1 Ch 1: My Second Chance

Why were we created, what is our purpose in life, that is the question I ask myself every day when I wake up, why were humans created what are we to do with our life?

My name is Kurai Yoku I am thirty-four years old and work at Bank Of America, my family is from Japan but my parents moved here for more opportunities, I majored in business at College and would eventually go on to work at Bank Of America for twelve years

My life is pretty uneventful I spend my time watching TV or Anime, and occasionally reading manga or some comics, my father wanted me to become a doctor but I didn't want to and I really wasn't good at that kind of job so when he found out that I was working at a Bank he got mad and never talked to me again, my mother was kind and was supporting but she couldn't change my father's opinion of my and would later die when I was twenty-eight

That day is when I cursed this world, it had taken my mother away from me and made my father hate me, but I still kept working to this day

I was walking home today since I misted my buss, and with my luck, it was raining today, so I was forced to walk home in the rain

'Dinner will be a pain, I forgot to go grocery shopping yesterday, I think I have some leftover Sushi that I can heat up, of course, it will taste terrible but whatever, life is nothing but a wave of surprises,' thought Kurai as he walked down the street

Kurai was walking through the street when he was assaulted by a blinding light, he heard the sound of a horn and then black, he had been hit by a truck

Kurai opened his eyes, everything was blurry and out of place he knew what happened and knew that he had been hit by a truck, he tried to move his limbs but couldn't, he was unable to move at all, his body was frozen and the only thing he felt was the pain he was able to move his eyes but couldn't make anything out, he could tell he was getting weaker he had trouble breathe and could tell he was about to die

'Damit, I don't want to die, not yet I need to fix this world, I need to save it, I don't want to die yet,' thought Kurai as he looked at what he presumed to be the sky

His eyes started close and the darkness started to consume him, and so Kurai Yoku lost consciousness and died

He opened his eyes to see a white room, he was standing up and was looking at a white door in front of him, Kurai look around the room, and the only thing that he saw was a desk on his right-hand side, the door opened to show a white humanoid figure

The figure looked at Kurai for a second before going to his desk and sitting down, the figure sat down and then looked at Kurai

"So mortal shale we begin with our business," said the figure with a mouth appearing on what presumably was his head

Kurai gulped and then responded "Sure,"

"So let's see, your name is Kurai Yoku, cause of death was that your heart had been pierced by a bone, so you died at the age of thirty-four, well that is quite the sad story, but we will begin with the basic deal, so you have to options you can open that door and leave my domain or talk with me about a second chance at life, you decide, I'll give you a minute," said the figure

'A second chance at life, that doesn't sound so bad but the question is what does he get out of it, I don't think this God would just reincarnate someone for fun,' thought Kurai

"What will the cost be for this second chance," asked Kurai

The figure smiled and snapped its fingers making the door disappear

"So I take it you will be going with this option, then allow me to explain you will be given three wishes and sent to a world of your choice with these three wishes, you can't ask for Omnipotence or to become Omnipotent but you can become very close to that level, but after your second life your soul will belong to me and you will become my servant for eternity, of course, you won't be conscious when you become my servant but you will be sent to the void for the time, which is eternity as you know," said the figure

'Well this is quite the offer, but couldn't I just wish not to be sent to the void,'

"No, you can not," said the figure with its smile fading away and becoming a serious face

"I didn't know you could read my mind," said Kurai

"You are in my domain mortal, do not think of something like that again though, otherwise I'll just feed you to an Outer God," said the figure as two pairs of eyes appeared on its head

"My apologies then, I will take this second chance offer, but I would like a moment to think of my wishes," said Kurai

"I will only interfere if the wish your think of violates the rules I said,"

"Thank you,"

'I have three wishes that determine my next life, I need to think this through and make sure my wishes are going to make this second life good, first is a world, I want to go to a world that is not going to be trouble but also not going to be boring, I want to have some fun in this world as well maybe even start a family so I should pick a world that I myself enjoy, but the question is can I wish to go back to my original world,'

"Um, well God sir, am I able to go back to my original world," asked Kurai

"No, I'm afraid that is out of my power, that world is out of all God's jurisdiction, you will have to pick a world of fiction, and you may refer to me as Y," said Y

"I see, thank you for answering my question Mr.Y," said Kurai as he got back to thinking

'A work of fiction, this will be a little tricky I need to pick a world where it meets all my criteria, worlds like Marvel and DC are already out since they are too crazy and I'm not that familiar with them, that's another thing I need to be familiar with the world if I pick a world that I don't about then there would be no choice in having this second chance, but let's see I have read both Overlord and That Time I Got Reincarnated As A Slime, and know them very well same with some other manga like Naruto and Bleach, since One Piece was still on going it won't be the perfect world to live in, but what if I wish for a power of a different series like Tensura power in Overlord, yes that could work out with the power some characters have in that verse I would be overpowered in the Overlord world, that should be my first wish then,'

"Mr.Y I have decided on my first wish," said Kurai

"Well then please go on," said Y with a smile

"I would like to be sent to the Overlord world two hundred years before Ainz gets teleported there," said Kurai

"Granted, but since you have not specified the method of transportation you will be sent there either by random, the two ways of transportation are reincarnation or transmigration," said Y

"Hmm, I understand then, I will think about my next wish then," said Kurai

'Now what should my powers be, an Ultimate skill is around the level of a world Items or stronger, so any Ulitmate skill should work out for me, but the question is which one would be the best option, hmm, Rudra had a powerful one allowing him to summon angles, control people and make a shield that is impenetrable, but so did Guy and a lot of other characters, but honestly Rudra's would be more helpful to me, but how would the Dominion work since I won't be in the same verse, I'll have to ask Y guy,'

"I would like to make my second wish now, Mr.Y," said Kurai

Y nodded, signaling me to speak

"My second wish is to get the Ultimate Skill Justice King Michael, from Tensura Light Novel, but I also want to change one of the sub-skills since it won't work in the Overlord world," said Kurai

"Hmm, I know the sub-skill you are talking about and I will change it to have the following power, It will be able to control all angles in the Overlord world it doesn't matter if its an ally or an enemy if they are summoned them they will be under your control," said Y with a big smile

"Thank you, Mr.Y, I will now start thinking about what my last wish will be," said Kurai

'So this is the last wish, I should use it for the method of transportation but I also want to be able to have very powerful magic that can rival Ainz's, so I will need to ask for another skill, Rimuru had a skill called Harvest Lord Shub Niggurath, which allowed him to create skills from memories and also distribute them to allies, its an Ultimate skill so it can't create other Ultimate skills, but it's still a nice power to have and will be helpful when I need to deal with Ainz in the future,'

"I am ready for my final wish," said Kurai

"Then you may begin," said Y

"I would like the Ultimate Skill Harvest Lord Shub Niggurath, from Tensura Light Novel," said Kurai

"Very well, you will be granted the Ultimate Skill Harvest Lord Shub Niggurathin and then be sent to the world of Overlord with the other Ultimate skill Justice King Michael, and since you have not to whish for a method of transportation one will b picked by random, goodbye mortal I will see you when you die, live an interesting life, I will be watching," said Y with a smile as it snapped its fingers creating a portal underneath Kurai's feat and sucked him in, he was sent to the world of Overlord

The village was destroyed, the houses were on fire and many were dead it was a disgusting scene, to say the least, but strangely enough, a young bot with golden hair and red eyes walked out of a burning house, his hands were covered in dirt and blood the clothing he wore had a blood stain on it as well as dirt, they were brown rags and usually what peasants wear

"So this is the Overlord world, a world of magic and monsters, it is also where I am the strongest being," said the boy with a smile

'My old name was Kurai, but since I have been reborn I guess it's only fitting for a name change, the boy's name was Rudra ironically, but yes Rudra will be my new name in this new life, where I will conquer everything,' thought the little boy with a smile as he walked out the village
