Ray pov

The air was calm and furious everyone in the base felt the uneasiness in the air, Ray laid down on his bed covering his face with his pillow his tears stained it making a wet spot on it, Flashes of his aunt and his grandfather kept popping in his head the sound of ringing a bell being hit over and over ray covered his ears but kept hearing it he could see the unhinged man damaged and scarred in his visions, His aunt chaining him down.

Keeping him locked in a struggle of pain and suffering suddenly the vision is blinded by the light of his aunt song, Someone takes the pillow off his face ray looks to see who did and sees jack he looks away quickly but jack pulled him to his chest he tried to move away but his grip got tighter, He sighs "you know you shouldn't beat yourself over there sacrifice you know they did that to help us escape".

"I know" he whispers, Jack starts to pet him ray closes his eyes, He feels an electric charge run through him he opens his eyes instantly and saw a different world a world of white with red flowers littering all over the ground, Red string and vines were keeping the unhinged man at bay its eye and chest was burned badly and ripped open like a scar that can never be healed, You could see an endless void in its open scar

it screamed at his direction when it saw him trying to get to him to help, It looked like it was begging for help yet he knew it was fake he didn't feel any pity for it, The vines and string glowed white burning brightly burning him once more he let a scream of pain, He could see his aunt right next to him watching him suffer he tried to attack her but the attack never came his hand was scorched the more he tried to attack her huge cracks formed on it.

Suddenly the world turned back to normal jack was shaking him his breathing was decreasing back to a normal pace jack patted his back as it was getting even his eyes were flickering from white to red he shook his head and they turned back to normal, Jack looked at him worried "sorry about that just having visions "jack nodded "I understand but you do need to talk to someone about them eventuality you can't keep that all to yourself" I know".

"I have a question tho" What happened to the memory chips they gave us" Miranda has them jack responded, "All she told me that there not memory chips there keys to certain areas around the city" so they are really gone ray whispered looking down" yeah it seems so," Jack said with a hint of sadness in his voice it quickly disappeared before ray could know, I have good news tho "I was able to find some parts for each of them".

"Really how much," Ray said with hope "not much a few limbs and their broken cores according to Miranda there still some of there data on their parts that have been untouched by the explosion they can be remade but not to what they use to be, There's only tiny bit of data so there will be gaps in near memory but their systems and tech will work the same, "Oh at least they will have some memory of us "yeah" jack responded.

Ron suddenly flew into the room excited "humans! they are done you may go to Miranda now,''''Your happy today is it because you see ronny again?" I don't know what you talking about why would I care about such trash "I know you don't mean that", Ron quickly flies out the room before jack could say another thing jack laughs and looks over to ray "shall we" go he nodded they both got up and went to Miranda.

"Hey, Jack is there another location we have to go to soon" yeah kinda I believe that area is where the second heart is the last time I checked it's also underground somewhere a lot of infected are there as well so it's dangerous plus I doubt it just be me and you going there when we can we might even find your brother there who knows, "Speaking of my siblings where my sister right now he said in a whisper".

"Oh she went out back to smithery well the broken one now to find more parts of our robotic companions she really is a metal detector it's really useful, Plus you can leave the barrier anytime you want by yourself she set up some defenses so even if you run into an infected they will be killed by plant life in our area".

Ray nodded "I hope she comes back safely", As they became silent they reached Miranda's workshop, The door opened by itself when they reached it they looked at each other then shrugged, They walked into her workshop the sound of metal being hit and over could be heard throughout the room they looked around and saw old weapons and robots from the smithery even the armor from the golem body and its railgun.

"Ray has worried on his face "I think Ilana bringing all this tech is a little too much Miranda can make some dangerous things and can get a little crazy" how so," Jack asked "it can get to the point when she starts to torture infested with her work or as she calls it her children" oh that's bad" yeah I can tell you stories later we should be looking for her now" jack nodded and They split up and explored the workshop looking for Miranda.

Suddenly the floor opens up under ray and jack they start to fall down sliding on the metal it felt slippery they went faster once they reached the halfway point there speed increased drastically the end was close once they reached it they were sent into water ray and jack hit the bottom of it, they both started to swim upwards and climbed out the water they looked around saw Miranda next to some generator and computers.

Gears were on the wall turning while steam was blowing out of the back of the generator they could see 2 big robots that took up the left side of the room one was dragon-like in looks\and the other was like a griffon Miranda turned when she heard someone close and looked at them and waved "you finally made it!" she said excitedly "Let me show you what I've done. She quickly runs over to them and grabs their arms and drags them away" to show them her new improved creations.
