20 Chapter20-Sebastian's Retaliation

Rock Guild occupied the entire left side of the third floor of the guild building due to their vast number of members.

Inside their base, an irate Playboy stood before WindSovereign, narrating Sebastian's audacious actions.

"ShepherdWind dares to act so brazenly?" WindSovereign remarked with a stern expression.

He hadn't expected the other player to disregard Rock Guild so blatantly.

"Guild leader, we should issue a Guild Bounty," Playboy suggested, his face contorted in rage.

"Guild leader, I concur. By doing this, we can strategically weaken the North Wind Team," Chaser, still smarting from the beating he had received during the day, chimed in, eager for a chance to tear Sebastian apart.

WindSovereign fell deep into thought, not responding immediately.

Issuing a Guild Bounty meant they would irreversibly sever ties with the North Wind Team.

Offending such a top-tier team would be a significant loss for the guild.

Crash—

"Bring WindSovereign to me."

At that moment, the base's main door was kicked open. A man and a wolf stepped into everyone's line of sight.

Their commanding and arrogant entrance left every guild member inside the base in astonishment, followed by a surge of fury.

"Are you seeking death?"

A group of players, enraged, stepped forward, ready to strike at Sebastian.

Fighting within the village was forbidden, with culprits kicked out of the newbie village by the game, losing their levels and all their possessions.

However, inside each guild's base—a private area—combat was allowed.

This rule was in place to encourage battles between guilds, enhancing the game's playability and appeal.

So, when Sebastian stood inside the base, the incensed guild players lunged at him like hungry tigers.

"Hold on."

At that moment, WindSovereign intervened.

The players halted, creating a path.

WindSovereign, clad in shimmering silver armor, approached with a face full of rage.

"ShepherdWind, you're quite bold," he remarked gravely.

"I heard you're seeking revenge?" Sebastian met his gaze with an even expression, replying indifferently, "So, I brought myself to your doorstep. Are you going to make your move?"

Such an audacious and defiant tone instantly enraged the hundreds of players present.

"Guild leader, let me slay this kid."

"This reckless fool thinks he's invincible?"

"Wait, I'll kill you until you're back to level 1!"

"Everyone, together, let's finish him!"

...

Outbursts of anger echoed around, but Sebastian remained undeterred.

WindSovereign stood amidst the crowd, eyes narrowed. "You don't think I'd dare to lay a finger on you just because you have the North Wind Team backing you? On my turf, you won't be leaving."

No sooner had he spoken, Chaser and Playboy appeared, almost magically, behind Sebastian, blocking his only exit.

"Kid, I'm unsure whether to call you foolish or just plain foolish," WindSovereign's face slowly contorted into a smile. Lifting his hand with palpable malice, he commanded, "Now, you're trapped... Kill him!"

The already furious players, weapons in hand and faces twisted in rage, lunged madly at Sebastian upon hearing this.

A faint smile graced Sebastian's lips.

Suddenly, he pulled out a crimson scroll and began to chant.

As the closest players rushed to interrupt his incantation, Breeze, his protector, emitted a chilling breath, slowing their advance and sending them flying.

However, as more players joined in, Breeze's HP rapidly dwindled, with many long-range attacks targeting Sebastian.

It was at this moment that Sebastian's chanting concluded.

The crimson scroll burst into a dazzling, brilliant red light that pierced the sky, a terrifying aura sweeping across the entire room.

Every player was taken aback, staring at the radiant beam, their hearts trembling.

They had never witnessed such a breathtakingly formidable spectacle.

The overwhelming heat that rushed towards them turned their faces ashen.

Boom—

The moment the red light hit the ceiling, it transformed into a vast cloud of roaring flames!

The terrifying heat made all the players halt in their tracks, their expressions filled with disbelief.

Amidst the flames, a chilling power emanated. Under everyone's watchful gaze, an endless cascade of fire descended, targeting every player in the vicinity.

Infernos filled the sky, consuming everything in their path.

The dreadful celestial fire, carrying an indescribable might, darted down like meteors.

Under this rain of fire, every player trembled, paralyzed.

Boom, boom, boom—

As the heavenly flames descended, a terrifying force erupted, instantly engulfing player after player.

Under the massive damage, these players, each with only a few hundred HP, were obliterated before they could react.

"What kind of power is this?"

In his dying moments, WindSovereign uttered a gasp of disbelief.

Amidst the red glow, Sebastian looked upon the players struck by the celestial fire, his face impassive.

He didn't hesitate to use the [Scroll of Heavenly Fire], intent on conveying a clear message to Rock Guild: cross him, and pay a dire price!

Only then would these pests cease their incessant buzzing around him.

Ten seconds later, the entire guild base was scorched black. Sebastian turned and departed from the scene.

Beside the Darkstone Resurrection Stone, beams of light descended as the Rock Guild's players revived. Fear and disbelief etched onto their faces.

They couldn't fathom that the opponent would unleash such a devastating attack.

The mere recollection of the sky ablaze, consuming everything, sent shivers down their spines.

Standing among the players, WindSovereign's face was pale, his heart racing.

One thought consumed him regarding Sebastian:

Do not provoke.

Never provoke!
