67 New World XXX

"Fi-finally!" One of the mages stationed on the walls heaved a sigh of relief with a face filled with sweat. It had been more than an hour since they started firing spells after spells at the monsters.

One could see the charred and mangled monster's dead bodies lying on the charred ground near the forest entrance.

"Mages! Go and take some rest!" Alden shouted while having a distinguishable smile on his face.

Upon hearing his command, the mages retreated from their defensive positions on the walls and headed toward the nearby inns. They all had blissful expressions.

Even though they came out victorious tonight, it wasn't a guarantee that they would be able to hold off the future waves.

"We greatly lucked out tonight," Mara spoke while leaning on the short wall, looking out toward the forest.

"Yeah, I agree. Let's hope the mages can recharge their magic for tomorrow," Alden spoke while looking at the retreating mages.

"I hope so, too."

Mara replied, departing and leaving Alden behind.

"You should also get some sleep, guild master. Tomorrow is going to be even more hectic."

She advised as she descended the stairs.

"I hear you," Alden replied, taking a deep breath to calm himself.

Up in the air, Helios and Aura were floating.

'At least they can handle themselves against such weak monsters. And the power of the new Adamantite team is not bad either.'

However, I only got to see their mage and archer in action. Let's hope I could see the others in action as well. The reason I was interested in them was because I felt something different from some of them.

'I need to meet them someday,' I thought while turning my head toward Aura.

"Let's head back, Aura. There doesn't seem to be anything worth watching now," I said while beginning to fly toward the forest.

Aura followed suit, and we landed in the forest in no time. I cast a spell after landing.

"Gate."

~Scene Change~

Aleron walked through a part of the Great Forest of Tob. They'd been traveling for a few days from E-Rantel in hopes of finding the Catastrophe Dragon Lord or any powerful monster.

However, their search for the Dragon Lord or any formidable creature had proven fruitless.

"How much longer are we going to keep looking?" Beaumarchais, the newest member of the Scripture, asked with frustration. He had replaced Clementine, who had betrayed the Theocracy and taken the Crown of Wisdom.

"Show some respect, Beaum," admonished Sirion, the 6th seat of the Scripture.

While the members of the Scripture argued, Aleron's thoughts drifted back to an encounter he had a few days ago.

'I wasn't even able to sense him,' He thought while tightening his hold on his spear, a Divine Class Item left by the Six Great Gods.

"You don't look good, captain. Is everything alright?" Kaire spoke while walking beside Aleron.

Her question brought Aleron back to reality. He turned toward her and answered in his usual tone.

"I am fine; I was just thinking about our encounter with that man near the E-Rantel's entrance."

"Understandable. So, did Elysia contact you?" Kaire asked with intrigue in her voice.

After their little encounter with Helios, they sent a message to Elysia to investigate him and his companions. They used one of the *Message* scrolls they had brought from the Theocracy.

Aleron shook his hand in denial.

"She said she wasn't able to observe him. All we know is his general location."

Kaire obviously knew about the plan to attack and mind-control them.

"So when are we going to attack them?" Asked Kaire.

"They are about a day's travel from our location, so taking that into account, we'll attack them tomorrow night." Answered Aleron before turning toward the other members of the Scripture.

"Quite it! We are setting camp here. Be sure to rest well; Tomorrow, we are attacking them." Aleron half-shouted in a stern tone.

"Got it, captain," Almost all replied and began setting up camp.

The only one who didn't reply was Beaumarchais. Because of the urgency, the Theocracy didn't have time for the proper welcome of Beaumarchais.

Typically, Zesshi would drill some sense into all the new recruits of the Scripture because most were arrogant. This time, however, Beaumarchais didn't receive the beat down and thus was acting arrogant.

Aleron knew about it and decided to ignore him for the time being.

~Scene Change~

In a room illuminated by the soft glow of torches, the core members of the Army of Death gathered around a rounded table. The room's interior evoked the rugged charm of a cave, with its walls and floor marked by natural imperfections and cracks.

Xyris, a former leader of Zurrernorn and a current core member of the Army of Death, leaned forward to address Khajiit. "Any word from the scouts?" he inquired.

Over the past weeks, they had successfully dismantled many of the Corpus of the Abyss's bases, leaving only their headquarters.

Khajiit's reply was tinged with disappointment. "No, the scouts met their end at the hands of the undead."

Wise Wolf, one of the Army of Death's recent additions, couldn't help but interject, his voice carrying a hint of sarcasm. "So, if I understand correctly, we're charging into the headquarters blind?"

The head of a skeletal wolf and the humanoid skeleton body belonged to a former demi-human, once gifted with rare magical abilities before becoming an undead.

Xyris, his frustration evident, retorted, "What choice do we have? That treacherous leader relocated from the old headquarters."

Just the day before, as they readied themselves for the assault on the Corpus of the Abyss headquarters, they received word that Granz, their leader, had moved to a new site.

Thankfully, Wise Wolf possessed the gift of divination magic. After some effort, he managed to pinpoint the new location. However, due to Granz's clever countermeasures, no further details could be obtained.

Clementine offered a voice of reason from the sidelines. "Anger won't lead us anywhere."

Khajiit, adopting a more nonchalant tone, concurred. "She's right. We know the new location, and with all of us working together, it should be manageable."

With a sense of unity and determination, the members of the Army of Death looked around the round table. Despite the odds and the uncertainty, they understood that their collective strength and shared purpose were their most formidable assets.

~Scene Change~

While most of the things started by Helios were coming to an end, he was sitting in hot springs, present on the 10th floor of Nazarick.

He had already received the information about the Army of Death's plan and the Scripture's attack.

'Tomorrow's sure going to get busy.'

I thought while closing my eyes and taking a dip into the hot water. But in the next week or so, my initial plan would be completed. Then, I would start the next part, which required my personal involvement.

'I should also address Ramses on his part in the plan.'

[Notice! A way to break Leveling PTP limitations has been found!]

A blue panel flashed before me. It had been a long time since I had the System work on a way to break the Leveling PTP limitations.

I knew a few ways to break past the limitations, but that required the sacrifice of the System. Which I wasn't ready for because it was important for the future of NW.

"Tell me."

[Information is being transferred to Master's mind.]

At this point, a lot of information entered my mind, but because of my level, I was able to cope with it. After a few minutes, the flow ended.

I closed my mind and began going through the information.

'This is genius.'

The process required me to fuse all my bloodlines to mutate my Bloodline CoE to a very great degree. This would allow me to break past the Leveling PTP and practice other PTPs.

I also originally wanted to do so, but it required a massive amount of Energy. And NW wouldn't be able to hold that much Energy.

My original plan was to use the bloodline essence from all my different variants, my variant's dead bodies, the stored Players' bodies, and a few other things to create a new body for myself.

Then, I would transfer my soul into the new body. But the major flaws were the amount of Energy and the sacrifice of the System.

This plan required me to go against the rules of existence. While creating the new body, I would have to use my own CoEs, which meant that I would have 2 sets of CoEs at the same time, which was against the rules.

To compensate for this, I would have to sacrifice the System, as in an equivalent exchange for the punishment of going against the rules.

Only beings above Rank 3 can go against these rules without facing a backlash.

So, the solution was to do the same thing mentioned above inside my body. This way, the Energy wouldn't run rampant and destroy the planet.

But I would have to go through hell to do this. One needs to understand that the amount of Energy required to fuse different bloodlines into one is absurd.

To Be Continued...

A/N: This author apologizes for the lack of chapters. Without making any excuses, the reason was that my friends and I made a plan for a trip, which ended up taking a lot more time than I had previously anticipated.

Due to this, I hadn't taken my laptop with me. So yeah, I am back, and the chapters should be consistent for the coming weeks.
