1 Chapter 1_ Really_ An NPC_
Opening my eyes, I was puzzled by what I saw. The surroundings were a bit different from what I knew. However, as I had just woken up and my judgment was still clouded due to being drowsy, it was difficult for me to think clearly.

I closed my eyes for a while to allow my headache to fade. While my eyes were closed, I felt strange because it seemed as if my surroundings were moving and slightly bumpy.
Regaining my mind's clarity after a few seconds had passed, I swiftly opened my eyes and scanned the surroundings. To my surprise, I was at a loss for words and remained silent for a moment.
'Am I being kidnapped?'
As I looked around, realizing that my surroundings were not my own room, which I was familiar with, I noticed that the place was cramped yet a bit luxurious. It was decorated better than my simple room. Upon closer inspection, I realized that this thing around me was moving, and the word 'carriage' came to mind.

Suddenly, an influx of knowledge flowed into my mind. As it caught me off guard, I felt dizzy for a moment and unconsciously closed my eyes. Based on the information provided, I am the third prince of the Eternal Kingdom and am currently taking a visit to the royal palace in the Lubana Kingdom.
I am a prince, but my situation was a bit complicated. My identity and existence were not publicly revealed by the kingdom for a special reason I supposedly did not know about; this intrigued me and made me feel like it was cool and mysterious. This awakened my hidden chuuni persona.
Moreover, I was on my way home as my visit had been completed just hours earlier and I was apparently about to exit the palace's gates and return back to the Eternal Kingdom.

I absentmindedly muttered to myself; those words were familiar.

Inwardly, I screamed in my mind. Then, I dazedly looked around, my mind processing numerous thoughts as something unexplainable had occurred.
'This is a dream, right?'
The thought that I was having a realistic dream where I had a clear consciousness, unlike the hazy one of being inside the novel, came to mind. Without my mind telling me to, I pinched my cheek and the pain woke me up.
'This is real?'
Feeling that there was a pain when it should not, I felt my heart was beating faster than it should be.
"Isn't this amazing?"
I couldn't help but chuckle in amusement. Transmigrating into the novel, was something great and not something to dislike or regret. Letting my curiosity get the better of me, I took a peek at the window of the royal carriage, being greeted by the vast blue sky far above me.
With that, I continued to look around my surroundings as the carriage I was on continued to move. Looking around, I tried to recall the details about the novel. Surprisingly, nothing in my memory had been erased. In fact, if I tried hard enough, I felt like I could recall every bit of information if I wanted to.
"But...an NPC?"
I questioned as I was totally confused about this. The novel was about the virtual world of Satisfy where swords and magic reigns. A world where legends were publicly acknowledged as heroes.
"In any case, it's quite surreal to find out I transmigrated in the game itself." I said, lying down on the soft seat of the carriage while gazing at the sky in the window.
'Although it seems that I've turned into an NPC, that's not much of a problem. After all, that will just allow me to do far more than a player can.'
It was a setting in the novel where, depending on the grade of the NPC, they could perform better than any player. As I was muttering to myself, I couldn't help but make a wish from the bottom of my heart that I could have something that would greatly help me in my future journey.

I curiously looked at the transparent panel that was in front of my eyes. Seeing it with my own eyes, I was so excited.

'I'm currently in the royal palace of Lubana Kingdom so I wonder if that item is here.The novel didn't really specify where that item came from but I hope it is there.'
Looking towards the palace, I pondered over the item that was connected to someone who had made the protagonist stronger than he should be. Excited by the mere possibility and the thought of possessing this powerful object, Lexus turned to the butler and said.
"Well, you're right; I want to take a walk before we leave."
Even though he had received information earlier, he didn't recognize the butler as someone close to him so he thought he was just an ordinary NPC or an ordinary butler serving the royal family. Although he felt a bit anxious talking to him because he still hadn't adjusted to his current circumstances, Lexus tried his best not to show it on his face.
"I understand, your highness."
Without asking any further, the butler opened the door of the carriage and let Lexus pass through. As the butler of a prince, he had no choice but to follow any of his intentions as that was his job. However before he could follow him, Lexus' voice was heard by the butler.
"This will be the last time; therefore, I would like to take this opportunity to tour the palace all by myself."
Hearing him, the butler flinched and quivered.
"But...Your highness!"
"You don't have to worry about me. As long as I don't go outside the palace, I will be safe, right?"
Even though he had transmigrated as a prince, he still wasn't used to acting like one, so he tried to bluff his way out. He also considered that the butler might suspect him of acting differently from how the prince normally acted.
Lexus also felt a bit of guilt for pushing the butler away for a moment who was simply doing his job but to accomplish what he had in mind, he needed to be alone to avoid any potential troubles.
"I understand."
Upon hearing the order from the person he was supposed to serve and obey, the butler reluctantly agreed and didn't disobey him. Seeing that the butler agreed, Lexus sighed in relief and waved his hand to the butler as he slowly made his way back to the Royal Palace.
As he walked, Lexus noticed many guards were patrolling around the palace. Not wanting to attract any unnecessary attention, Lexus moved slowly and tried to lower the sound of his footsteps. However, one of the guards noticed him, indicating that they had keen senses, befitting a royal guard or a royal knight.
However, recognizing who he was, a guest of the royal family of Lubana Kingdom, none of them stopped him. Without anyone obstructing his path, Lexus roamed around, not wanting to make things harder for the people they served, as apparently, Lexus was a guest from a royalty of another kingdom.
He was amazed; this was his first time infiltrating a castle. The decorations were luxurious, fitting the fantasy theme of the medieval theme of Satify. Based on the information he had gathered from the previous visits of his NPC self, Lexus passed through the obstacles and arrived at the back of the palace.
He occasionally passed through a couple of maids, butlers, knights, and even the royal princess, but he didn't care about them as he continued to search for his purpose in this new world.
He exited the palace and arrived at the back of the royal palace. Because of the massive size of the palace, and his low agility, it took him almost an hour to arrive at his destination.
He surveyed the surroundings and confirmed that no one was nearby. The place was deathly silent; not even the knights who were supposedly patrolling believed robbers would gain anything from this place. One could see numerous luxurious tombstones around. This place was the Lubana Kingdom's Royal Graveyard.
This graveyard was reserved only for the kings of Lubana to be buried after their deaths. Lexus examined each tombstone and looked for a specific name. While searching through the tombstones, he grumbled.
"This feels like I'm a grave digger or something. Well not like it's not going to happen."
After searching diligently, he found it.
"Found it!"
He was happy as he opened the tomb and found no body in it. Lexus wasn't surprised about it as he knows what happened if the reason is the same as the novel. In the first place the corpse was not his purpose, it was the item that was hidden inside the tomb. An old sheath. It was an ego item with part of the ego of the Undefeated King.
Ego item is an item that awakened an ego or soul. Seeing it, Lexus was happy as he can feel his heart beating rapidly but soon calmed down. As soon as he grabbed it, a voice from the ego was heard from it.
