungeon called [Maids Haven for Master]. This dungeon featured rare maid gears and bosses with maid aesthetic and theme, and both Lucian and Whitebrim bonded over their shared interest in it, becoming close friends.
Lastly, there was Ulbert Alain Odle, a player Lucian encountered in the North Ifingr Port, a river port connecting Asgard to Jotunheim through a layer of icy frozen river. Lucian stumbled upon Ulbert purely by coincidence, as he had recently purchased information about a special class known as [World Disaster]. This class had a requirement to kill a player who already possessed it to gain access. Lucian had learned that one of the players with the World Disaster class was the guild leader of a small guild near the North Ifingr Port.
Interestingly, both Lucian and Ulbert had the same goal in mind, but Ulbert hadn't purchased the information; instead, he was the one who had put it up for sale. Ulbert needed money after accidentally spending it on gacha items and was in a tight spot financially. He had set an exorbitant price for the information and even waited at the North Ifingr Port for potential buyers.
When Lucian encountered Ulbert, he initially couldn't believe it was him, who had the [World Disaster] class. After all, Ulbert was a demon, and it seemed unlikely that he would have a guild on the outskirts of Asgard, which would be the perfect place to hunt heteromorphic players. However, Lucian soon confirmed that Ulbert was the player, who possessed the World Disaster class. Ulbert didn't reveal that he was the one who posted the ad; instead, he retaliated by using his Super-Tier magic, [Grand Catastrophe], on Lucian. Lucian was thrilled because it meant he took damage from the attack. In the end, Lucian defeated Ulbert but spared his life, and they became close friends. Lucian even let Ulbert heal after their battle and have conversation.
They had a conversation about how Lucian admired Ulbert's dramatic chants, which made the game feel like a true fantasy. Lucian considered Ulbert one of his best friends and felt they shared many similarities, especially when it came to their chunibyo tendencies.
While Lucian had initially given up on acquiring the World Disaster class, Ulbert continued to give him hope by suggesting that there were likely many players out there with the same class. Ulbert even offered to help Lucian find them. They spent a lot of time playing together on weekends when Lucian's clan was busy with their activities. Ulbert became a valuable friend and ally in Lucian's Yggdrasil adventures. And he thoroughly enjoyed his company.
"Master, the bath is ready. Let's wash you before you start diving into your addiction again," Mei Mei suddenly entered the living room and began to undress Lucian.
"Hai, hai," Lucian left his phone behind as he decided to follow his maid's words and take a bath.
