4. THE ENGAGEMENT

_THIRD PERSON'S POV_

Yao Yao and Lili came to the couch and Shiyi didn't noticed that he was just looking at her.

Feng Wang noticed him and he slightly hit his arm with his elbow and Shiyi when looked at him, he saw feng Wang smirking.

"Mom... Dad... I'm back!" Suddenly a voice came and a figure appeared with a man behind him, having a suitcase.

"My boy came?...." Mrs Chen said while hugging Chen Qi.

" Chen Qi!!! You came late!!!" Suddenly Lili said when Chen Qi was about to hug her.

" I'm sorry, but Mr Lee wants to have more projects, so i have to live there for one more day. "Chen Qi said , sincerely apologising.

" But on my sister's engagement, i brought a gift for you! "He said excitedly while pulling out a well wrapped white and red coloured box from his back. as if he has been hiding it first.

" What's inside? "She asked while holding the box from him.

" See yourself! "He said and Lili was shocked after she opened the gift box.

It was a photo frame of her family, with a brecelet on it. The brecelet was having a feather like designs in silver and golden colours.

Lili's eyes filled with tears as she saw the gift, she caressed the frame and hugged her brother.

_LILI'S POV_

I know it was just a brecelet and our family photo but it really meant to me a lot,cz i lost this brecelet when i was a teen probably twelve years old...i really cried out then...i think probably for an entire night.

Cz my mother gave me this as my birthday gift that year.

But i didn't knew he had it.

"Thanks bro" i said while controlling my tears, All make an awe while watching us.

"Okay okay don't cry, or your make-up will be ruined and after that you will look like a witch, you know?" He said jokingly, making me laugh.

I was still curious about how he got it, but as there was mom and dad near, i decided not to ask.

All guests had arrived, our business partners, our friends, relatives and the event started.

"Ladies and gentlemen I welcome you all to this engagement, where two families- Lu and Chen are going to join, and are going to become One family. "The host, Chen Qi said and the lights went off giving a spotlight on him.

" Please give a round of applause!! "He shouted and the hall filled with he loud claps.

" Now please welcome today's couple, Chen Lili and Lu Shiyi!!" He said and again the hall was filled with louder claps, the spotlight went on the stairs where we were coming down.

My right hand was hooked with Shiyi's left arm, while we were looking like a perfect couple.

We were wearing the matching blue outfit.

When Lili hooked her arm with mine,i was really hap...i mean..uhhh.nothing..

We went down and stood there smilingly, later on went to the guests and talked with them, and the guests giving them gifts.

I was talking to guests when Lili suddenly came closer to me. I looked at her and saw her uncomfortable so i asked "What happened?" But she refused by saying "Nothing" and smiled.

But i was not satisfied even though she smiled ,i know she faked it. I then looked around to see what is disturbing her and found out this bastard looking at Lili, or more like scanned her.

I don't know why or what was it,but suddenly i felt like kicking his shit out his ass..

When i saw his face....i clenched my fists in anger and obviously Lili noticed it but didn't said anything.

"Hey Shiyi, man you are really marrying!!" He said while shaking his hands with me.

"Hlo miss." He said to Lili and was about to take her hands when I held his hand and shook hand with him again, not because I intended to shake hands twice, but cz I know how shameless he is.

I left his hand and he looked at me awkwardly,a waiter approaches us and he picked up a drink and asked "Want a drink?"

"Why not?" I said and picked up a drink from the tray and waiter was about to go when he stopped him.

"Miss, don't you want a drink?" He asked Lili and she was about to say something but I said "She don't drink." in a Fierce tone.

"Oh well...i see...." he said and the waiter went from there.

"Well, miss, i have to admit that he found a beautiful lady." He said after taking a dip of his drink.

"Well, my choice is always Correct!... Right, Sweetheart?" I asked Lili and she first looked at me in shock when i said 'Sweetheart ? "But when i winked at her she understood and said "Yes, love." She played along.

After saying bye to him, we left front there like a proud couple.

*Correction needed- a lovely proud couple.*

My eyes went to her and i decided to tease her.

" Sweetheart, would you mind if i call you like this in future?" I teased her smirking and her eyes widened and she pinched me at back without anyone's notice.

"Love, you can call me whatever you want.." She said while piching me more hard.

"Ok.. okay... fine... I'm sorry, le.. leave me." I whined not knowing i should laugh or cry.

"Better!" She said while hooking her hand again with my arm.

"Tereso!"I called her and she looked at me with narrowed eyes.

"Si."She uttered non-chlantly.

"Va bene."I uttered in the same tone.(okay)

"Bien, mais connaît-elle le français?" I whispered in french.(Nice, but do she know french?)

"Pour votre aimable information, mon amour. je parle couramment italien, français, russe, anglais, hindi et coréen." She stated fluently.(For your kind information, my love. i can speak italian , french, russian, english,hindi and korean fluently.)

And after some time, All were sitting on the tables , enjoying their meals while me lili, and our parents were sitting on one table, eating.

"How about we fix the date of marriage?" Suddenly Mr Chen said and Lili choked on her food.

I filled a glass of water and hold it for her, while she drank it.

"okay now?" I asked and she glared at me, she know that i will tease her more if she says something so she just nodded .

"How about after two days?" Mom said and all agreed with her.

" Yeah it will be fine! What you both say? "Dad asked while looking at us both.

" As you wish." Lili said and they final the date.

After the meals,Chen Qi said while standing in the middle of the hall.

" Ladies and gentlemen, now it's time for the couple of the day to dance...please give them a loud round of applause!!."

I looked at Lili and she was already looking at me,with narrow eyes.But soon spotlight was on us.

"Beautiful lady..will you make my life worthy by dancing with me?"I asked her politely, bending while asking for her hand.

"With pleasure."She said smilingly and placing her hand on mine as we went to the centre of the hall as slow track started to play.

I placed my hands around her waist as she placed hers on my chest, distancing us. I smirked and pulled her closer as she looked at me with narrowed eyes.

But soon this eye contact turned into something staring...

I admired her facial features. Her light brown eyes with slight yellow and green shades.Long lashes. Her cheeks turned pink as she blushed in our eye makeout session.

Her plumpy- pink lips looks so delicious, i wanna taste them.

*Control dude control..*

She looked down while blushing,she knew i noticed it.

_LILI'S POV_

I kept my hands on his chest to maintain the distance but he pulled me closer.

Ohh god, he's being a pervert.

I blushed at the thought.

We were staring into each other's eyes, and for the first time i saw his eyes,this closely.

Suddenly i felt a finger under my chin and and he make me look at him again.

_SHIYI'S POV_

She was still looking down,so i put my index finger under her chin and make her look at me.

She was blushing.but was shocked at my actions.

Suddenly i noticed the music change from slow to somewhat with beats.

I didn't notice when others joined us , I was so busy looking at her.

Was I??

*Yeah..you are whipped dude!!....*

No I'm not!

I removed my left hand from her waist and held her right hand,intertwining fingers.

I smirked and make her spin multiple times before she leaned back and came up back again before she spinned with my arm and came back resulting her back colliding with my chest as my arms held her waist as she held my arms tight as she was breathing heavily .Her head leaned against my chest while her breath became normal again.

And we moved slowly,matching the rhythm as the music slowly stops and all couples who were dancing clapped while the others shouted and clapped louder.

"Wow!!! Such an amazing performance by the couples.Please give a round of applause for them!"Chen qi shouted as the hall filled with claps again. I looked at Lili who was smiling.

*Totally whipped..duh!!!!*
