Update on interesting things that happened since the last time I uploaded:

I tore my bicep while working out so everyday is leg day from now on until the foreseeable future.

I almost got chopped up in a forest, Twice.

The window of time created by Joseph dodging Touch me was enough for Joseph's prey to log out, escaping Joseph's clutches.

Joseph didn't really care about that since this wasn't his first time getting interrupted while spawn camping, what he cared about was the person who interrupted him.

Joseph looked at Touch me before he spoke "Justice has arrived?"

He turned his head left and right exaggeratedly "Strange, I can't see it anywhere."

"Then let me show it to you" touch me spoke before stepping heavily on the ground, launching himself towards Joseph.

He quickly arrived in front of Joseph, his sword slashing towards his torso.

'He's pretty fast.' Joseph thought.

'I'm way faster though.' He thought before he disappeared using a [Greater Teleportation] spell he was already prepared to use as soon as the paladin made his first move.

He appeared right behind the charging touch me and swung his scythe.

His scythe instantly broke upon contact with Touch me's silver armour.

'He's also high level.' Joseph observed before using another [Greater Teleportation], dodging the silver paladin's counter attack.

This time he appeared quite a large distance away from Touch me. Discarding the broken Scythe handle, he reached into his inventory and brought out another scythe.

The Scythe had a simple, slightly bent, completely white handle with no decorations or patterns, it's blade was pitch black.

This Scythe was Joseph's Divine grade weapon, simply named Plague.

In the time it took for Joseph to brandish his scythe Touch me had already arrived in front of him. This time, Joseph met him head on.

Joseph swung his scythe, Touch me successfully parried it and just as he was about to stab Joseph's spider head, Joseph's right scythe like front leg blocked his stab while the left one, stabbed him, successfully doing 28 DMG

After the short exchange, both parties took a few steps back, making distance from each other, however suddenly an explosion erupted under the silver paladin after he stepped on a [Magic Mine] That Joseph had prepared as part of his plan to ambush the newbie.

Taking the opportunity created by his surprise attack, Joseph dashed towards Touch me and swung his scythe at Touch me's neck, successfully landing a critical attack on him.

'He's pretty good but not as good as I expected. Oh well, he can't be blamed since I'm a master at using the scythe with extensive knowledge of the game mechanics and a really good build, considering it's the early game and most people at level 100 haven't even figured out how to cast tier 7 spells yet.' Joseph thought after making distance.

'He has really high defense, not that it matters since I've already hit him with my scythe it'll probably only take at most 10 seconds before his HP hits rock bottom.' Joseph assessed while watching the smoke fade to reveal touch me's figure.

The reason Joseph was so assured of his victory was due to his scythe, while creating it, he used the maximum number of data crystals possible.

He used all those crystals to imbue it with two effects that would activate upon a successful attack, they were the poison and bleeding attributes which when stacked would allow for the drainage of 100 HP every second.

That meant that it would only take ten seconds to kill even a player with the maximum amount of HP achievable without surpassing the Stat cap.

Sure enough, after only a few seconds Touch me was completely drained of his HP as it went down to Zero. Resulting in his death at the hands of the evil god.

He even left him a nice souvenir in the form of his helmet. What a gentleman.

.

It was another typical day in Asahi's life, he went to work, came back home, spent time with his wife and children and once it was time for his children to go to sleep he booted up his V.R headset.

A few months ago, one of his colleagues recommended him to play a game called Yggdrasil. He was hesitant at first due to the requirement of buying another console but eventually after some research he decided to buy the console along with the game.

The screen turned black momentarily before it brightened to reveal a forest that surrounded him. This was where he logged off yesterday.

After exploring around the forest and killing a few tree men he opened his map to see if there was anything interesting going on.

On the map he noticed a red dot not too far away from him, from his experience he knew that it signified a player who had killed other players at least 10 times within a short duration.

Deciding to check it out he started heading towards the red dot. He had neither the [Gate] nor any other long distance travel skills so he had to run there on foot.

After a few minutes he arrived in the square of a small empty village. That's where he found the player killer spawn camping another player, killing him over in over in a loop.

After understanding the situation, he decided to interfere to save the player. Helping others when they are in need was common sense after all.

Having made his decision he performed a sneak attack, hoping to end the battle quickly.

Surprisingly enough, the player killer managed to dodge his attack even though he attacked her from her blind spot.

After the other player taunted him, he could have just left, after all his goal of helping the other player was achieved but he decided to take the bait in order to test out her capabilities, what followed was a short battle where he was swiftly defeated.

Even though the other player wasn't a purely melee fighter and obviously had far less Physical attack compared to him he still couldn't grasp the upper hand in melee combat and was injured first before falling into a trap and being finished off.

He was even unlucky enough to lose his relic class helmet.

After respawning in a far away cave, he pondered about his build. Although his current build had it's advantages as it allowed him to become very formidable even among those at level 100 his lack of magic related skills and detection methods made it very inconvenient sometimes.

'I'll have to revise my entire build. What a headache.' He thought before he received a notification, opening the menu he found that he received a friend request which wasn't surprising as it was common for people to send him friend requests after he saved them.

What was uncommon however was for the ones he confronted to send him friend requests, that was exactly the situation that happened as he received a friend request from a player called Shiraori, it was the same player that defeated him.

He thought for a few moments as his finger hovered over the deny button but he soon made up his mind and pressed the accept button.

After accepting the friend request, the player called Shiraori sent him a message: You should invest in magic detection methods if you don't want to lose so easily in the future.

Touch me thought for a moment before replying: Thank you for your advice, I'll take it to heart in the future.

After sending his reply he waited for a response for a few minutes but the other side remained silent.

Just as he closed the chat and was about to continue on his way he suddenly received a gift through his inbox from Shiraori.

This was the first time someone gifted him something so he was curious of what it was.

Opening it, he found that it was his helmet. Taking it out he stared at it for a few moments.

In Yggdrasil there were three methods to acquire an item from another person's inventory.

The first method was to kill them which would then drop a random item from their inventory.

The second was for them to drop it on the ground and then you could pick it up, though both parties would have to meet for that to happen.

The third method was to spend 9.99$ to send it as a gift to a person's inbox directly. This method could be used no matter the distance between the players and was by far the most efficient and safest way, however it's downsides were obvious. Money.

Putting on his helmet he opened the chat function and expressed his gratitude: I received your gift, thank you for returning my helmet, it means a lot to me.

Shiraori: No worries! You deserve every bit of it. But don't worry because.

Touch me: because what?

"Because my gift just keeps on giving." A cold voice rang behind him.

Touch me turned his head around to look behind him and was met with a black blade that slashed him before he could even try and dodge.

Touch me watched as Shiraori's spider body fully exited from a large [Gate], seconds later he died and his avatar disappeared.

And so began the process of Spawn killing Touch me until he was completely penniless, but that wasn't the goal, it was simply a means to an end.

After realizing that he was in overlord, Joseph pondered about the attitude he would take towards Nazarick for years.

If he decided to join them he would gain all the NPC's of Nazarick as his subordinates and would be worshipped by them as a supreme being.

If he decided not to join them then he would have to completely exterminate Nazarick and all it's members in order to prevent them from getting in the way of his ambitions.

In the end he decided that he would join Nazarick but before that he would have to get rid of Touch me for two reasons.

For one, they have contradicting personalities which would inevitably result in disagreements and he would never allow someone who disagreed with him to exist.

The second reason was because Touch me was a future world champion. Joseph had the goal of becoming as strong as possible so he had the intention of getting not just one but ALL the world champion titles, that way he could get multiple world champion items which would allow him to become an absolute monster.

That's why Joseph used data crystals to put a tracker on Touch me's helmet and sent it to him as a gift.

His intentions for killing the newbie were simply to acquire his items. his intention for Touch me were to make him rage quit forever.

That's why, for the next 14 hours, he did nothing but kill Touch me, only stopping once Touch me was seemingly forcefully logged off through external methods.

Joseph decided to keep an eye out for Touch me in the future before he himself logged off. It was already time for work.
