Angel

The kind ruler of the Wyverian's walks through the forest as he does everyday. As he walks he hears a faint noise in the distance and he slowly walks over to check it out. His guard asks "You sure its ok to look into that Chief? we have to be careful of human traps." He responds " I'm sure it will be alright if we are careful. It sounds like crying though." They slowly walk towards the sound. The guard walks in front of him to make sure it isnt a trap. "Uh Chief you might want to come have a look." "What is it?" He looks down and sees a beautiful elven baby with beautiful bluish green eyes and beautiful pink hair abandonded and He wonder's where her parents went. He gently picks her up and slowly and gently checks over her to make sure she isnt hurt anywhere. "You sure that's ok sir? I mean she is really close to where the humans live. What if they heard her?" Then we have to get out of here and take her with us. There is absolutley no way I'm leaving her to the fate of the humans" He takes her home and raises her with his other daughter. She slowly walks through the forest the wind blows her beautiful pink hair as she is taking in the beautiful sight of the castle in the distance wondering what it would be like to live there. As she gazes at the castle her sister walks up to her. "Come on Angel. We've got to get going. I'm sure dad is looking for us." She notices Angel is staring at the castle in the distance. "Oh not this again. You know the humans dont like us." Kaiya says as she gently puts a hand on Angel's shoulder and snaps her back. "I wonder if the human's are really that bad? Have you met one sis?" Angel asks with pure curiosity in her eyes. "No I havent. After the stories we've heard its prob best if we didnt check." "You dont think times have changed since then sis? Maybe they've changed?" Angel says " I'm not sure sis. It's best we dont find out the hard way. Anyway we should get back. Dinner should almost be ready." Kaiya says as she goes to walk off "I'll be there in a few sis." Angel says as she turns to look at the castle one more time. As she goes to walk away something white catches her eyes and she stops walking in the direction of the castle. It's a man unlike any she has ever seen and she is captivated by his beauty she cant stop staring. He turns and stops in his tracks as he felt something staring at him and notices her. She is startled and runs away and hides behind a tree. She peeks at him from behind the tree as her heart races with a strange feeling in her belly. "Who is he?" she asks herself quietly. He scratches his head wondering who he saw. As he goes to search for her he is suddenly stoppted in his tracks by another man. "Your mother is looking for you your Highness." "Alright. I'm on my way" He takes one more glance behind him and notices her peeking from a tree and realizes how beautiful she is but she suddenly darts off in the other direction. "Who is she?" He quietly asks himself. She races back home. "Sorry I'm late dad!" He looks up and smiles "Got lost in the forest again?" He asks jokingly "Oh dad." she says as she laughs. Kaiya notices her face is a bit red "Hey sis you ok? your face is a little red" "H-Huh? O-Oh...yea I'm ok. Thanks for asking sis. I'll be fine" Angel says as she smiles at her sister. They eat dinner and go to bed. ~The Next Day~ Angel gets up and still has the man she seen yesterday. She cant seem to forget his white hair and his golden eyes. "Who was he? that other man called him your Highness." she whispers to herself as she sits up in her bed. she gasps. No way. Could he be the king or the prince of the castle in the distance? She gets excited. I must meet him. " I wonder if he will come to the forest again today?" She thinks as her sister comes in to see if she is awake. "Good morning Kaiya!" Angel says as she giggles and gets dressed. "Good morning to you as well." she says as she giggles at her sister. "You seem to be in a good mood Angel. Something happen I'm not aware of?" she says as she smiles. "Uh.....sorta. I'll tell ya about it later." Angel says as she goes to walk out the door. Kaiya shakes her head and laughs. ~With Angel~ She walks to the place in the forest that is right outside the castle grounds wondering if she'll see him again. She sits in the soft grass waiting for him. ~With Jack~ He slowly wakes still imagining her lovely pink hair and bluish green eyes. He cant seem to forget her face and must know who she is. He starts to get dressed as his mom comes in. "Where are you going in such a hurry dear?" she asks curiously "Oh uh I just wanted to go for a walk is all mom." He says trying to play off his excitement. "Ok son but try to be back before dinner ok. Also do be careful. I heard there have been lots of sightings of the Wyvernians near by" she says with a soft smile. " Ok mom. I will do." He leaves for the forest. After walking a bit he leans against a tree to catch his breath and take a drink. He looks at his surroundings taking in the view. Thats when he sees her sitting down in a small open area. He slowly approaches her. " H-Hello " He says softly not trying to startle her. She turns and jumps up as she sees the man she has been admiring since the evening before. " H-Hello" she says as she looks away flushed "My name is Jack it's nice to meet you" he says with a bright and innocent smile which made her blush even more. "My name is Angel. It's nice to meet you as well" she says shyly. "Are you ok? Do you have a fever or something? Your face seems to be a little red." He asks as he looks at her concerned " O-OH u-um no. I-I'm ok. I'm sorry." she says as she looks down hiding her face. She takes a deep breath and looks at him again and gets lost in his eyes. " I've never seen a human this close before. " she says as she continues to stare at him. He seems confused at first until he notices her ears. They are slender and long and pointed. But he didnt hate it. He thought they made her even more beautiful. "Now my mom might have warned me about Wyvarian's being near. She never said anything about a beautiful elf." He says as he takes a small step closer to her. "Why is she so worried about the Wyvarian's?" She asks curiously "Well from what she told me is that they are a terrible race. She wont tell me why she believes that." He says not sure if he even believes that due to not ever seeing a wyverian in his life "Ah I see. Well I can assure you that they arent so bad." She says as she giggles a bit. "Now is that so? Have you met one?" He asks as he looks at her ready to listen to anything she has to say. All of a sudden Angel hears her sister call out to her " Angel where are you?" "Uh oh. I gotta go. Shall we meet here again tomorrow?" she asks "I'll be here. But lets keep our meet ups quiet for now. I dont think i was supposed to run into you. But your way to beautiful and i'd love to know more about you." He says not realizing what he said. She blushes bright red " T-Thank you. Y-you can count on me. my lips are sealed." Realizing what he said to a complete stranger he blushes a bit as well. "Well see ya!" He says as he waves and bows to her. He's gone before her sister reaches her. "There you are. I started to get worried. Are you alright Angel?" Kaiya asks concerned "Oh.... Yes I'm good. Thanks for worrying sis. but I'll be fine" she says as she smiles brightly "Ok sis. Come on dad is looking for us. It's almost dinner time" Kaiya says. They go so they don't keep their father worried. After dinner Angel approaches her father. "Dad, mind if I talk to you alone?" she asks him nervoulsy "Sure lets go for a night stroll shall we?" he says as he smiles gently at her curious as to what is on her mind. They walk for a bit and stop at a beautiful area that has a small waterfall and they both sit down. "Now whats on your mind my dear princess?" He asks "Uhm...I know this is going to be a strange question dad. But why is it that the humans dont like our kind?" He laughs slightly "That is a good question dear. I believe why they dont like us is because they are scared of us. They dont understand that we can understand them. We look so different than them on the outside they dont take the chance to get to know us." He says as he looks into the sky "So has anyone tried to communicate with the human's at all?" she asks curiously "Yes. Many before us have tried but its never ended well sadly. I tried once. I met this beautiful sweet woman. she was about your age when we met. Beautiful dark hair and brown eyes. we met in the woods one day and she wasnt scared of me. We would meet up everyday learning about each other. I started to fall in love with her. But as I realized that she started showing up less and less until the day I was gonna tell her how I felt, she came and told me she was never gonna return and I should forget about her. She looked too happy telling me these things for I thought she felt the same as I did about her. It shattered me when she told me these things. I didnt know how to react. a few days pass after that and I see her taking walks and kissing another human man. A prince to be exact. That made me angry, but I didnt do anything. I still loved her and couldnt harm her. Until she started coming back and making me feel like I did before. I was confused but I didnt say anything cause I thought she really meant it this time. We were closer than before this time. She kissed me and told me she loved me. I was so happy I could hardly contain myself. We would spend most the night together hear in the forest hidden from everyone. Until one day she never showed up. I was gonna ask her to marry me that day. Then I saw it. She was getting married to the same man I saw her kissing months before. I went to confront her in a calm matter but she acted strange. It's almost as she didnt know me with the way she screamed. Then as I was chased off I turn to look at her sadly and confused, she smiled as if laughing in my face knowing what she had done. I ran off and never showed my face to humans ever again just as my ancestors did." He says sadly She sits there and thinks for a second. " What if I can talk to the humans for you father? From what I hear I dont look that much different." She says excitedly. "What do you mean my dear?" He asked. "Well maybe I can convince them that you arent as bad as you are made out to be. That you are just heart broken. It's terrible that we are treated so badly because we are different. Youre the best father I've ever had. You all treated me as I was one of you guys even though I'm different than you all." She says "Oh my dear Angel. Youre so sweet. I appreciate that you think that. Taking you in was one of the best decisions in my life. You and your sister mean the world to me. I'm not sure what I'd do if something happened to either of you." He says as he smiles at her gently. " If I'm careful would that be ok dad? I really want to try for you and for all of us. It's not fair we have to live in hiding. I know we've done it for ages now but I want to try to change that for us dad. " She says as she looks at him with determination " Alright dear. But I beg you to be careful. They are openly willing to kill us at any given chance for any given reason." He says as he looks at her concerned. " I promise I'll be careful father." She says excitedly and reassuringly. "Shall we go home now my dear?" He asks as he smiles at her seeing her happy "Yes its getting late. I'm sure you're tired father. Sorry for dragging you out here. But I'm glad I got to hear your story. Thank you for telling me." She says smiling brightly at him "Oh its ok. I had fun. I'm glad I got to tell you." He says as he gently puts a hand on her head as they walk back home. ~With Jack~ "Hey mom you have a minute?" He says curiously "I do my son. What's on your mind?" She asks looking a tad concerned "Well.... I know this is gonna be a random question mom, But why do you hate any and all magical creatures especially the Wyverians and elves?" He asks "Well because they are a dangerous race my son. Why do you ask?" She asked looking a bit confused " I was a bit curious since you are always telling me to watch out and be careful not to run into them. I was wondering if you had a bad encounter with them at one point" He says. She kinda looks off for a second thinking about the one she had met. " Well at one point we all got along well until this one tried to kill us all" she says as she looks away He looks at her confused as to why she wont look him in the eyes. "Are you sure that is what they were doing?" he asks curiously "Well yes why else would he barge into the castle unannounced and looking angry" She says as she flusters not knowing what else to say to her son. He looks at her confused as to why she is so fidgety talking about it. " Ok mom what about elves?" He asks thinking about the one beautiful elf he met the day before. " Well they are dangerous as any other magical creature. Especially elves. They look just like us but live longer lives if not immortal and their pointed ears and who knows what kind of magic they possess." she says as she tries to convince her son that anyone that isnt completely human is dangerous. "But what if they arent and just want to be treated as equal and not as some monster? Maybe if we treated them equally we can get along." He says with determination " I believe its best if we leave those things where they belong, in the forest and away from here." she says as she puts her nose in the air. Jack glares at her confused and feels as if something isnt adding up with his mother. As the days go by he realizes that Angel has become an every day thought for him. He wonders how she is doing, whats she doing and if she is thinking of him every day as he is her. ~With Angel~ About a year after meeting Jack she wonders what his true feelings are for her. She thinks to herself * I think I've fallen in love with him. I wonder what father would think* Lost in her thoughts Jack snaps her back to reality " H-hey you ok Angel? " He asks worried "Huh!? O-Oh yes I'm ok. sorry I got lost in thought there for a moment" She says as she giggles a bit He looks at her as he smirks a bit " What were you thinking about? " She blushes at his question " H-Huh?! N-Nothing" she says as she tries to hide her face He leans over really close to her making her blush even more and whispers in her ear " Come on tell me " She blushes even harder and thinks *This man is trying to kill me. Its like he knows* As she goes to tell him she hears her sister calling for her. "Oh! I didnt realize how late it was. I must be getting back before my dad gets worried." she says as she quickly stands up " I should get back too before my mom sends the knights looking for me " He says. They both laugh "Uhm...Hey Jack can we meet up here some time tomorrow? There is something I'd like to talk to you about." She asks shyly as she looks down. "Sure. Around the same time?" He asks excitedly "Yes that sounds great!" She says "Great its a date!..... I uh mean deal!" He says as he turns and blushes thinking * why did I say date? I got too ahead of myself. I'm not even sure if she likes me that way* She giggles seeing him blush hard as she did not too long ago "Alright see you then!" She waves and runs off. After she gets home and eats dinner she approaches her father. "Dad, can I talk to you please?" She asks nervously "Of course you can dear" He says as he gently smiles at her. "Ok thanks dad. Shall we go for a little walk?" she asked as she smiled brightly at him. "Sure dear. Sounds like a great idea. We havent done that in a while." He says as he smiles at her. After some time they make it to an area with a beautiful water fall with soft grass and beautiful flowers all around with a perfect veiw of the stars in the night sky. "Now that we made it what is it you would like to talk about my dear Angel?" He says gently as he smiles at her "Oh....U-uhm. So remember the human man I would tell you about that I have been meeting with?" She asks " Yes of course I do. He hasnt hurt you has he?" He asks as he looks at her worried "No father its quite the opposite..." she says quietly and looks down blushing. "Oh? Then what is it my dear? You know you can tell me anything." he says as he lets out a small laugh as he pats the top of her head. Still looking down and blushing even more " Dad.....I think I'm in love with him. Please dont be upset!" she says worriedly as she turns towards him with her head still down. He looks at her worriedly " Are you sure about this Angel? Especially after the story I told you what happened to me?" " I'm sure dad. I know you said to be careful because of that and I am. But my feelings for him are strong. and I intend to tell him tomorrow. I just wanted to come to you first." She says looking up just slightly to see her father's face. " Alright dear. I will accept it but if he hurts you even in the slightest I'm not sure what I will do." He says as he hugs her gently "Really!? Thank you so much father. I promise to be extra careful just for you ok. I was so worried you were gonna be upset with me." she says as she lets out a nervous giggle. "I have no reason to be upset with you dear. I just worry the same thing is going to happen that happened to me. Is all. Just if he does hurt you promise me that you will tell me?" He says as he hugs her again. "I promise father. I love you father. I really do appreciate everything you have done for me since you took me in. I couldnt have asked for a better father." She says excitedly and as she hugs him back " I fell the same dear. That makes me so happy knowing I've done something right with you and your sister." He says as he lets out a small laugh of embarrassment. Angel giggles seeing her father emabarrassed. "Shall we go back home father?" "Yes I do believe you have a busy day tomorrow." He says as he gets up ~The next day with Jack~ Sylvia enters her son's room seeing him moving around rapidly like he was in a rush. "Whats the occasion son?" She asks curiously as she giggles seeing him sweat trying to find the right outfit to wear "O-Oh Uhm... I havent told you but I met this beautiful girl and I have to meet her soon. She's got beautiful pink hair. She's different than all the others I've met. She doesnt see me as the prince. She sees me for who I am." Jack says as he pictures her once again and gets excited about seeing her again. "Oh well seems like she's a wonderful person dear. Where is she from if you dont mind me asking son?" she asks again curious "U-uhm I'm not sure mom. We just meet in the forest. Thats the place that I first met her." He says as he finishes up getting dressed. "The forest huh? Its been awhile since I've been out there." She says as she goes to remember the wyverian she once met. "Wait you've actually been into the forest mom? Thats a little hard to believe." He says as he lets out a little laugh. "Hey now your mom was once just as adventurous as well son. Just be careful going out there. Never know what or who is watching you." she says worriedly "I'll be fine mom. Dont worry." He says as he goes to leave. *I wonder if he met that elven girl that He adopted that I heard so much about? I sure hope that its not the case.* She thinks to herself. "I'm going to have to find out to make sure" she whispers to herself. ~With Angel~ "Hey sis how does this dress look?" Angel asks after she puts one a soft orange dress with flower designs on it. "It looks amazing sis. Here lets add one more thing" Kaiya says as she puts a beautifully crafted soft pink rose crown on her sister's head. "Better?" Angel asks as she looks into her hand mirror. "Yes it is. I'm so excited for you. I really hope everything goes well for you sis." Kaiya says and hugs her little sister. "Awwe thanks sis. Youre the best." Angel says as she looks at herself one more time in the mirror. At that moment they hear a small knock on the door. "Mind if I come in?" the voice says. "Yes you can dad." Angel says as she giggles "Oh my dear Angel you look absolutely beautiful." He says as he walks in. "O-Oh well thank you dad. Sis Kaiya helped me with my outfit. I was hoping I'd catch you before I left." Angel says while blushing from the sudden compliment "Make sure you are careful today ok dear." He says as he smiles and gently hugs her making sure he doesnt mess her outfit up. " I will father I promise. I'll make sure to tell you how it goes when I get home. I must be off now. I will see you later!" She says as she runs out the door waving and grabbing the snacks she had prepared for herself and Jack. ~Time passes~ Angel finally makes it to the area she is supposed to meet Jack. She stops to admire his beautiful face and snow white hair. He feels as if he is being watch so he turns around and sees Angel standing there looking at him. She suddenly snaps out of it and blushes as she walks towards him. "H-Hey Jack" She says nervously as she blushes more as she gets closer to him. "Hey Angel." He says as he smiles brightly at her. "You look great today." She says smiling at him "H-Huh? Oh this old fit? Well thank you. You look absolutely beautiful today." He says as he tries to hide his nervous laugh with a big smile. "O-Oh well thank you." She says as she blushes. "So what do you have there? If you dont mind me asking." He asks as he scratches the back of his head as he smiles at her. "Oh! I forgot I even had this. I brought us something small to eat if you get hungry" She says "How about we set it up over there by the waterfall on those stones?" He suggests "Thats perfect. Lets go eat then shall we?" She says as she smiles at him "Alright. This works out cause I am hungry. I havent ate all day" He says as he nervously laughs "Jack! Its almost night time and you havent ate all day?" She says as she lightly hit his arm and they both laugh "I'm sorry. I'll make sure I eat good right now to make up for it" He says as he lets out a small laugh "Well good. Although I just brought a few fruits and some special sweets I made. I hope you like them." She says shyly "You made these? Now I really have to try them." He says as he grabs one of the soft treats. "Y-Yea. I dont stay in the kitchen very often but everyone loves when I bake things. So you can imagine how sad they were when I told them that it was for something else and not for after dinner treats. She says as she laughs remembering their reaction. "Oh wow these are really good. Youre gonna have to make more so I can take some home to have for later one day. " He says jokingly " I can if you like " She says as she smiles knowing she's made someone happy with her treats. As they are enjoying their treats and time together someone approaches from behind but doesnt get too close. As she watches them talk at a distance she notices that the person her son met with is the same elf that HE adopted. she gets frustrated at the thought that her son could be in love with a magical creature she leaves. "I know just what to do. I have to make the arrangements fast." She says as she quietly walks away. After they are done eating they lay in the grass gazing at the stars silently. "Hey Jack?" she asks while she is still looking up at the stars. "Yes?" He says startled by the sudden question. "Remember yesterday I told you I wanted to tell you something?" She asks starting to blush "Of course I do." He says. She sits up and turns to his direction blushing not able to really look into his beautiful golden eyes. "Uhm.....Well what I wanted to say was..." He sits up and faces her noticing she's having a hard time trying to say what ever it is she wants to say. "It's alright. Take your time." *Why cant I just say it. Why is it so hard to tell him that I love him?* She thinks to herself She takes a deep breathe "Jack, We've known each other for a little over a year now and we're close friends right?" she asks "Well of course we are." He says with a big smile "Ok good. B-But... what if...." she stumbles on her words again *Damn it I cant get the words out. I'm too nervous* She thinks blushing and almost in tears cause she cant get her words out the way she wants to hoping Jack will understand what she is trying to say. As he looks at her tear filled bluish green eyes he gently grabs her face and whispers closely in her ear "Dont cry." as he leans in and kisses her gently but passionately pouring all his feelings into that first kiss. She widens her eyes in shock. Understanding that he feels the same way she does she wraps her arms around his neck and leans more into the kiss. They slowly pull away from each other finally knowing how each other feel they smile and blush. "Well that went better than I had planned" Angel says as she lays her head on his chest shyly not able to look up at him at the moment. Jack Lets out a small laugh as he hugs her "Oh yea? Then I'm glad" He says as he smiles and kisses the top her head. They lay back down on the grass and look at the stars once more enjoying each other's company. As they lay there together Angel lays her head on Jack's chest. He wraps an arm around her keeping her close and asks "So does this mean we are together now?" She jumps at the sudden question but doesnt hesitate to respond "Of course it does." He hugs her closer "Good. Then I wont ever let you go nor will I let any other man hurt you or have you" She blushes and smiles "And I will never leave your side" She sits up for a minute and picks up something and goes to make a couple of things. Jack notices a bit of glowing coming from her hands as she crafts whatever it is she is making. When she turns around she shows him what she made. Two rings made from a special sylvan wood. She grabs his hand "Here we go. Take this to remember me by. To know when I'm not right beside you that I'm the only one in your heart and I'll wear this one for the same reason." She says as she puts the ring on his finger. "It's perfect. I'll treasure this just like I'll treasure you" He says as he smiles and cuddles her again. After some time Jack hears soft breathing and noticed Angel had fell asleep on his chest. Not wanting to disturb her he stayed where he was smiling and gently brushing his fingers through her soft pink hair and thinks *Mom is gonna be worried but I'm sure I can get out of it if I explain what happened.* He soon follows her and falls asleep happy where he is. From a distance the ruler of the wyverian's and Angel's sister quietly walk up to check on Angel for she hasnt come home yet. "Dad should we wake them so they can go to their beds?" Kaiya asks worriedly "No dear. Seems everything went well. Lets go back home. It looks like Angel is in good hands for now* He says as they slowly and quietly walk away. *I can only hope he doesnt do her the way I was done* He thinks to himself. As morning came Angel slowly wakes up trying to figure out why she wasnt in her bed. As she tries to get up she feels something heavy across her body preventing her from moving. As she rolled over and realized it was Jack still sound asleep still holding her close she blushed bright red. Every time she tried to move his grip grew stronger until she finally gave in and layed there for a minute before she decided to wake him. "H-Hey Jack?" she says as she gently shakes him. He doesnt wake up so she gently shakes him again "It's time to get up" He groans and pulls her closer to him. As she's laying there trying to figure out how to wake him she gets an idea. She blushes at her own idea but she does it anyways. She leans in and gives him a gentle kiss on the lips her face still burning from embarrassment. He wakes up with that gentle gesture and blushes remembering they cuddled all night and that happened that night. "Good morning Jack. You gonna relax your grip a bit? she says as she giggles. He looks "No I dont think I will." He says as he smirks and pulls her in for a morning kiss. Angel jumps at the sudden surprise but gives in to the kiss and wraps her arms around him. After they pull away he leans in to her ear and whispers "Good morning my dear" She blushes at the sudden hot breath on her ear. "I swear you make the cutest faces when I do that" He says as he chuckles. He gets up and straightens out his clothes and helps Angel up. She fixes herself as well. "W-Well I suppose we have to go home now. My dad is probably worried sick." Angel says with a sad sigh. Jack walks up to her and gently puts his finger under her chin and raises her head as he wraps the other arm around her waist and kisses her again and again. "It'll be alright my Princess. We will see each other soon again. I promise" He says as he gives her one more long kiss before they go home. ~With Angel Angel finally gets home she goes straight to her father's room to tell him how things went. She gently knocks on the door. "Father its me Angel. May I come in?" She asks "Of course dear." He says gently and lets out a sigh of relief that she's home "S-Sorry I didnt come home last night father. Nothing happened. I promise." she says nervously "It's ok dear. Dont worry. I know you wouldnt do anything like that. I'm just glad you're safe." He says as he smiles at her "Thanks dad. I do have some news for you though" She says excitedly "Oh? What might that be?" He says as he gently laughs at how excited she is. "Jack and I are together now." she says "Oh really? So it went well then?" He asks. "Well it went better than I thought it was going to. I kept stumbling over my words." she says "I'm glad it went well dear. I just want you happy" He says "I'm very happy right now. Thank you dad." She says "Thank me for what dear?" He asks " I know me falling in love with a human is scary for you but you're still willing to accept it even after how you were treated. I appreciate your support in all this. You really are the best dad." she says "Oh now come on dont say such embarrassing things" He says as he laughs "Well its true dad" she says as she giggles ~With Jack~ Jack sneaks to his room before he is caught. Not long after he gets to his room he hears footsteps approaching so he hops into his bed and under the blankets still fully dressed and pretends to be asleep. Sylvia opens the door quietly and walks over to him to wake him. "Come on Jack its time to get up dear. You cant sleep your life away" she says as she giggles he groans and yawns "Alright alright im up mom." he says as he pretends he's waking up. "You got in pretty late last night huh?" she asks curiously He jumps at the sudden accusation "Uh yea. Sorry about that mom." He says nervously. "It's alright I just got worried is all. I'm glad you're home safe now" she says as she walks out of his room He waits till he no longer hears her footsteps and sighs a breath of relief and gets up to get cleaned up and changed for the day. After a few months of dating Angel he is preparing for his day and as he goes to walk out the room he bumps into someone. "Oh! I'm so sorry! Are you alright?" He asks as he helps her up. "Y-yes thank you." the mysterious girl says. "Thats good. If You'll excuse me I shall attend to my duties." Jack says as he bows polietly at her. "Uh wait! A-are you Prince Jack?" She asks shyly. He stops and turns around in confusion " I am. Might I ask your name?" He asks with an eyebrow raised. He suddenly hears a familiar voice behind him speak "Ah so she did find you. This is Vixen. She is going to be your princess consort." Sylvia steps in and says. "N-Nice to meet you your highness." Vixen says as she bows polietly. "Excuse us for a moment please. Uhm...Mom mind if I speak to you privetly for a moment?" He says as he smiles at Vixen. "Of course son. Excuse us dear. You may go to your room to unpack and get comfortable. If you need anything just call for one of the maids. I'll send for you shortly." Sylvia says as she smiles at her gently and walks away with Jack. "What is it you'd like to talk about my son?" Sylvia asks "Care to explain what you are doing mother?" He says as he crosses his arms in displeasure "Whatever do you mean son? I figured it was time we found you a wife." She says innocently "Did you forget that i had already found someone that is very important to me mother?" Jack says in an annoyed tone. "Oh my I didnt know you meant special to you in that way my dear. I thought she was a close friend of yours. Added if she was important to you in that way why have you not brought her so I could meet her?" She asks curiously "W-Well we've been only friends for a year now. We've only just now expressed our real feelings to each other a few months ago." Jack says as he remembers the night before and smiles. "Well what would you have me do with Vixen? She traveled all the way here to meet you." Sylvia asks "I want to know why you didnt inform me first before you brought her here? You could have told me you had that in mind and we could have prevented this whole incident mother." Jack says as he crosses his arms and suspiciously glares at his mother. "I wanted it to be a surprise dear. She is quite beautiful. Wont you give her a chance?" She says "Did you plan it before or after I told you about the girl I met?" He asks suspiciously "Oh come now son that doesnt matter. Vixen is here for you." she says happily "Mother I've made my decision and I choose to stay with the one I really love. I cannot marry Vixen." He says "Well if she's that special why dont you bring her here? You haven't even told me her name. So I assumed she was just a friend." she says. " Her name is Angel. She is the most beautiful person I've met in my life. Not just on the outside but the inside as well. She is everything to me. And if I am to marry anyone some day I intend to marry her. No one else. " He says with a determined tone. "Well son I cant just send her back. She just got here." She says with a bit of annoyance in her tone. "Well she is welcome to stay a few days to rest. But I wont marry her. Now excuse me mother I have some things to attend to then I'm going for a walk." He says as he walks away from his mother. "You will marry Vixen." She says quietly to herself frustrated at her son. ~With Angel~ "Hey sis who is that you keep staring at?" Angel says as she giggles as she notices her sister staring at a young male wyvern that is about their age. "Huh!? O-Oh his name is Ice." Kaiya says as she quickly looks away shyly "Why dont you go talk to him then sis?" Angel asks as she gently pushes her sister into his direction. " I-I can't. What if he rejects me? " Kaiya says nervously. Ice looks up and notices Kaiya and smiles at her. " I dont think he will sis youre beautiful and sweet. Plus you wont know til you try. Go talk to him." Angel says as she smiles brightly at her sister. " A-Alright sis " Kaiya says. She walks over to Ice and starts talking to him. "H-Hi" Kaiya says shyly "Hi there." Ice says as he smiles at Kaiya. "How are you today Ice?" Kaiya asks "Well I was doing good." He says "W-Was?" Kaiya asks nervously. "Yea. I'm better now that I'm finally talking to the most beautiful wyvern lady here." He says teasingly trying to make her smile. "Huh!?" She says as she looks up shocked. He lets out a small laugh seeing her blushing. "Would you like to join me for dinner some time princess?" He asks hoping she says yes. "O-Oh. Uhm are you s-sure?" She asks. "Of course I am. I've liked you for quite some time now. I just didnt know how to approach you. You are one of the princesses. " He says as he lets out a nervous laugh. "Oh? W-Well from now on you dont need to be nervous. You can talk to me." she says with a relieved smile and laugh. "Alright. I'll do that. So about that date? How does tonight sound?" He asks happily. "Sure." She says happily. "Alright. See you then!" He says as they go their separate ways. "So....How did it go?" Angel asks excitedly "It went great! We have a date tonight. Turns out he has like me for quite some time. He just didnt know how to approach me cause I am one of the princesses." She says excitedly as she blushes. "Oh! Thats great news sis. Come on we must get you ready." Angel says as she pushes Kaiya to the castle to help her for her date as Kaiya did for her. As she helps Kaiya Angel gets a strange feeling that something happened to Jack. *Hmmm...Something feels off.* Angel thinks to herself. "Angel are you ok?" Kaiya asks seeing her sister kind of staring out the window. "O-Oh yea sorry sis. You look great sis!" Angel says "T-Thank you sis. Well I guess I'm off to my date." Kaiya says "Good luck sis! Stay safe." Angel says as she sees her sister off. After dinner Angel makes her way to her and Jack's meeting place hoping that he's ok. ~With Jack~ Already at their meeting place he lays there waiting for his love hoping she will be there soon. After some time he hears rustling sounds. He looks over in the direction of the sounds and he stands up. When Angel gets there he runs to her and embraces her and kisses her passionately. After they pull away he hugs her. " I-Is everything alright Jack?" She asks as she blushes from the sudden kiss. " It is now that I'm here with you" he says as he keeps his arms wrapped around her waist. "What happened?" she asks him worriedly "I'm not sure whats gotten into my mom all of a sudden but after I got back home this morning I run into a young woman named Vixen and my mother proceeds to tell me I am to marry her." he says with an annoyed tone as he remembers the conversation he had with his mother earlier. " I see...." Angel says sadly as she sits down on the soft grass. She looks away and tears begin to fall quietly. Jack sits next to her and holds her close. " I told her that I was not going to marry her. That I am already with the one I love. She seems to not believe me but I dont care. I know that my heart is telling me that you are the one I am supposed to be with and I'm sticking to it. So please dont worry. I will never leave you." He says as he holds her closer. wiping away her tears. " You promise? " She asks as she looks at him with her beautiful bluish green eyes. as she asks that He has an idea. " Meet me here tomorrow. I'll have a surprise for you." He says with a big smile across his face. "O-Ok I will." she says as she smiles brightly after seeing his smile that she loves so much. He hugs her tightly. "I'm going to head back. I have to prepare for our meeting tomorrow. It's going to be very special." He says as he hugs her again. "Alright. I'll see you then." she says as she hugs him back. Right before they part he gives her one more passionate kiss. " Dont forget I still have the gift you gave me a few months ago. I wear it every day. It doesnt come off. So youre always with me and of course always in my heart. there is no room for anyone else." He says as he looks her right in eyes speaking from his heart " Oh Jack. And I always wear mine. I feel the same for you." She says as she blushes "Good." He says happily. ~The next day with Jack~ Jack gets up extra early to go into town to buy the things he needs to for tonight. ** I've got to make it extra special for her ** He thinks to himself as he walks through town. ~With Angel~ "Angel you seem extra happy today. I assume Jack is treating you quite nicely then?" Her father asks as he smiles and sits next to her. "Oh hello father. Yes he is. He wants to meet up today. He said he is going to have a surprise for me so I'm extra curious to know what it is." She says happily. "Oh he does? Well youre gonna have to tell me when you find out then" He chuckles "Father I.....I want to let you meet him. He is very special to me. Would it be ok if I brought him here?" She asks nervously as she looks up at her father. "He is huh? I havent seen another human since that time I told you about." He says as he looks into the sky "He's different father. I promise. I've told him all about you and everyone." She says "Hmmm...I suppose it wouldnt hurt. But he needs to promise you not to tell anyone where we live. Not all humans are like him." He says. "Oh father you have no idea how happy youve made me. I cant wait for you to meet him! Ok I have to go get ready. I've got to meet Jack soon." She says excitedly as she runs to her room to get dressed. ~With Jack~ Jack looks around and prepares the surprise for Angel as he waits for her to arrive. He hears rustling and talking getting closer. "Oh no....I've got to hide. That doesnt sound like Angel at all. One definately sounds female though." He whispers to himself as he hides behind a tree. As he peeks out he Sees this beautiful soft pink wyvern with a icey blue wyvern. They notice the roses on the ground placed in a certain way. "Hmmm....I wonder who left this here?" The male wyvern says as he goes to pick up a small basket "Wait dear leave it. This is Angel's spot. I think this is where she's been meeting her Jack." The female wyvern says Jack slowly peeks out. "H-Hi there. You know Angel?" He asks cautiously as he admires the creatures. "Why yes she's my sister. You must be Jack?" She asks. " I am. You both caught me fixing something up for her" He says scratching the back of his head as he laughs nervously. "I'm Kaiya and this is Ice. Sorry we interrupted you. We'll leave it to you then. We wish you well Jack. It was nice meeting you." Kaiya says as her and Ice walk away. ** Hmmm mother was all wrong about the wyverians. They arent bad at all ** he thinks to himself. He continues to fix things up and waits on Angel. As she's walking her normal path to get to hers and Jack's spot she notices rose petals on the ground, but they arent just everywhere. they are purposely put to follow where she walks. She slows her walking following the petals confused. ** Did Jack do this?** She thinks to herself. As she gets to the end of the pathway to their meeting spot she sees more petals in a bigger area. She gasps at the beautiful site of all the flowers that were placed in a very certain area. As she approaches Jack steps out from behind a tree smiling at her. "There's my dear" He says as he walks up to her. He guides her to the center of the flowers and has her sit on a stump he had put there for her to sit on and he sits on the other next to her. "J-Jack what's going on?" She asks with a confused tone while blushing. He grabs her hand that has the special ring she had made for them." I have somethings I need to say. Its gonna take me a minute." He says as he smiles at her and looks into her eyes. " O-Ok" she says worriedly but allows him to say what he needs to. "I know we've only known each other for a bit over a year now. I still remember the day I saw you running the other way when we made eye contact. And getting to know you was the best thing I've ever done . I want to always have you at my side and to never be apart. I want to continue to make you happy forever." He gets on one knee in front of her still holding her left hand. She gasps. "J-Jack?" she calls his name. He looks at her when she calls his name and smiles as he says " Will you allow me to make you happy forever and marry me Angel?" He asks as he pulls out a small box with a special made ring in it. It's some what wide with a raven on the top of it and a diamond in the center with celtic knots around the rest of the ring. "Oh Jack." She says softly as tears begin to fall "Of course I will!" she says happily as she jumps up and hugs him. As they celebrate someone is watching them upset. "This will not happen. I will make sure of it. He will marry Vixen. But I cant let him know that I know about this. I am going to have to play this game." Sylvia whispers to herself as she walks away. "I cant believe this is happening" Angel says as she giggles and cuddles Jack under the stars. " Neither can I but I'm really happy you said yes." Jack says as he holds her closer. "Oh! Jack. I forgot to tell you. I talked to father and he has granted you permission to come meet him." Angel says "He has? He isnt mad that youre with a human?" Jack asks. "Of course not. He has nothing against humans. Just really worried the same thing will happen to me that happened to him. I'll leave that for another day." Angel says "Well when did he want to meet me?" Jack asks curiously. "Whenever you were ready. They are of dragon kin and I'm the only one that isnt. But they treat me no different than any other wyverian aside from being one of the princesses." Angel says "Well I suppose getting permission from the ruler is as good as it gets huh?" Jack says jokingly. "Yes" Angel says as she giggles at Jack's sillyness. "Oh! I met your sister Kaiya and her mate Ice I assume earlier today. They were on a walk I suppose and they happened to stumble upon me fixing all this up. They were quite nice. Definately not what I was expecting." Jack says. "Yea. Sis is the sweetest. Gets along with everyone. Ice is very protective but he's very nice too." Angel says. "Shall we meet back here tomorrow so I can take you to meet father?" Angel asks "Sounds good to me." Jack says as he walks up to Angel and wraps his arms around her waist and gives her a goodnight kiss. "See you tomorrow my Princess" He says as he winks at her and walks away to go home. ~With Jack~ Jack gets back home and goes to go to his room but is approached by his mother. "Youre getting home kinda late arent you son?" Sylvia says. "Oh sorry about that mom. I went to see Angel." Jack says as he smiles bringing up her name. "Who is Angel?" Vixen asks from behind the queen. "Seems to be someone Jack cares alot for but no one around here has ever seen her." Sylvia says. "Oh....." Vixen says sadly. "Now look here son. Youve made her sad running off seeing other women. Wont you spend some time with her tomorrow?" Sylvia asks. "Sorry mom but I have things I have to take care of tomorrow. Now if you excuse me I am going to lay down and rest." Jack says as he waves at the ladies. "Dont worry dear. We'll get him to marry you" Sylvia says with a persistant tone. "O-Oh if he already has someone in his heart I dont want to get in between them. Seems like he really cares for this Angel. I'll have my leave tomorrow at noon. Thank you for letting me stay here. It was real nice. good night your highness" Vixen says as she walks back to her room to go to bed. "Damn it. I guess I'm going to have to figure something else out to get him away from her." Sylvia whispers to herself. ~With Angel the next day~ "Father would you like to know about last night?" Angel asks as she smiles brightly at him hiding her hand with the ring he gave her. "Of course. Seems like things went well from your smile." He smiles back at her. "Well...Jack asked me to marry him! and he agreed to meet me today so he can come meet you." Angel says as she shows her father the ring. "Oh my. I'm so happy for you dear. As long as youre happy then I am happy. I shall have your sister help me prepare for him. You go ahead and go where you need to meet him at." He says happily. "Ok father. Tell sis Ice can come too." Angel says as she giggles "Ok dear. I will tell her. Stay safe and we shall see you soon" He says as he waves her off. ~With Jack~ He walks out of his room to find his mother coming from her room as well. "Hey mother I have some news you would like to hear." He says teasingly making her more curious. "What is it my son?" She asks "Well....I asked Angel to marry me last night." He says as he remembers her reaction and he smiles. "What do you mean you asked her to marry you? I havent got to meet her yet." she says with an offended tone. "Well that is one reason why I am telling you. I plan to bring her here soon to meet you. Unfortunately it cant be today. She's busy." He says "Oh well then when ever she's ready to come. I'd love to finally meet this Angel." She says "Anyways mom I have to head out. I've got some things to take care of today. I'll see you later." He says as he goes to leave. ~With Angel~ She sits on a stone near the spring with her feet in the cool water waiting excitedly on her Love to show up. After some time she hears rustling. She turns and there he is. The one she's been waiting on. She runs up to him and hugs him. he chuckles "Well hello there My Love." He says as he embraces her back. "Hey My Love. I've missed you." She says happily "I missed you too My Love." He says as he tighten his embrace around her and pulls her closer for a kiss. "Are you ready to go meet father?" she asks "As ready as I will ever be My Love." He says as he grabs her hand to let her lead the way. ~After some time~ As Angel and Jack walk to the castle Jack is in awe at the view that is layed out before him. Angel giggles as she notices him taking everything in. "I didnt know there was a whole kingdom out here." He says as he looks at everything and everyone. "We stay pretty hidden from the humans. Of course except you." She says as she giggles. As they make it to the castle and go in the doors Her father and sister are standing there waiting to greet them. "Welcome back home my dear Angel. Is this who I think it is?" He says as he smiles and looks over at Jack. "Yes father it is. Jack meet my father and my sister Kaiya her boyfriend Ice. Everyone meet Jack." She says happily. "Come this way we have dinner prepared." Angel's father says They all sit and have dinner then go and sit down somewhere to talk. "So you want to marry my dear Angel is that right Jack?" Her father asks him "Y-Yes sir. She is the most beautiful person I've ever met. Inside and out. I was told all the wrong things about all magical creatures. From Elvs to Wyverns. You all are actually quite nice and everything opposite than what I originally know. Thanks to Angel I know a bit more about you all." He says with a big smile across his face. " Do you promise to take care of her and treat her no different than any other human you know?" Her father asks "D-Dad!?" Angel says as her face blushes "Well dear I must know. You and your sister are very important to me. I am not sure what I'd do if something bad would happen to either one of you." He says as he puts a wing around her. " I swear on my own life that I will protect her in every way possible and to always love her no matter what happens. No one can change my mind on how much I love your daughter sir. She is my everything." Jack says full of passion and dermination. "J-Jack?" She says blushing even harder. "It's only true my love" Jack says as he caresses her face and smiles at her. " Then if you swear to keep that promise I will accept this marriage" Her father says as he smiles at Jack and Angel. After some time Angel walks Jack back to where they always meet up so he is able to go home. "I'll miss you my love" Jack says as he gentley touches Angel's face bringing her closer to give her a kiss. "I'll miss you too my love" she says as she wraps her arms around him giving him a hug. He hugs back and leaves to go home. ~With Jack~ Later that night as Jack prepares for bed his mother walks in just as he finishes changing. "So how did tonight go son?" She asks still slightly offended that he went to Angel's father before he brought her to meet her first. " Well he approved of our marriage and I believe everything went quite well. The wyverns are nothing like what I was told. " He says as he notices his mother flinch in annoyance as he continues " They were well civilized and well mannered. They really care for everyone and everything. Everyone has the wrong idea about them. They only wish for peace with everyone including us humans." He says. "Is that so?" She asks in a sarcastic lopibfbgtone "Yes it is mother. I'm not quite sure why you hate them so but if you only took the chance to know them they are just like you and I. Didnt you raise me to never judge someone by the way they looked. His mother flinches at the sudden remark " W-well yes I did. But I meant humans not beasts in the woods." She says "Why do we have to treat them so differently just because they dont look like us? " He asked curiously She sighs in frustration seeing how determined he is not wanting to side with her on hating the magical creatures in the forest. "I'm going to bed. I'm not having this conversation. Just know I have my reasons." She says as she goes to walk away. "Wait mother. I was going to tell you I was gonna bring Angel to meet you tomorrow if you wanted to still meet her." Jack says quickly changing the topic. "Oh? So I finally get to meet the lovely young lady that has stolen your heart?" She says as she giggles under her breath "Yes if you are ok with it. But you have to promise me one thing." Jack says as he looks at her more serious than he ever has at his mother. "Whats that my dear son?" She asks in confusion "You have to accept her as who she is. She is the woman I love and I would do anything for her. She is sweet and caring and loves everyone. No matter what she may look like She is the one for me and nothing will ever change that. So will you do that for me please mother?" He asks full of determination. "Well of course I will son. If she makes you that happy to be with her then how could I say no?" She asks smiling at him "I could think of a few reasons..." He mumbles just low enough she couldnt understand what he said. "Did you say something dear?" she asks "No mom. Good night and I shall see you in the morning." He says brightly as he waves her off sending her on her way.
