Rare Equipment!

I headed straight to the Adventurer's Guild, the guild was nicely illuminated with all the lanterns and the candles on the chandelier adding a very cozy vibe to it.

There were a couple of people sitting on the benches enjoying their meal. Apparently, the Adventurers Guild also provided food and beverages for adventurers at a discounted price.

When I walked into the building everyone got silent, one second ago the place was bustling with noises of people chatting and laughing now it was so silent that you could hear a pin drop.

People were trying to avoid my gaze, whenever I turned my head they would look down.

I ignored the people and went straight to the receptionist's desk.

Ratha smiled at me from behind the desk, "It seems you have already gone through your first evolution. That too into a higher race!"

After saying this her expression suddenly changed and became a little serious, "I know only little about Demi Trolls since they are rare, but it's considered evil by the Imperial Legion, so I would suggest you be careful".

This was the first time I was hearing this, the system didn't say anything regarding this.

I asked Ratha what she was talking about when she said evil and what was the Imperial Legion.

Ratha started telling me about the Demi Trolls. Apparently, Trolls are not very strong creatures at most a Troll could get to Rank B, but when they impregnate a human the offspring for some reason has the possibility of getting to Rank S. There are many more unnatural things like this happening throughout the universe, no one has been able to find a solid answer to why such things happen. Humans have apparently tried to use this to make such babies to add among their ranks.

But it never leads to a good result. Out of 100 million women sacrificed, only 1 survived to give birth to something like a Demi Troll.

That is why the Imperial Legion label these babies as abominations and gets rid of anything related to them. They have previously even destroyed entire planets just to get rid of one person.

"Isn't that too extreme", I asked Ratha.

Ratha answered with a serious tone, "I once heard of a half-breed between an Elf and a Cosmic Fairy, it was called a Fenraya. There were only a few in the known universe, they were powerful enough to kill a level 80 creature only a few moments upon birth. But they were all wiped out by the Imperial Legion. You don't have to worry too much about it they will not start another Imperial Crusade over a Demi Troll. But that's for the future, this universe is very far away from their headquarters."

After listening to what Ratha said I made up my mind to get stronger fast, I had to keep leveling up. I was actually planning on staying in the village for a few days but now it seems I have to cut my break short.

"By the way, what brings you here?", Ratha asked quickly, putting a smile on her face.

"Yaa, I got monsters for sale", I replied.

She pointed her finger at the location in front of the desk, "The same as last time, put them there."

"I don't think it will fit here", I said, looking towards the place where she pointed.

Ratha had a surprised look on her face which turned into an embarrassing look after a second, "My bad I should have expected this since you went through evolution already. Here, I sent you a trade request, this will make things simpler".

The moment Ratha said this I saw a blue window with "Trade With Ratha", written on top of it, and at the right bottom corner was a gold icon with a 0 written next to it. I also had the inventory opened next to me. It seemed simple enough, I just had to drag the items I wanted to trade and Ratha would offer a price for that.

I added all the monsters that I killed, which had a bunch of goblins, hobgoblins, and both the Purpleflame Serpent and The Ogre.

Ratha had a shocked expression on her face after taking a look at the trade window, "Level 10….I did not think you killed level 10 creatures, You see there is a big difference between level 9 and 10. That's why you probably got so many experience points. Level 10 creatures are 10 times stronger than level 9 which puts them at Rank E. These monster materials are going to be very expensive at the early stages since almost no one would be able to easily hunt down a level 10 creature. For now, I can give you 200 gold for each of the level 10 monsters, but the prices will decrease later."

For all the monsters and the useless weapons that I got from the goblins combined, Ratha offered me, 1110 gold.

*+1110 Gold*

Next, I took out the two pieces of new equipment that I got from the Ogre, "Can you Identify this for me and tell me what these are exactly?"

The moment I took out the equipment I could see a sparkle in Ratha's eyes, "A Rare….Oh let me identify them for you".

Ratha picked them up each at a time, "First let's talk about the Goblin King's Crown, it might just be a piece of ceremonial equipment and useless for us but for goblins it gives them a chance to rule. So it will fetch a great price. I can give you 150 gold for it right now. But as for the robe let me share the information to you."

A window with the information about the robe popped up in front of me.

*Robe Of Betuga (Rare)*

*Belonged To Once Infamous Commander Of Blood Hound Goblin Legion*

*Durability: 90/100*

*+30% Cold Resistance*

*+10 WILL*

*Mount Control Lv 5*

After seeing that the robe was okay to wear without any weird stuff on it, I sold the Goblin Kings Crown and wore the robe.

*+150 Gold*

The robe was made of animal fur, it was split on the front with a hood on the top. It was long enough to reach my calves. The moment I put on the robe, the chill that was in the air instantly disappeared. Although it was not winter yet but at night it was still a little chilly and on top of that I was not wearing anything on my upper body.

The robe looked dirty, but it turned out to be very comfortable. Plus, it had a skill called Mount Control, which basically made controlling mounts easier. But the moment I saw the words mount, I got crazy excited. I still remember collecting all the mounts in World of Warcraft, the only reason I played that game was because of the mounts.

Now if I could tame monsters and ride them, that would be awesome. I already started dreaming about riding a Griffon one day, or maybe a Big Wolf. No, no a Dragon would be better. I couldn't stop myself from smiling.

With everything settled at the Adventures guild, I was about to leave, but Ratha stopped me, "Since you have already killed a Rank E monster you can upgrade your card to Rank E now. Also there are quests available on the quest board you can check if you like something.", she said while pointing at a large board with a bunch of posters pasted on it."

I gave my card to Ratha. She held it and spoke a few words, it was as if she was chanting something. The card started glowing for a second. When she handed the card to me, it was a still lighter bronze in color with a little hint of iron on it, and instead of the F, there was an E written on the side.

I went to look at the quest board, it was filled with a bunch of quest posters. Most of them were of Rank F, I only saw 4 which were at Rank E. The first one was about hunting a Level 14 Dire Bear, the second one was about hunting down a Tree Spirit, and the third one was the same about hunting an Orc. The fourth one was different, It was about collecting a herb called Fire Tail Grass. The locations of the monsters and the herbs were also written on the bottom of the posters.

The closest to me was the Tree Spirit, although I was really looking forward to seeing a Dire Bear but to level up faster I decided to pick the one closest to me. I tore out the poster from the board and took it to Ratha, where she registered me for the quest.
