Rare Materials

(A/N: Hey guys. Just to clear up anything, right now the story is just dialoguing the mc's experiences, power-ups etc. It will be this way, at least until he comes in contact with Ainz Ooal Gown(Guild). I don't know if many people like this or maybe get bored of this sorta thing but bear with it.)

[ Narrator POV ]

Deep inside of a hidden mine cave, loud roars could be heard. Each time the roar occurred the small pebbles inside of the cave would shake due to the loud sound waves that traveled. If one went far enough into the cave they would see two beings fighting. These beings were having a chaotic battle that cracked and broke some of the walls within the cave.

Doyle at the moment was fighting against the Celestial Golem. Before he entered the giant spacious room to start the battle he made sure to use [ Prosperity and Luck ]. It was pretty obvious that the monster-golem inside of this room was some sort of boss, so to maximize his loot's quality he quickly used the Cash Shop Item. Going into this fight he was sure that it would be difficult due to the level of the golem. Contrary to that, the golem wasn't very hard at all. Its movements were very predictable, it would use the same move-sets over and over again. This reminded Doyle of the games CPU controls from his past life. The monster would use Artificial intelligence to make its next attack, but it would only have a limited amount of attacks for it to use causing a repetitive cycle of attacks.

As Doyle blasted another spell at the golem the metals and minerals that was implanted within its body would fall on the ground due to the impact of each spell. Doyle's magic attack was dangerously high due to his build so each spell was stronger then they would normally be. The golem moved quickly yet slow at the same time, he swung his huge arm down crushing the ground that Doyle once stood.

"This thing is strong, good thing it's slow and predictable." Said Doyle. He wasn't having much of a hard time, he's only have to keep up what he was currently doing. Since the Golem would occasionally imbue magic spells into his physical attacks Doyle would have to dodge them. If it were a normal player fighting this monster they would have trouble using Doyle's method since it was very hard to know when the golem's attacks were imbued with magic.

Fortunately Doyle had the class 'Sage'. Sage was beneficial for multiple reasons. Just as stated before it provided a new limit for spells that he could use, boosting the new limit to 600. Additionally, it also gave him new skills called 'lore skills' which were like a passive appraisal skill. Due to the lore and background of the class 'Sage' and its supposed deep knowledge of magic, this was the effect.(It also allowed him to use new spells.)

With this skill, he could see when magic was being cast- even before it was fully manifested. The only reason this fight had dragged out for so long was because of the high hp the golem had. After some time of using the hit and run tactic, the golem finally collapsed.

[ Level: 75 → Level: 77 ]

Doyle allotted his status points just as quick as he got them, he then watched the dying animation of the golem as it slowly fell. As it's huge body made contact with the floor, the ground shook like a mini earthquake. The body of the golem began to disassemble itself, the glowing rune-like markings patterned onto its body dimmed slowly until it was completely darkened. What was left were massive chunks of high-class Ores and a massive data crystal. Doyle didn't hesitate and immediately started looting. Putting the data crystal into his inventory Doyle noted in his mind that it was definitely of legendary or higher class. He smiled proud and cheerful. He knew just how rare it was to get such a high-quality data crystal. "This was definitely due to the Cash Shop Item hehe!" he cackled.

As he stuffed all the minerals into the inventory his attention was caught by the shining neon-like colored metals in the center of the pile of loot. He reached and grabbed the neon metal.

[ Celestial Uranium ]

~A metal only found in the Seven Hidden Mine's of YGGDRASIL. It's quality and durability is a class higher then Adamantite. It is a critical element for the [ Caloric Stone ].~

As he read the name of this metal he also noticed that this same unique shiny color was coming from the walls of the cave as well.

"Looks like I hit the jackpot. I'm taking all of this!"He cheerfully said.

He stared fixedly at the walls of this spacious place he was in. The cave walls were different from the walls outside of this room. Being filled with [ Celestial Uranium ] instead of Adamantite minerals.

[ Doyle's POV ]

After I emptied out the whole cave mine I exited. I didn't waste any time and started to cast a spell to put up an illusion that blocked anyone from discovering this mine. Now if someone stumbled onto this mine they would see a big ice glacier that blended nicely with its environment. I will definitely be back after a while. By then more Adamantite and celestial uranium should have been and formed.

Someone less informed would be confused as to why celestial uranium is such an important thing. It's stated in the novel just how rare celestial uranium is, in fact there is no other place to find it other than the seven mines. But what makes this metal so valuable is that It will turn into [ Caloric Stone ] if enough of the ore is gathered and stockpiled.

Caloric is one of world class items in YGGDRASIL. It has the ability to create a golem's core. The result makes a powerful entity that can be looked at by other players as almost a cheating mechanic. In addition to that, the World Item is said to enhance the likes of weapons or armors too. Similar to [ Ouroboros ] and [ Five Elements Overcoming ], it is also one of the items that allows the holder of this World Item to make requests to the game developers.

Hehehe! I cant hold myself back from laughing, I cant wait till this [ celestial uranium ] mold into the [ Caloric Stone ]. For now let's just make a little place to hide the ores until they change.

I look into my inventory and take out an item called [ Porta-Builder ]. It gives the holder the right to build any kind of base. This can range from huge castles to small huts, as long as you have enough [ Porta-Builder ]'s you can build whatever you like.

Mikey for me I have a bunch of it, However for now I'm gonna stick to something small since I have to leave here quickly. I spent about 30 minutes building a small normal hut-house then cloaked it with an illusion.

Phew this is tiring. It kinda reminds me of the game from my past life where the players builded those huge houses with blocks. Anyway I should quickly head to the next mine to cast another illusion spell to hide it from others.

*****

In order to find the next mine I had to travel to Múspellsheim, another world of YGGDRASIL. However I didn't just have the plan to find the next hidden mine, there's something else I want to do here.

As I finished casting the illusion spell I looked around. The environment was the total opposite of Niflheim, here the temperature was much hotter. The ground was darkened from the hot lava burning it's color and In certain spot you would see small fires. I blended the Cave mine with the fiery surroundings.

I had already emptied out the mine. The ores inside of this mine was different from the hidden mine in Niflheim. There was also another golem at the deepest part of the mine which was called [ Aether Golem ]. This golem was different from the [ Celestial Golem ] in appearance and strength.

Due to the magical abilities the [ Aether Golem ] held, it was a much harder fight. Fortunately in the end I still beat it. Just like the [ Celestial Golem ] it held a higher-quality material called [ Aether ] and another high-quality data crystal which I obviously took.

As I scrolled through my inventory my attention was caught by some screams I heard.

"There! It's another one of those Heteromorphic fucks!"

"Hahaha! What kind of item do you think this one will drop?"

"Who cares? I just want to hear the screams as we spawn kill em!"

I have a hard issue with implementing my ideas on paper...it's annoying. Anyway Enjoy.
