Chapter 3: Awakening

After God snapped his fingers, Reina's vision turned to darkness. When she woke up, she found herself on a huge bed centered in a large, dimly lit room with black walls with gold decorations. It was something Reina would see royalty use in the manga's she has read. She hopped off the bed to exit the room and explore her newfound powers. However, when she hopped off the bed to attempt to walk, she fell through the floor.

"WAHHHHHHHHHHHHH" She screamed as she kept falling through multiple floors

She thought of ways to stop herself like trying to swim in the air or moving her arms in a T-pose in an attempt to balance herself and hope it would stop her. She tried both and of course it didn't work.

"How do I stop thissssss!" She cried.

She kept flailing until she had the thought that maybe she needed to stop moving and calm down. Reina then stopped moving which relaxed her muscles and she suddenly stopped falling. Where she arrived in what seemed like a huge lobby area. with huge stairs leading up in the middle. She assumed this was the entrance room to the mansion.

"Whew..." She exhaled.

Reina then tried to move around in the air but this time more relaxed. It was strange to her as it was like swimming but without the motions. After a few minutes of moving around she deduced her moving like this was more reliant on her mind and her mental state rather than her physically moving. However, relaxing and flexing her muscles might also be a part of it. She didn't really care about the exact function of it as long as she can move properly.

"With that out of the way, I have to figure out how to use the skills I acquired from God." Reina then phased through the two large doors, exiting the mansion. 

She arrived outside to see a vast wasteland, with grey dead trees and grey, dead-looking grass. There was many bones and tombstones all over the place and the sky was a black void without even stars or a moon. There were dozens of wraiths moving around the area aimlessly. There was no other housing except for the mansion she was in.

"Wow..." Was the only thing I could muster out of her throat. A passing wraith then noticed Reina and floated towards her.

"Miss Bellerose....." He said in an eerie, raspy voice.

Normally most people would be scared to see this but Reina just assumed it was because of the system of being a heteromorph made her not scared of such creatures as they were similar.

"Wraith...san? I have a question..." Reina whispered, not knowing how to address this creature as she did not know if he had a name or not.

"How may I be of use to Miss Bellerose...."

"..What floor is this?"

"?" The wraith had no eye sockets but tilted his head so Reina knew that he was confused at her strange question as she was the floor guardian.

"This is the 3rd floor of the tomb of Nazarick Miss Bellerose...."

Reina then confirmed that God indeed did alter the reality of Nazarick for her as the 3rd floor was originally under the jurisdiction of Shalltear Bloodfallen, the floor guardian of now only the first and second floor.

"Thank you Wraith-san. Now continue with your duties."

"Yes Miss Bellerose...."

When the wraith was far away from her. Reina then continued with what she was out here originally for. She started to think and remember on how Ainz did it in Overlord. She then remembered and said out-loud.

"Phantom Eye"

A singular eye started to float in the air and gave her the ability to see from that eye. It was like she had 3 eyes now. She then started to move it around from different perspectives. From above her, behind her, to her left side. She also tested how far it went and it seemingly went on endlessly as long as she had MP. After a while, Reina turned phantom eye off as it started to get disorienting. 

"Well using skills are simple enough. The only thing is learning to use them effectively in real-time situations." Reina nodded to herself.

It was then a portal appeared behind Reina and a beautiful woman appeared through. She had black long hair with golden eyes and white horns on her head. She wore a white dress and had large black wings on her lower back. Reina almost drooled but slurped back the drool back into her body. She knew that the person she was looking at was none other than Albedo, the Guardian Overseer of Nazarick. (A/N I don't plan on doing romance by the way unless I change my mind later on.)

"Bellerose. Lord Momonga has ordered your presences along with the other floor guardians on the sixth floor, fighting arena. Arrive as soon as possible." Albedo ordered to her. She was glaring at Reina and Reina didn't know why as she didn't know what she did to make her mad.

"Bellerose?"

Reina quickly snapped out of her daze from meeting one of the guardians of Nazarick

"Ah yes Albedo... I will get there as soon as possible." Reina said quietly to her. 

"Good"

Albedo then turned around and walked away from her. Just as she was about to enter the portal. Reina quickly realized that she could hitchhike through Albedo's portal.

"Albedo wait!" Reina yelled as loud as possible in order to get her attention but naturally her voice wasn't very loud. Luckily Albedo heard her.

"Yes Bellerose?"

"...Can I come with you?" As she pointed towards the portal Albedo was about to enter.

"...Yes come with me" Albedo said while still glaring at her.

"..Thank you Albedo" 

Reina nervously floated towards her through the portal, but they didn't arrive at the sixth floor. She found herself in a black temple that had lava oozing out of the pillars surrounding them. She remembered that this was the 7th floor that Demiurge, the guardian of the 7th floor. Reina then notices a tall man with an orange suit on with diamond eyes and a tail.

"Albedo. Bellerose. What a surprise. What do you need that requires both your presences on my floor?" Demiurge inquires.

"All floor guardians except victim and Gargantua are to arrive at the sixth floor arena under lord Momonga's orders. Bellerose merely hitchhiked off me as I was issuing the message" Albedo says with a straight face.

"Ughh.." Reina frowned

"Ah I see. Then shall we go?" Demiurge says as he walks towards them and they all walk through the portal.

The three finally arrive at the sixth floor in the black corridor leading up to the middle area of the arena.
