"Hm. Sorry puddin', I don't know the answer to that. You always kept a neutral expression the whole time you came here. But I always knew you had a mountain of emotions behind your expressionless face, it was a pleasant surprise to see you able to express yourself, even if it's just a little bit. About how this happened all of a sudden, if you don't know, there's no way for me to know," the NPC said.

Eve spent some more time talking to the NPC, asking for advice, asking questions, and catching up. Unfortunately, most of Eve's questions couldn't be answered by an NPC who's been trapped in a subspace since it was created.

Eve didn't respond to him. She closed her eyes and became thoughtful.

'I already knew he wouldn't know the answer, but still, it was worth the effort. Coming here was the right choice. My mind is much clearer. These questions weren't exactly for him, but for myself, and even without an answer, it's helped me formulate a general picture of what's probably happening to me, but I need more data.'

"Doubt: Father, in this new world, what do you think I should do?" Eve asked, curious as to what his opinion would be, seeing as he wasn't made for War like most of the NPCs she created.

He scratched his beard and took a moment before replying, "Honey, I honestly don't know. I mean, back in the day, you liked to make war with others, but you also liked to play with your friends. I can see that you don't want to go to war, at least not yet. And from what you've told me, you don't know if you're the only one who came to this new world, but you're also not sure if you're alone."

He continued, "Before defining what you want to do in this new world, wouldn't it be better to first figure out what you want to do about yourself and Alpha Prime? There are no more wars to fight, and no more friends to play with. What's left then?"

Eve's eyes widened slightly. Was he right. She was again thinking way ahead of her time.

What to do in this new world? Eve was very worried about that since she transmigrated, but why? Why should she be worried about that? The answer came immediately.

She didn't need to.

All that matters is herself, Alpha Prime, and it's residents.

It's important to gather information about the unknown, but diving into it without a reason like she did is dangerous.

She didn't need to, but she still did that. Why? Because of fear? Precaution? Caution?

None of that.

It was pure and genuine curiosity, a curiosity she didn't know in herself, a curiosity to discover the unknown, and venture into it.

Eve's eyes sparkled as if she finally understood the truth of the world. She finally understood why she was so inconsequential in Roble Kingdom and why she was so happy to go to the Adventurer's Guild..

Recalling when she was there, she remembered her feeling of happiness when she entered the Adventurer's Guild. As much as she went there to seek information, she didn't needed to go there herself, and she didn't even needed to take the risk as she did. In the end, her actions created an unpleasant consequence.

Because of her recklessness, she was discovered by a big shot in that country, and she is sure that the snake-like woman was not deceived in any way.

"Gratitude: Thank you, Dad. I finally understood a little more about myself," Eve said with a smile while keeping her eyes closed.

She now knows what she wants to do.

She always lived in her hospital room, and almost never went out. She ventured into YGGDRASIL a lot, but that wasn't real. When her father died, she, as the sole heiress of the multi-million corporation, if she stepped outside her room, there would be dozens of paparazzi and journalists wanting pictures and interviews, turning her hospital room into a prison, even more than it was before.

Even when she transmigrated, she still felt trapped within herself.

But she's not trapped, not anymore, she understood now that she is free. Free as she ever wanted. Free to explore, discover, and adventure.

And whoever intrudes on this newfound freedom of hers...

Eve opened her eyes, and they turned red for a second at the thought, and then went back to normal.

"Looks like you found an answer to one of your many questions, haha! Sorry for being such a useless dad," the NPC said, a little sad for not being of much help to her.

Eve stood up and shook her head. "Denial: This is not true. You are the best father I could have had," Eve said, and then she hugged him tightly to his surprise.

"Hohoho! Looks like someone is still daddy's little girl, Ms. I'm over twenty!" He laughed and hugged her back.

"Agreement: Even if I'm a million years old, I'll always be daddy's little girl."

"Hey! Don't steal my lines!"

The two held each other for a while, until Eve broke away from the hug.

"Hesitant: Sorry, Dad. I have to go. I have many things to do. But I swear I will come back regularly to visit you."

"You better! Don't keep me waiting so long here alone! Also, add more movies on the TV when you come again, yes? I'm tired of reviewing the same ones every time, I even memorized the script for all of them!" He said exaggeratedly, pretending to be angry.

"Concordance: Of course, Dad. Leave it to me."

With that last goodbye, Eve heads back to the elevator. Before the doors close, she waved to the NPC, and he waved back.

When the doors have closed, Eve looks up at the ceiling, thinking about her next move.

'It's time to try to discover the truth about how much the game can influence this world, and myself. I'll need to find a good spot in the middle of the ocean to test some items and skills.'
