Jack pov

"Mama will dad ever come back" I don't know sweetheart" his work is very dangerous and where he going he might not return" why" little jack questioned rubs the sweat off her forehead she sighed then went one knee and put her hands on her son's shoulders

"I'm gonna need you to be a big boy about this" ok mommy" little jack nodded "he probably won't be returning he going into a place that is dangerous you change when leaving that place if those come to that he probably won't be the same father you look up to so much if those returns keep this with you ok and stay your lock the door".

She then puts a necklace onto his hands a jewel that glowed brightly like the stars in the sky the edges in a ring surrounding jewel little jack looked at it and hugged his mother it's very pretty mommy I always have it with me to this she smiled at her son I'm glad you're happy she hugged him close.

The sound of someones knocking is heard his mother had a look of fear but it vanished at her "son go to your room and lock it don't open the door no matter what you hear" little jack nodded she then put the necklace around the neck then he ran off to his and locked it once he did he picked up a book and went to bed.

The warmth he felt the kindness shown he can remember it all even feel it just like a dream he still feels that day when she went off and protected from him and the next day when there was nothing but ashes flame and the feeling of loneliness around him the ceiling did fell that day but it never came with that he didn't know what was real or fake but he knew one thing.

That his mother was watching him and guiding him even if she wasn't there physically everything changed around the scenery. The dark little jack looked at his door as everything went silent. His door pooled off its hinges and hit the floor. His father walked forward and looked at him.

He looked soulless he moved like he was a puppeteered little jack could feel danger from him the father he once knew the shadows stretched around destroyed the walls it peeled off and scratch the floor he hugged his teddy close in fear.

"Papa little jack whispered in fear the man who was once his father neck snapped to the side its flesh stretched and slipped off revealing a monster its tail swung and back and forth it had mouths all over its body its eyes were silver its skin black like darkness "papa ain't here little one just me and you".

It swayed back and forth waking to him it stretched out its hand to him and tried to touch him but its arm was melted it cocked its head to the side "what are you and how did you do that to my hand little jack stayed quiet "Tell me!" it screamed out from all its mouths.

The room shook from its voice little jack closed his eyes the monster tried to touch him again but its limb was burned to ash it let angry screech and regrew its limbs and jumped at the boy in anger it sent into the wall when it touched him it jumped back its sound got worse and louder.

Little Ray covered his ears but he could still hear it "ill kill you just like your mother!" Once he heard this all the fear vanished it replaced with anger he opened his eyes looked at the creature his necklace glowed sparks went off his skin he started to float he pointed at the creature then closed it

Its body being crushed it let out a wail of pain kept being down molecular level it pleaded and over but it was all for not as it let out a final plea it crushed into dust little stopped floating then started to cry hugging to his chest "mama "he repeating under his breath.

Suddenly someone enters the room he looked up with a tear-stained face and saw a man in army gear what happened here he looked around the room then looked at the child he ran over to him and checked if he was hurt kid "what happened here kid where are your parents" "he asked

"Mama and Papa" are gone. He said in a broken voice the man held pity in his eyes. He picked up the kid little jack held onto his arm then he walked out of the room down the stairs and out of the house little jack looked around and saw corpses of his friend's neighbors and other families.

His blood went cold when saw their corpses he held no emotion their bodies

Look like they were twisted forcefully by an unseen force into strange shapes some were made of different materials some metal sand even stone little jack knew some of these shapes in his dreams.

Was It I that did that he wonders curiously the man looked at him confused "you ok kid" but he did respond to him he felt dizzy everything became blurry then there was nothing but black jack could hear someone calling out to him something shaking him he opened his eyes in fright and saw ray above him once he saw him he calmed down.

He rubbed his eyes tiredly "what is it" he said sleepily the others" wanted to get to know to you " "ah right" he whispered he then sat up "I need a shower" he muttered under his breath as ray hears this he says "their shower on the second floor" you kidding me ray shook "nope im not".

" Jack sighed can you tell them that ill meet them after im done "I will" jack then got up and kissed Ray on the cheek and walked out and went to the second floor maybe this won't be bad he thought I will kill that monster eventually he thought.
