Lucian lowered his body to the ground, his arms extended as he pushed his chest away from the floor, his slight muscles stretching with each repetition.
Music played in the background, providing motivation for himn as more sweat dripped from his body with every push. Despite his face being covered by a thin black mask, which extended beneath his nose and mouth, it may seem like it would obstruct his breathing and make the pushups even more challenging. However, that was not the case. These were special masks designed for air filtering, ensuring they didn't affect his breathing flow. Instead, they increased the amount of oxygen Lucian could take with every breath.
Even though Lucian shouldn't be pushing his body to its limits like he currently was, engaging in strenuous exercise, which was not advisable for someone with CF-ALD, he still persisted.
"45," Lucian counted, his soft voice resonating throughout the room, blending with the background music.
The live chat erupted with new excitement every time Lucian completed a push-up.

"48," Lucian continued, pushing himself to the limit. With each push, his body seemed to crack, as if his muscles were breaking apart. His breathing grew increasingly shallow.
"49...50..." Lucian muttered as he strained to complete one final push-up. With that, he allowed his body to fall to the ground, his breathing ragged and labored, as if he had been holding his breath for hours.
"Here, master!" Mei Mei, who had been standing nearby, hurriedly placed the phone on a stand and rushed to Lucian's side. She helped him sit up, but his breathing was so labored that it seemed as if he could collapse at any moment. Nausea and lightheadedness washed over him, and the world spun around him.
The chat once again exploded with worry.

He started feeling better than before.

Taking a few deep breaths, Lucian managed to get up without Mei Mei's assistance. She stood behind him, also wearing a mask, but for a different reason. Unlike Lucian, who wore the mask to ensure better oxygen supply, Mei Mei concealed her face with it. She had no intention of becoming an internet sensation to the point where it would become troublesome.
Lucian made his way to the phone and turned off the camera while leaving the livestream running. The live chat was still abuzz with a mix of compliments regarding Lucian's appearance and physique, some of which were genuine, but others went into creepy territory. He placed the phone on the table and left the room, his sweaty body yearning for a refreshing shower.
"Shower is already ready, Master. Enjoy your time alone until I come to assist," Mei Mei informed him as she watched Lucian depart. She then walked over to the phone and disabled the chat function, focusing on the top live comments instead.

This was the most popular thread on 2 Channel right now. Lucian had actually created this thread with the intention of sharing his fitness journey and progress. However, he had quickly gained a following of supporters. Surprisingly, he had no haters; people genuinely appreciated his efforts. Lucian was training his body for two reasons. First, for the sake of DMMO, because he felt he could do it. Despite his vulnerability to pollution and poor air quality, he was determined not to be weak in every aspect of life.
As for the second reason, well, it was pretty easy to guess, considering his increasingly wild nights.
"Mei mei, come here," Lucian's voice resounded in the room. Mei Mei hurriedly turned the phone off and placed it on the table.
"Right away," Mei Mei replied with a smile on her face as she immediately ran to him.

Sitting on his bed, Lucian was engrossed in a conversation with someone while munching on some cookies.
"Not for playing Yggdrasil... How many times are you going to lie?" questioned the woman displayed on the TV screen. She wore an office suit, her brown hair disheveled, and her eyes sunken as if she hadn't slept in a while.
"Yeah, yeah, fine. Even if it's for Yggdrasil, so what? Is there any reason I can't play Yggdrasil anymore? I mean, sure, I haven't played it for a year. But that doesn't mean I can't play it now if I want," Lucian replied, continuing to munch on his cookies. He grumbled a little, as Yggdrasil had become a sensitive topic for him. However, that didn't mean he wasn't interested in it again. He would be lying if he said he didn't crave that sense of adventure once more. In fact, he badly missed it. Despite playing many DMMO-RPGs over the years, none of them had come close to the excitement that Yggdrasil had brought him.
"Lucian, I think if you want to play Yggdrasil again, you should start next week. There's going to be a new expansion pack, and I believe you'll appreciate it, considering it adds new world enemies," Suzune suggested as she straightened her hair.
"More world enemies? Most of the previous ones haven't even been discovered yet, and they're adding new ones? Lol," Lucian chuckled.
"Yeah, actually, I've also helped in the creation of one of them. Thanks to your generous sponsorship, I've come a long way. Honestly, saying thanks is not enough anymore," Suzune replied with a genuine smile on her face.
"Heh... Suzune, don't you think you should thank me some other way? Maybe tell me the location of those world enemies you're talking about..."
"No, no, no! Although I want to, even I don't know the location of all of them, though I can tell you about a few," Suzune replied, holding her head and tapping on her keyboard.
"Are you really planning to play, though?" Suzune asked as she read through some information.
"Yeah, I'm tired of this. Screw it! Anyway, I'll play solo for now," Lucian said, grumbling a little and pouting.
"Actually, do you know the clan you were in? They have actually formed a guild," Suzune said, dropping a surprising piece of information.
"You mean Nines Own Goal?" Lucian asked, a flicker of emotion and sadness passing through his eyes.
"Yeah, they cleared a Simultaneous Attack Dungeon and were even rewarded a world-class item because they did it on their first try," Suzune explained as she looked up some information on her screen.
"They even changed the name. It's pronounced 'Ainz Ooal Gown.' Yes, that's the name now," Suzune continued, holding her chin.
"They even changed the name? I guess it wasn't worth keeping," Lucian said, smiling despite his sadness. He was genuinely happy that his clanmates had been doing well. Reflecting on his own actions, he knew he had also been in the wrong, and while Touch Me had his faults, Lucian had left the game in anger without giving a chance for reconciliation. Ulbert, Momonga, Peroroncino, and Bukubukuchagama had tried to contact him in real life, but Lucian hadn't replied to any of them. The only interaction he had was some casual conversations with Bukubukuchagama in another game, a lobby game where they avoided discussing the clan since it was a sensitive topic for Lucian.
"You should play Yggdrasil. You seem lifeless to me, for some reason, even though you've got that maid of yours. Why don't you take her in the game? Or if you want, I can also join during my breaks and weekends? How about that?" Suzune suggested as she browsed through her PC.
"I think I'll play Yggdrasil. Thanks, Suzune, I think I just needed a push," Lucian replied as he stood up from the bed.
"And thanks for the kind gesture there. Are you falling for me now or what?" Lucian teased with a narcissistic smirk as he made his way to the door.
"Like hell I would! You've made me work hard for finding Yggdrasil data for you, you know. I would never be able to fall for my torturer," Suzune retorted, recalling the countless hours she had spent coding and learning to meet Lucian's demands in the game.
Lucian dramatically clutched his heart as if struck by an arrow and said, "I didn't know you thought that badly of me, Suzune... Well, I guess nothing can be done. See ya." He waved his hand, and the video call was cut as he left the room, shouting, "Mei mei, set up the console for me... It's time for some holy fun..."
