1 A Daunting Relationship

February 14, 2024.

" I know mum…but Itzel said she could handle it," Paige said to the woman on the other side of the phone as she threw her bag on the bed, slamming backward into it as she stared at the ceiling. Impulsively, a sigh escaped her lips at something that her mother said. "Okay, okay, just leave it up to me."

" I'll be waiting on it," a satisfied voice sounded from the other end and then the line went dead.

Paige drew the phone from her ear as she lifted it mid-air, checking for the last time any notification from her sister before lazily dropping it, just a little above her head. At that moment, a muscular figure crept beside her with just a white towel wrapped around his waist.

Her gaze deftly went to him as her lips curved into a smile– instantly pressing her lips on his. As if on cue, his lips parted the moment her tongue pressed his lower lip as they softly kissed.

"Aren't you taking your shower first?" he mumbled in her mouth but she gently shook her head, keeping up with the pace at which their tongue rolled in each other's mouths.

He curled her waist, pulling her closer so that there was no more space between them. With a swift gradation of intensity, she clings to him as the only solid thing in a dizzy world. His tongue slips into her mouth gently but demanding as every inch of her body dissolves into his.

Her fingers grip his short silky chestnut hair, their veins throbbing and their heart exploding at every intensity and soon, they are making out. The weight of his body on hers sent an extraordinary sensation through her. She felt him – all of him pressed against her. She could smell his shaving cream, shampoo, and that extra scent that was just him.

Paige could feel the thud of their combined heartbeat as he fumbled to take off her clothes. He deftly sent them flying one after the other. As they resumed kissing, his delicate skin rubbed against hers, sending wild tremors along her nerves, evoking every sensation left in her as her breath grew with a moan.

She felt his prick hard. She takes it in her hand and she gently strokes it – making him vibrate with passion, their flesh innocent and warm. In a few minutes, he rolls her over and puts it in as if the intermission had ended.

"Nolan~" Paige moaned at this sensation as he drove deeply and harder into her. She was whining with pleasure and that was good. She would climax soon.

He went on, slowing himself as he shafted deeply into her with every thrust. He pushed her knees higher. He was there and so was she, again. And then, the knot at the root of his prick dissolved in fire, melting. He groaned when he came.

She felt her wetness slipping on his skin and involuntarily smiled, watching as he collapsed beside her.

"That felt good," she sighed.

Paige glanced at Nolan who was by now lying beside her and snuckled his cheeks- returning to her position.

Nolan Paterson has been Paige's long-term boyfriend since their University years and now planning their marriage, which is in a few weeks. She, without a doubt, knew he was the one for her. And having to tie the knot soon was like a dream come true.

"Were you able to get the decoration designs from Tania?" she asked, sitting upright as she rested her back against the bed but he was far gone before she knew it– his soft snore, her reality check.

She chuckled, gliding out of bed as she strolled into the washroom. Soon the showers pattering down the floor filled the big cozy room and she was out the next minute. A white towel wrapped around her head as she rubbed her hair– drying it up.

The day had been hectic with various activities as well as work. Her elder sister Itzel, her biggest support system. They were 3 years apart. She was twenty-two while Itzel was twenty- five but one could easily mistake them for twins. Itzel's dark curly hair complimented her brunette green eyes and delicate beige skin while Paige loved hers silky, which goes well with her amber eyes.

The next big event in life was just around the corner and she couldn't help slacking off now. Settling behind her dressing mirror, the screen of her phone lit up displaying a picture of herself and her sister on the lock screen.

11: 45 pm, the time read.

Paige glances at the screen– picking it up. [ Late night hang out with me. What do you say?] The corners of her lips curved into a smile at her sister's message.

With a few taps on the keypad, she texted. [ I will skip this. I have to be at work early tomorrow. ]

She set the phone aside and carried on with her night beauty routine. Not long after, she glides back into bed. Wearing her lenses, she sets her laptop on her lap. Working on her final work presentation while Nolan lay fast asleep beside her. With the distance of her fiancee's apartment closer to her workplace than hers, she resorted to spending the night over to avoid running late.

The room was bustling with loud music and the voices of people talking while glasses clicked against each other in a toast. The busting night saw Itzel sitting over the counter with her phone in hand. Her gaze remained on the screen as she read her sister's reply and scoffed. Gulping down a glass of beer.

"Is she coming?" the bartender asked, setting another glass before Itzel.

She shook her head, glancing at the bartender; Clinton Maccathy, who was her best friend. She shifted her gaze to the liquor before her, tracing out the edge of the glass. It looked like she had plans that got disrupted. Without a word, she gulped down another shot.

"Aren't you going too far?" Clinton furrowed, staring intently at Itzel.

"What?" she smirked, "Are you going to snitch on me?" she chuckled, not in the less, bothered. She was about to pour herself another glass when Clinton held onto the bottle.

"You're drunk." he pointed. But Itzel managed to release it from his grip. Impulsively, a sigh escaped his lips, watching her pour another shot.

"You know I can hold my liquor," she fumbles on the words, giggling.

Clinton was about to say something when a customer called him. Allowing his gaze to travel to the direction of the voice, he said, "Just a moment."

He glanced back at Itzel, "And you, enough." he snapped, warning her, and dashed off– attending to the customer.
