1 Chapter 1

There is a continent called Erok, which claims the domineering title of the world's leading power. The reason it can hold such a position doesn't lie only in military power, even though they possess the strongest one. From the citizens to their government and leaders to their researchers, they outclass the rest of the world. Every country in Erok acts as one body, so an issue against one is an issue against all. Each individual country in Erok has at least three individuals that are high ranking when it comes to magic or swordsmanship, so if an outside country was to try any funny business, they'd just be asking for death.

There was once a country known as Mariak that tried to stand up to one of the countries from the Erok continent after Erok started extorting them. Although Erok was at fault since they were exploiting and extorting valuable natural resources without permission, it didn't stop them from destroying Mariak.

Mariak tried to be cleaver and after driving away the team from Erok and captured some of Erok's people to use as bargaining chip, but that idea turned out to be a bad one.

Less than a month later after the initial incident, Erok returned with an army alongside six of those Masters, and within one week completely obliterated the entire small continent that Mariak was part of. When everything was finished, every other country in that continent except for Mariak had been destroyed, and Mariak was the only one left barely intact.

"This manga is something else! It has been quite a while since such a good one came out. For a while now it seemed like everyone was on the same formula or something, with all the monotonous patterns." A young man sitting on a restaurant chair said as he stretched out his arms in front of him. The restaurant seemed to be doing not too good in business, and had only one worker, which was the young man. "I should close this place already, no one comes here, and the day someone enters, it's some crack head requesting ridiculous amounts of discount, and I end up selling my precious food at that price."

*Cling

The bell hanging in front of the door rang as someone opened it. A middle aged man entered the small restaurant and walked to wards the boy quite oddly. 'Who's this guy now? Tut.' The young man said in his mind. The man that just entered the small shop was wearing a dark coloured purple cloak that went just below his knees. What was more eye catching was the fact that the cloths he was wearing underneath the cloak were certainly not of this time. 'How did this guy even get here?! Nobody does cosplay around these parts where everyone lives low-key and minds their business. Tut tut.'

"How can I help you sir?" The young man asked as he stood up and offered his seat to the man who was walking towards him. The man sat on the chair, but before that he removed his hood to reveal his face fully. "What do you mean how can you help me, huh? Isn't this a restaurant?" The man said a little arrogantly.

'Huh? What a cranky old head.'

"I heard that this place is the cheapest around these parts and with passable food too, haha!"

'Wait a second, this is..' "Umm, are you by any chance a traveller, old man?" The young man asked as he further looked at the man before him. When the man entered the shop, he looked rigid and well, firm on his feet. At least that's how he looked, but after removing his hood, his face was revealed to show a much older man that was very well above 60.

'This bitch.. he's a freaking homeless bastard!' "Why does this damn shop only attract these type of people?" The young man muttered to himself. 'Let's just get this over with.' "We have...." The young man listed out all the dishes they had for the man to choose from since there wasn't any menu or similar.

"Hmm, you said 'We' earlier, but I see only you in this place." The man said while stroking his chin.

'This fucking bitch! Making fun of me. You are nothing but a homeless bully. Hmph.'

After about an hour of eating and unnecessary chatter, the man finished his food. The food didn't look great and would immediately crumble your appetite if you saw it, but it tasted great, nothing compared to its looks, you certainly can't judge a book by its cover. During the man's time there, he and the boy had managed to strike up a conversation they both were interested in about the supernatural and a little bit about space and the cosmos. Unexpectedly, in the end both of them drew a little closer and ended opening up a bit to each other. Just before the man left, the young man asked why he was dressed in such a weird outfit. The man himself was a homeless traveller who wandered the earth, and with that it would be reasonable to think he would be wearing what he had on because he was currently in a cooler region.

"Actually, I found these cloths when I got lost in the nearby mountains last week. I did a bit of looting too before and after taking the cloths from the skeleton there."

'Skeleton?'

"There was a mysterious wooden box the size of your head there too where I found the skeleton and these cloths. I opened it and inside I found a black orb that seemed to not be ordinary. I tried carrying it thinking I could make some money with it after selling, but as a traveller I don't need the money, so I left it there." As the man said this, he reached into one of the pocket that was on the side of his coat and pulled out a pocket watch, and handed it to the boy. "Here, this thing seems to be some kind of guide to the place where I found these things, and I forgot to close the box, so you don't need any treasure chest key."

'This pocket clock, all its hands seem to be pointing towards one direction. Isn't this also the direction of my house?'

As the man stood up to leave, he stopped at the door momentarily, "One more thing, that box weighs at least 200kg. How something so small can weigh that much, I don't know, but you better prepare a means to move it if you want to."

'Ahh, this bitch, so that's why he didn't take it. Come here talking about the spirit of a traveller.'
