1 Chapter 1.

Y/N POV.

"PH/N! Wait up for me, this isn't some sort of job where you can play about with the opposition, also known as the villains!" Hawks called after me, while I was walking away from the villain that we'd just caught.

"Hawks, we're finished with this case, can I go now?" I swivelled around to face him, with a dull expression I gazed up at his yellow eyes with my E/C ones. My short height wasn't exactly the most threatening, though I could put up quite the act.

Oh, by the way, I'm a pro hero at place No. 3. After Best Jeanist had gone missing, the place fell into my hands and I had to fill his shoes, which was difficult. I'm always called upon by the other pro heroes, and I barely get any free time anymore. You could say I'm a little busy body.

"Tch, you know, just because you're the third best doesn't mean you can act all arrogant. I could still kick your ass." He retorted while folding his arms and watching me with a menacing glare.

"I'm only telling you that I want some free time to myself before I'm summoned again like a dog." I hissed, as I turned back, and walked away. He seemed to get the message, as he didn't pester me any longer. Such a nuisance.

I found myself heading straight for the Yakuza base, of course, I already had a keycard to get in. I unlocked the steel door and wealked straight towards Chisaki's office area. As I passed by some of the resident villains, they continued to glare at me, clearly still unapproving of mine and Overhaul's relationship. I just ignored their steely eyes and finally made my way through the maze of concrete corridors, only to knock on the door and find Chronostasis inside.

"Master Overhaul is out on a mission, he said if you arrived, you were to wait here and sit there." He gestured to the pair of couches behind him. His tone was expressionless as he looked at me, his white lab coat as pristine as ever and an unrevealing bird mask topped it all off. I made a swift nod and went past him into the room. Chronostasis closed the door behind me with a quiet tap, and I was left staring at the two opposite couches and the coffee table inbetween.

I sat on Chisaki's normal side and found myself inhaling his scent from it. It only made me miss him more.

After a few moments, I couldn't bear it any longer. I had to go and find hi-

A few beeps errupted from my watch and I looked down at it, only to find yet another distress call. Out of pure exasperation, I threw myself out of the seat and jogged out of the room and towards the base exit.

Damn it, this isn't perfect timing whatsoever.
