Chapter 63

[ Planning to hunt Raizel, anything to look out for when fighting him? ]

This is a question that is frequently asked by many on the [ Kill Raizel ] Wiki page. Sometimes the format is different but the overall goal of the question remains the same.

Which is normally answered by, "Watch out for his attacks, cause you'll get one shotted for sure.", if not that then, "Don't bring spell casters, they'll just end up as food for him". Etc.

Basically, the obvious stuff...

But those who truly met, fought, and died to Raizel over and over again would surely say the same thing when asked this question.

"His healing."

Which is pretty understandable. And others would surely agree no matter what answer they wrote down in this particular question.

Cause Attacks? Speed? Tankyness? All of this is manageable and is already a norm when dealing with big bosses.

But imagine how frustrating it is when your target, who is already extremely agile and can hit hard enough that even your tanks cannot take more than one hit, regenerates the damage you deal to him faster than you can follow up another attack.

Sure enough, there are spells that apply negative status effects that lower the effectiveness of things such as healing spells and skills, and normally, this is the obvious answer for dealing against Players such as Raizel but... when it comes to him, it is easier said than done really.

Cause not only does he have a ridiculously high Resist stat, which makes it harder for any casters to affect him with such spells or literally any spells that suggest conditions, but there are also his Silencing skills that outright render Casters useless the moment they enter within his vision.

He is branded as the Nemesis of the Spell Casters for a reason.

In any case, to make matters short, the entire community agrees that if you were to fight Raizel, you must first do something about his Healing. If you can't, then just find yourself a World Enemy and fight it instead, cause it will be much better than fighting that guy.

... So given all these facts, It's understandable why Bob, immediately did THAT.ย

[ Wrathful Dominion ], the skill that he immediately cast at the beginning of their battle, applies multiple Negative status effects in its targets, and one of those negative status effects, greatly reduces the effectiveness of any Healing and Regenerative spells and skills by a whopping 90 percent.

Clearly, a devastating blow for a player like Raizel who has a fighting style that heavily depends on his extreme regeneration.

However, as sad as it might be, 10 percent, in Raizel's personal opinion, would have been fine.ย

Given his high Battle adaptability, he would have found a way to make that 10 percent enough for a guy like Bob... Well, If not for the fact that [ Wrathful Dominion ], also applies a continuous damage effect to everyone that stands inside it, other than the Caster of course.

Making Raizel's remaining 10 percent regenerative capability, just enough to keep his HP still.

Also, Raizel has no way of getting rid of this Skill since Bob has a trait that bypasses all his Racial capabilities, rendering all his resistance useless. World Enemies can't be affected by things such as Crowd Controls as well. So he just has no choice but to wait for the Skill to end.

And to make it even worse as if it wasn't already, every attack that Bob makes, counts as True Damage. Meaning, that his attacks, ignore Raizel's defenses, directly damaging his HP altogether.ย

This was made known when Bob stabbed Raizel earlier. He would have died to that actually if not for his extreme regeneration. Something that is gone now.

In any case, to summarize everything, the No healing situation in addition to the multiple debuffs and negative status effects that Raizel received, plus the True damage attacks, Bob clearly managed to get the advantage in this fight.

No doubt about that.ย

So, it can really make you wonder as to why...

"... WON'T YOU DIE YOU F*CK!"

*๐˜š๐˜ธ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ๐˜ด๐˜ฉ~!*

*๐˜‰๐˜–๐˜–๐˜”!*

Bob screams at the top of his lungs as he aggressively attacks Raizel with his weapon. The one who's getting attacked on the other hand, easily dodged all those attacks, as usual, and then...

"[ Maximize Magic: Raging Hellfire ]"

Launches a counterattack by summoning a large explosion of swirling fire right in Bob's face.

"F*ck!" Causing Bob to stumble backward as his vision gets blocked.

Obviously, even though it only happened in an instant, Raizel didn't miss this opportunity and immediately tried closing in the distance, taking advantage of the situation.

*๐˜ธ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ๐˜ด๐˜ฉ~!*

As Raizel launches himself toward Bob, mid-way, after quickly empowering his spear, he throws it forward with great force.

*๐˜ฑ๐˜ฉ๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ฌ!*

Which Bob has no way of defending due to his vision being blocked by raging fires. So the thrown spear landed and pierced through his chest without any resistance at all.

"hooo~"

Obviously, that didn't end there. Cause not even a second after that, Raizel, who was now holding a fancy-looking sword, appeared right in front of him, and then...

*๐˜ด๐˜ธ๐˜ช๐˜ช๐˜ด๐˜ฉ!*

*๐˜ด๐˜ธ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ๐˜ด๐˜ฉ!*

Swiftly delivers a quick one-two slash at his stomach,

*๐˜ธ๐˜ฐ๐˜ถ๐˜ค๐˜ฉ๐˜ฌ!*

Then immediately following those two by slicing Bob's neck.

"HA!!!"

Well, unlike in reality, Bob's head didn't go flying... obviously. That's why after Raizel threw a slash at his neck, Bob's vision was then restored and he immediately delivered a punch below him, intending to flatten Raizel on the ground.

Metaphorically of course.ย Which did not matter anyway cause it was dodged by Raizel pretty easily.

Now... this series of events, is what's happening in this battlefield over and over again ever since this fight started.

Bob will throw an attack, Raizel will keep dodging it, and if the opportunity allows him to, he will do a counterattack. Repeat. Like a dance that never ends.

As it continues, Raizel will inevitably gain the upper hand he once lost, and Bob's desperation to win... will just grow larger. Or at least, given the pace of the current battle, that's what's most likely to happen.

Now the answer to the question of why Bob is losing despite having such a huge advantage is pretty apparent at this point.ย

It's cause he's facing a better Player.

A World Enemy is the strongest and most challenging entity in the entire YGGDRASIL for certain reasons. Certain reasons that are simply impossible to replicate or be mimicked by any Player at all.ย

On the other hand, in Raizel's opinion, Bob is not a World Enemy. But a Player who has the trait of the World Enemy. He can be called a World Enemy for sure, but in the end, he still fights and acts like a Player, making him one in the process.

And just as the saying within the community goes, Raizel, simply cannot be defeated in a 1v1 situation... By any Player.

And Bob is not an exemption, no matter what status he has.

That's probably why Raizel said at the beginning of their fight that as a World Enemy, Bob is utterly embarrassing. This is understandable given that, throughout the entire YGGDRASIL, Raizel is probably the Player who knows World Enemies the most due to his, 'experiences' with them in the past.

Obviously, Bob is not aware of all this. He thought that Raizel was simply insulting him, which is pretty true actually. But does it matter? At this point, not anymore probably.

Whether he likes it or not, he's about to understand that having greater stats doesn't make you the strongest Player. Because right now, in the middle of their battle, as Bob throws an attack...

*๐˜ด๐˜ธ๐˜ฐ๐˜ฐ๐˜ด๐˜ฉ!*

And Raizel dodged it, simultaneously making a counterattack...

[ Maximize magic: Nuclear Blast ]

*๐˜‰๐˜–๐˜–๐˜”!*

Bob was shaken a bit harder than before.

Now whenever this moment comes up, this is usually where Raizel takes advantage of the opportunity and makes a follow-up attack, but weirdly enough, instead of doing that, after noticing that Bob needs more time to recover than usual...

"... [Dimentional Move]!"

He suddenly activated a spell that relocated him to an area a bit far from where he was before. And then immediately after that, started casting a certain skill.

A certain skill that takes a bit of time to cast... A skill, that Bob, knows pretty well and is the exact skill that he's trying to prevent from being used. Explaining why he's maintaining a close distance throughout this entire fight and not giving Raizel space to cast such skill... up until now that is.

"OH NO YOU WON'T YOU FUCKER!"

Hence the reason why, upon recovering and realizing what Raizel is planning to do, Bob immediately dashes to where Raizel is.

Giving credit where it's due, Bob acted pretty fast and didn't take that long before he arrived in front of Raizel.

But if only he acted a second faster. He could have stopped him, but sadly, he did not. Cause before his disrupting attack could even land, Raizel managed to complete his chant.ย

Activating the skill he was trying to cast.
