The Most Terrible Blind Date

The weather in Malaysia in November was uncertain. Sometimes it hot in the morning but usually raining heavily in the evening. Sometimes it drizzle in the morning and warm in the evening.

Lily sat by the window of a western restaurant, looking at the heavy rain outside the window. Her lips pressed tightly, took a sip of her hot chocolate. The man who look like thirty five years old opposite of her who was eating scratched his non itchy forehead.

"Miss Lily won't you eat at all?" Lily felt terrible looking at him spoke with his mouth full of food and it squirted a little on the table. At this time he was eating spaghetti making his mouth stained with red and black sauce which looked greasy.

Any hungry women will lose their appetite seeing this man without table manner if they eat with him.

Lily shook her head,she really want to scold this person but just show him her business smile. "I'm not hungry Mr Eddie. Please enjoy your food"

Eddie look at her twice and said while eating. "I'm very satisfied with you. My mother told me you are generous and gentle girl. I believe it now. How about let just get together officially. We can get married in the right time or maybe this coming new year."

Lily became stiff her mood became more sour. She really want to smack this man head. Arranging her mood Lily said with fake smile "Your mom misunderstood me Mr Eddie. I'm not generous and gentle at all"

"You a so humble miss Lily. I'm really satisfied with you" Mr Eddie continue to say "You have a proper job and you will not depend on me financially. You also have your own house and after we get married I will move to your house so we can have our own home. You work at a big company so it should be easy for you to loan a car you can pay for our car and I will pay our daily expenses"

Lily's patience is getting thinner as thin as onion skin. She stood up and said "Mr Eddie I suddenly remember I have something to settle now"

Eddie hurriedly stop her " Miss Lily we talk well why do you suddenly want to leave"

Seeing Lily didn't care about him he stood up too and said "wait you haven't paid for your meal yet"

At this time the waiter saw that they were leaving and came over with the bill "Mr and Miss you spent a total thirty-one ringgit. Would you like to swipe your card or pay cash? owh you can pay with e-wallet too."

"pay cash". Eddie took out ten ringgit note from his pocket and hand it over to the waiter. He turn to look at Lily "we should go dutch in the blind date. I pay for my own share and the rest is on you."

Lily snorted in annoyance " I don't even know how do you use your brain to calculate and spilt the bill. I clearly only drink a cup of hot chocolate but your food and drink only cost ten ringgit"

Eddie frowned "your salary is higher than mine. it's only normal for you to pay more. I just said that you were generous and gentle,now you became stingy."

Lily curse in her heart "I'm stingy but he is greedy. Why would my second blind date is more horrible than the first." She just take out fifty ringgit from her purse, hand it to the waiter and walk away.

"miss this is too much,can i hand you the change at the counter?" the waiter following Lily out since the counter is at the exit door. Lily pat the waiter shoulder "just keep the change and don't give it to that stinky man" she than wink at the waiter and left hurriedly.

while walking out lily took out her phone and made a call to her dear brother. "brother you are dead meat,pay me ten times of my one hour lose since you dare to set me up with that stingy and greedy men"

"what ten times just say that you want to robe me" her brother retorted.

"than don't wait for me this weekend I won't came back home" Lily threat motionless

"Fine I will transfer ten thousand now. That more than enough right?" Her brother relented. He know very well that this sister of him value one hour a lot.

"That good." after saying that Lily directly turn off that call and headed to the lift. She press the down button and wait. Just after the elevator doors open she heard the stingy man calling her "Miss Lily wait for me." Lily hurriedly get into the lift and press the close button a few times not noticing her boss in the same elevator at all.
