12 World Tournament?

Hm… the more I think about it, the more I'm sure. Killing other players really does give drastically more exp then fighting monsters. This is really interesting and tempting…

Hm? Another? I close my status and click on the next notification. I have a slight excitement that it may be some kind of reward- *Cough* my thought is cut short at the contents of the notification.

If I was in a cultivation novel I'm sure I would be coughing up blood right now… regardless it's nothing to worry about, I have found a way to get rid of these debuffs pretty easily. During my alone time while I was under these same debuffs last time, I found a couple cash items in the Cash Item Shop that would get rid of these penalties. They were very expensive since it was basically a 'get out of jail free card' but since I have my advantages from the goddess I could care less about the price. Of course I bought stacks of them, how could I not. Anyway I have a plan to stop these penalties permanently, but that's for the future. I look down towards the destroyed guild that I'm flying above and start to descend down.

"I'll take this~ And this~ Can't forget about this~". Right now I'm walking through the Black Skulls Guild- well previous Guild, now it's nothing else but ruins. Fortunately when I attacked the guild building I only targeted the place where the players were. One may ask how I destroyed a guild with 3 tier 7 barriers without much effort. Coming towards this guild I allowed the three idiots to arrive first since it would make killing all of their members at one time much easier. I didn't feel like dealing with a 7 against 1 battle so I decided to just test one of my strongest spells I have been able to utilize since reaching level 70. First I casted a tier 8 spell called [ Satan's Eyes ], this spawned several eyes inside of the guild which allowed me to see inside without entering. This also gave a distraction for what I was planning to do next. From then on I had started casting a Super Tier spell called [ Sword of Damocles ]. This spell summons an orbital weapon designed to look like a giant sword that targets structures. Obviously this super tier spell like other super tier spells(not all) took a while to cast, I could have used the cash item [ Hourglass ] to speed up the process but I wanted to enjoy the reactions of the players. While I chatted with them, my spell was finishing its completion, once it was done it shot a very powerful beam from the tip of the sword shooting directly towards the guild members location.

Now I'm picking up my loot and their previous items. Even though their guild wasn't too strong, they still have decent items. Most of the items I have found are Relic and Legacy class, I have only found one legendary sword inside what I believe to be the blacksmith's workplace. My guess is that it belonged to the strongest of their guild, most likely being the guild leader. Now that I think about they did say something about their guild leader not being online or something similar… I can already imagine his reaction when he logs online, his whole guild labeled as failures. This will stop anyone from recruiting them or partying with them in the future.

As I appraised the sword's properties my attention was caught by a notification sound. I looked up and found another notification.

[ You have received Mail ]

I put the sword up into my inventory, I'd check out the properties of the sword later in my free time. For now I'll just check out what this 'Mail' is. I opened the mail icon which took me to another window showing what mail I had which I clicked on and accepted.

Hm? A title? Was that mentioned in the anime or novel?

Nice! This must be a reward for destroying a guild alone. Though it is a bit delayed, I mean I finished destroying the guild about 10 minutes ago. The devs probably didn't expect a guild to be destroyed so early in the game, let alone a player by himself. I giggle in a low voice as I look at all my benefits.

*beep beep*

I reflexively look towards the map since I already know what this sound means. It shows that someone is approaching my location. I quickly close all of the windows and start to prepare a spell , however I drop my guard once I finally see who it is that is approaching me.

A demonic looking angel walks towards me looking around at the destroyed guild ruins curiously. I just turn back around to allot my skill points that I just earned. "Well your late" I said in a mocking tone. Luci★Fer ignored my mocking and continued to look around in amazement. "What the…" he said with a voice filled with shock.

I finished allotting my skill points and turned around to look at him face to face. "Y-you did this by your self?!".

"That's right." I said with a casual tone. "Dude…who are you? I've never met any player who could beat a whole guild alone. I mean even the players higher on the leaderboard can't do anything like this…"

"I've told you already, my name is Doyle." I replied dryly. I mean if actually listened he could literally see that I'm the top player, although my level and private info is being hidden by my ring my name is still there as clear as day.

"Come on, there's gotta be more then just that! I need details- hey where are you going?"

I turned around and casted the flight spell, "I'm going to grind".

"W-wait for me!" He screamed.

~3 weeks later~

It's been about sometime now since I have destroyed the guild. There been a lot of rumors going around in the world chat about which player could have destroyed a whole guild. Different people are claiming to have done it, each one trying to get some kind of publicity. Even the devs have started to get involved, I'm sure they know it was me, however they posted a forum with a questionnaire on who could be this mysterious player. Probably just to boost the game's popularity or something. There's theories written stating names of who could be the person behind it, the list consisted of the 10 top players with me obviously apart of that. However people ruled me out of it stating that there isn't much evidence proving my strength. Instead most people think that the rank 2 player, Shadow, is more of a plausible answer and since he hasn't denied it, it's pretty much known around the servers that he is the culprit and probably stronger then the rank 1 player which is me.

In all honesty I really don't care about this. I mean I have no reason to look for publicity nor do I want to, it's literally the reason I have all my info hidden in the leaderboards. My only reason being here is to get stronger for the new world so none of it bothers me.

Right now I'm inside of a small house I built using the item [ Porta-Builder ]. I'm currently putting more materials into my two Dragon summon's data crystals. As I said before I want these two guys to be able to do massive destruction, so I won't rush the process. Though I have already completed the flavor text of each dragon. I designed them to look like two particular monsters from my previous world.(Images of them here)

Hm? I look at my private messages and see that my only added friend has messaged me. It's Luci★Fer. Over the days we have became what I believe would be friends. He isn't as dumb as I thought. Although it only took about 4 days he finally realized after piecing all the pieces together that I am the rank 1 player. We've been farming materials and hunting monsters together since then. I give him a few tips here and there about what he should be focusing on regarding his stats but thats about it, I don't intend on babysitting anyone.

Just as stated in the anime/novel he is a prankster. He tends to try and prank me saying things like "I need help with a strong monster" then not even halfway through he would just leave making it only me facing the monster. Unfortunately for him these pranks always backfire due to my strength and luck. Instead of me dying I would just kill the monster and receive a high class item. So in a way he just doing me a favor. Anyway I read the message he sent me.

{ Luci★Fer }: Doyle have you heard the news?!

{ Doyle }: Is this another one of your pranks?

{ Luci★Fer }: No no- they never work anyway. What I'm talking about is the event posted on YGGDRASIL's website.

I paused not typing anything. The thing is I can't really see those things due to me not being able to access any of those external websites outside of the game. I'm only restricted to the content inside of the game so I really have no clue what he is referring to. After a couple seconds I reply.

{ Doyle }: Nah I haven't really had time to look.

{ Luci★Fer }: What do you mean, your literally always online you should have all the time in the world- I mean, do you even have a life at all?

{ Doyle }: Just shut up and tell me. I'm sure that what you were gonna do anyway.

{ Luci★Fer }: LOL! Yeah, the website states that there's gonna be a event in each of the worlds soon. It's called The World's Tournament.

I paused again. The World Tournament is starting soon? This is great… my plan is coming all together and the events of the novel are coming at a steady pace. This is good I'm relatively ready for the Tournament already. My thoughts were cut short when I got another message from Luci★Fer.

{ Luci★Fer }: Yo! You still there?! Don't tell me your ignoring me again!

{ Doyle }: No. Don't worry I'm listening.

{ Luci★Fer }: So are you going to participate? I mean you are the rank 1 player.

{ Doyle }: Of course, how could I not. But when does the event starts?

{ Luci★Fer }: Hm? Oh let me check.

This idiot… how does he not remember the release date? After a couple seconds Luci★Fer replied.

{ Luci★Fer }: It starts in 10 days.
