Prologue

"Hello everyone! I'm back for today's stream! It's great to see all of you again, chat! Let's kick off this stream with some high energy! Show me your enthusiasm, guys!"

"My name is Niimi Kousei, a high school student, and a passionate Vtuber who enjoys playing games and having a blast with others.

"What game should we dive into today, chat?" I curiously inquire as I observe their suggestions flooding in.

"How about trying out the new horror game?" one chat member proposes.

"Ohh~ A new horror game? Come on, guys. We already had our fair share of horror last stream."

I pause, a brief flashback from the previous stream playing in my mind.

"U-Uhh, guys... Isn't this a death flag? I'm gonna die, aren't I?! Guys?!" I recall the panic from that moment.

There's still a nagging feeling of fear inside me.

"You guys enjoy giving me a heart attack, don't you?!"

"Because you're a scaredy-cat, lol."

"True, lol."

"Anyway, let's change the topic! What should we play next?" I create a poll for the chat, giving them the option to pick between "FPS" or "Rhythm game."

"Hey, Kou-kun!" a chat member said. "I heard that 'Lucky Star' is making its debut. Are you going to be there?"

"Of course! It's 'Lucky Star'! Are you kidding?!"

"Lolol, so degenerate," someone remarked jokingly.

"Nooo, Kou-kun, don't look at other girls!" another chat member playfully protested.

"Bro, someone's acting weird today," a subscriber said.

"You do realize that I love 'Lucky Star,' right?! Let me tell you more about them!"

"Oh, shit, guys, he's gonna start a one-hour storytelling session, lolol."

The other members go into lurk mode.

"I'm just joking, guys! I'm kidding! I won't do it again!"

"Lolol, his viewer count went from 533 to 513."

"OML" (short for "Oh my Lord")

"Okay, let's get back to the stream," I said, glancing at the poll results. "And it looks like the rhythm game won the poll!"

"Oh no, here comes the Finger God,"

"What is this guy even saying?

"LOL, it's so true," someone else chimed in.

The chat had given me the nickname "Finger God" because I had managed to complete a difficult level with a perfect combo, no misses, and achieved an SSS rank.

It had gone viral on the internet as people start calling me "Finger God"

"I made a level that you might like, Kou-kun," the chat member said and dropped the link.

"Oh! What?! You made a level using a Lucky Star song?! Awesome! Thank you, Sakuragai-san! (The chat member's username)

Excitedly, I clicked on the link and downloaded the level.

"Ohh! This song! Didn't they sing this last debut?"

"Ye."

"Holy shit, you're being a degenerate right now."

"Stfu or I'll time you out," my admin said. (Timeout is a command on chat where a user will not be able to send a message till the timer runs out)

"Oh no, Ryuji is here! Run!"

"I'm a good girl today, uwu."

"The boss is here!"

For some reason, everyone is afraid of Ryuji because he's very serious about his work. Although I've tried telling him sometimes that he should be more lenient with the chat, I'm also grateful for him at times.

Then a notification sound caught my attention as I opened the rhythm game.

"Ohh! Thank you for the... 50 gifted subs?!" I exclaimed in a surprised tone.

The text-to-speech feature read out: "When are you going to do a face reveal?"

I remained silent for a moment, shaking my head. "Never... Actually, isn't this my face?" I zoomed out the view of my Vtuber model.

My Vtuber model actually depicted a fairly handsome appearance, with dark grey hair and light blue eyes.

Meanwhile, in real life. My appearance is like… average.

"Anyway, let's get back to the game!" I played the downloaded level and continued streaming.

An hour passed by.

"Dang, it's already 10 PM. Anyway, guys!" I closed the game. "Thank you for watching the stream. Thank you for the 50 gifted subs, the 5,000 yen donation, and the 20,000 dono! See you all again tomorrow!"

With that, I ended the stream and immediately got up, walked over to my bed, and falls to the bed "Gahh~ That was so tiring..."

"I should sleep now."

I stood up once more from the bed and turned off my computer. Feeling the fatigue setting in, I fell back onto the bed and allowed my mind to finally rest.

As the sun gradually rises, casting warm hues across the room, morning settles in. Despite still feeling the lingering fatigue from the previous stream, I push through knowing that a new day awaits.

Rising from my bed, I stretch out my limbs and make my way to the bathroom. The sound of running water fills the air as I splash my face, refreshing myself and shaking off any remnants of sleep.

I reach for my toothbrush and toothpaste, going through the familiar motions of oral hygiene, allowing the minty freshness to invigorate me further.

"Ah, the toothpaste is about to run out," I sighed, noticing the dwindling amount left in the tube."This sucks."

I then enter the shower and enjoy the soothing warmth that removes the last traces of exhaustion.

Once dressed and ready, I gather my belongings, making sure to pack everything I need for school.

I quickly glanced at my phone's clock. "39 minutes." I step out the door, get on the bike, and start pedaling to school.

As I arrived at school, I quickly parked my bike at the bicycle parking area and made my way toward the classroom.

"Good, now... stay low... stay low," I whispered to myself, trying not to attract attention as I quietly walked towards my seat.

However, my attempts were soon thwarted as my friends noticed me and started approaching.

"Mission failed," I sighed.

"What do you mean, 'mission failed'?" asked Akira Sakamoto, a close friend of mine. He was well-known for his skills in baseball and soccer, attracting admiration from some of the girls in our school. It seemed like he effortlessly drew attention wherever he went.

Though he is not particularly interested in the girls at our school, except for one person – his "coach."

"Anyway, what do you want?"

"Wow, how cold..."

"Because you're the one who keeps sabotaging my missions."

"Yeah, yeah. Anyway... Did you know that three transfer students are coming to our school?"

"Yeah? Well, I'm not interested in them,"

He raised an eyebrow, a mischievous smirk playing on his lips. "Are you sure about that?" he teased.

"Yes, I'm sure. Stop smirking,"

"Pfft~ Ahahaha~ Alright!" he laughed, casually walking but then he suddenly stopped mid-step. "By the way, there's toothpaste on your cheeks."

I blinked in surprise and quickly reached up to wipe the toothpaste off my face, feeling a slight embarrassment.

I turned and swiftly made my way out of the classroom, heading towards the nearest bathroom.

The boy's bathroom was located on the second floor. I should wash my face just in case.

However, as I walked down the corridor, my attention was immediately captivated by three familiar faces that stood out from the crowd.

Aren't those... the LuckyStar Idols...?

But then, something caught my eye. Among their belongings, I noticed something that seemed strangely familiar.

"A-Aren't those my... vtuber merchandise...?" I murmured in disbelief, my voice barely audible.

I quickly turned around, trying to gather my thoughts. Doubts swirled in my mind. "Surely, it's just a coincidence... right?" I whispered to myself.
