11 Chapter 11

Ainz shook his head and found himself on the floor. He stood up and looked around. He was still in the white room, and he stood a few meters from the marble table and chairs.

"What happened? Did that item knock me out? Somewhat I feel different, but I am not too sure what had happened."

Ainz sat down, and as he waited soon, he started tapping the table with his right index finger. And after a few minutes, another calming aura appeared around him.

"What is taking him so long..."

As Ainz said that, the room around him started cracking and then shattered. He found himself back in the world along with the marble furniture. The area around him was devastated. He was in the centre of a giant crater; however, in the area, there were multiple smaller and larger holes. The moment Ainz realised where he was, only one word came into his mind.

"Daion"

And then another greenish aura appeared around him, calming him down. Ainz took a deep breath and stood up, and raised his hand to the side of his head.

"Message!"

Stated Ainz and continued.

"Albedo."

"L-Lord Ainz!!...We thought...."

"There is no time for that, Albedo. I want you to gather every floor guardian and the Pleiades in my office as soon as possible."

"But... As you wish."

Answered Albedo with a deep breath. And as for Ainz, he lowered his hand and looked around.

"Fly"

Said Ainz and then ascended beyond the area. The devastation was serious; it was a vast flourishing area. But now, it was nothing but a wasteland. After a few seconds, Ainz descended next to the table and took a deep breath.

"Let's go back to my office... I shouldn't be wasting my time."

A few minutes later, Ainz opened the door to his office and to his surprise, everyone was already in the room; the moment he entered, they all kneeled down before him. As Ainz looked at them, he noticed taht some of them were crying; however, he didn't say anything. He only walked over to his desk and sat down.

"Raise your heads..."

Everyone followed Ainz's order, and almost instantly, Shalltear spoke up after she rubbed her eyes.

"Lord Ainz... You are finally back... We thought something happened to you!"

"What are you talking about?!"

"My lord, you said you would go out on a special mission, but you just vanished."

Spoke up Albedo without leaving any time for Shaltear to speak. Ainz turned his attention towards Albedo, then back to the crowd before him.

"Aura..."

Started speaking to Ainz but stopped for a brief moment, allowing the dark elf girl to look at him.

"Aura, where is your brother?"

"Lord Ainz... I... I regret to inform you... but... Mare has betrayed you and is being imprisoned."

"Betrayed me? What do you mean? Explain!"

Demanded Ainz as his eyes started glowing as he gazed at Aura.

"Please allow me, Lord Ainz."

Spoke up Albedo, and then she continued.

"Mare was imprisoned because he tried to save someone who is an enemy of you, my lord, and the enemy of Nazarick. That foolish worm is also imprisoned. We believed he was responsible for your disappearance, so he has been severely tortured."

"What do you mean by "my disappearance" I was barely gone for a few hours at most. Also, tell me what you know about that one you have captured."

"As you wish, my lord! After you went out on your special mission, since you didn't bring anyone as a bodyguard, I followed you, at least to your last known location. At that time, the location became a complete wasteland, and I could not find you anywhere, so I kept on searching, and then I noticed that foolish being. He was kneeling and laughing..."

Explained Albedo; however, she was interrupted because Ainz suddenly stood up, but after another green aura, he stood back down.

"Continue!"

"Right! That worm was no other than the one who broke into Nazarick and disrespected you and disrespected Nazarick!"

"How long has it been since you captured him?"

Interrupted Ainz and glared at her. Albedo only smiled.

"Lord Ainz; said intruder has been tortured for more than a month... and I regret to inform you, but we couldn't gain any information from him."

"We will continue this discussion. Now Aura and Albedo, take me to taht prisoner!"

"As you wish, Lord Ainz!"

Replied Albedo. And then Ainz stood up, followed by Aura and Albedo. The two of them left the room and started walking.

"Lord Ainz... I apologise for my foolish brother... he exclaimed that the one we caught is not who we think he is... he proclaimed that the prisoner is a supreme being... He said his name is Daion."

Stopped Aura for a brief moment and, after a deep breath, continued.

"But we all know that you are the only supreme being left..."

Said Aura but decided to stop talking as she noticed that Ainz clenched his fists and started walking slightly faster. After some time, they arrived on the fifth floor, in the frozen prison. Albedo opened the door, and in a room full of blood, a person was chained to the wall. The person was in a morbid state. He was skinned, and his nails were all missing. Next to him stood Mare, who was holding a plate filled with rice, and in his other hand, he was holding a spoon; however, the moment the door opened, he was frightened, especially the moment he saw Ainz. Mare dropped the spoon and the plate of food and stepped back.

"HOW DARE YOU!! You dare..."

"Release him!"

Declared Ainz as he clenched his fists so hard that they were cracking. Upon hearing that, Albedo was stunned.

"B-but my lord... he is..."

"I SAID release him!"

Shouted Ainz and slammed the wall of the room with his hand. He was glaring at Albedo as another calming aura appeared around him. Ainz pulled his hand back. Albedo slowly walked over to the skinned man and released him, as Ainz ordered.

"Heh... It seems I have to let you in on a secret I wanted to tell you at a later time; at least the demonstration will be easier this way."
