20 Chapter 20 : Enemy

"I should be careful and don't underestimate the enemy" Leo said calmly.

His new sword, upgraded after gladiolus had been really worn out and has many strains on it. Now, he was holding a well forged sword, sweats and blood poured in making this beauteous sword. Leo will led this sword down the killer of his family.

The monsters took a few steps backward to enlarge the circle made by surrounding Leo and chimera.

Once again, the chimera growled loudly trying to intimidate Leo but Leo stood still- looking calm.

The first one to attack was the chimera, using its speed, it rushed towards Leo and he made a fighting stance. Leo focus his senses, trying to predict its attack.

The chimera raised its paw and scrabbled Leo using its ridgy claws, but Leo defended himself by using the sword and blocking it.

The chimera isn't finished attacking, it wagged its snake tail and whipped it directly to Leo. The snake opened its mouth, looking for its mark and have its venomous fangs to land down to Leo's flesh.

Leo use his strength to pushed its paw and he step-back, avoiding its deadly attack. But he was given no time, as soon as he dodged, the chimera followed him and it jogged him using its lion head and threw him in the air.

He grunts and almost let go of his sword. He saw its tail become long as it follows him in the air. Its widen mouth rapidly swimming in the air and Leo diving down in it.

*Slash, Slash, Slash*

*Huarp* ( Lol, I personally tried to make a bite effect, and that's how I think it sounded.)

Leo landed on his feet, not so far from the chimera. The chimera didn't felt it at first, but when its snake tail fell off the ground, it exclaimed- angrily.

[Warning : The player has been bit by a venomous monster] Leo felt the venom flowing and aching inside his right arm. He was given an excruciating pain on his arm that he had to let go of the sword.

The chimera got back on its feet, it growls again as if it became a hobby of the chimera.

It didn't wasted time and attacked again, it opened it's wide mouth while it ran towards Leo- on his knees, noticed the running chimera. The venom hasn't been detoxified, he couldn't move his body as if he's been paralyzed by the venom.

'Is this the end of my line? Is this how my life is gonna end..?'

He was starting to shed tears, the bind that was restraining him not from just moving his body, but from doing what he's capable of was starting to break. He was shackled by his own safe zone, and won't try to break out of his shell, but not this time, not anymore and he'll break out of it himself.

Leo smiled as tears poured down his face, he finally know that it's been himself- his enemy, the whole time. He wasn't weak, he's just ungifted. He wasn't stupid, he just don't want to use his head. And he said to himself that, he wasn't the weakest just because he can't level up, even the prey can hunt its predator!

"As if I'm gonna go down here because I will become the lion that will hunt down each and every prey!"

The chimera's large mouth found its mark and as soon as it reached Leo's direction, it didn't hesitate to attack.

"Move!"

Leo, before the chimera's pointy teeth could reach him, he had rolled over to the side and was successful in moving his body. But not in dodging the attack, his left side of his body were bitten. Blood began to poured out of the wound, then he felt another excruciating pain, again. He tried to used his hand to cover the wound and stopped the blood from spilling but the wound was too deep and his health points did rapidly decreased.

[Detoxifying Completed!]

The pain started to fade away and he can move his body again.

Leo, too focused on escaping that life and death situation, forgot to pick up his sword and it was hard to move because of his wound, but he should endure the pain and fight for his life.

The chimera continued to move, Leo also moved as the blood spilled from his side.

The chimera, with it's paw, used it and attack law Leo. With his wound, it became hard moving around but totally dodged the attack.

The sword is just two meters away from Leo, the monsters who were watching suddenly began to cheer on them.

Because of that, chimera's confidence increases as the crowd's cheering grew louder.

Leo had loss quiet a lot of blood, enough to make him dizzy and lose his footing, but he's trying to fight not just the chimera, but also the dizziness.

Leo quickly rushed towards the sword, the chimera also went to where the sword is.

Leo was slower than the chimera, it is almost a small gap that the chimera's lion head could reach Leo's vulnerable body. The chimera widened it's mouth and bit Leo's body, but Leo barely dodged to the side and successful on getting back his sword.

'Im losing so much blood, I need to end this faster!'

Leo clenched his fist as he tightly hold his sword.
