The options were totally different from the beta. Ryu was bewildered by the new features. As he was looking over the system, he noticed the logout button was grayed out, not letting him log out. He began spamming the log-out button, but before he could panic, he heard a bell chime echoing throughout the whole first floor.

"What's happening?" Ryu muttered.

He saw a blue light in the corner of his eyes. Looking over there, he saw players teleporting in with confused expressions plastered on their faces. More players began to flood in with the same expressions on their faces. Suddenly, the sky began turning red, making it a crimson sky with an announcement plastered on the sky. Blood began pouring down from the sky, concentrated on one spot, creating a huge player with a huge robe hiding its face.

"Who is that?"

"Is this an in-game event?"

"I think it's a GM!"

"Why can't we see his face?"

"What's going on?"

Players began whispering to each other, surprised at the unexpected event, but suddenly a deep voice was heard hushing their voices and began listening to the figure.

"Welcome to my world. My name is Kayaba Akihiko, the creator of the nerve gear and Sword Art Online, I am the sole ruler of this world. The creator, I am God of this world, I have decided to make this game more interesting. You may have noticed your log-out button has been removed. This is not a bug. This is the true meaning of full dive; this is what I intended to do. You cannot log out; anyone from the outside world who takes off their nerve gear will die. A burst of microwave radiation will be transmitted to the nerve gear that will fry your brain, thus killing you."

Players began laughing off his words, thinking that this was an in-game event.

"This in-game event is so realistic!"

"Hurry up! I want to level up!"

"Get this over with!"

Some players began walking off the platform but were blocked by a force blocking players from leaving the area. Players began getting rowdy from this, but after hearing his next words, silenced every player.

"Unfortunately, 213 players have already died from external interference inside the game and outside the game. When forcibly removing the nerve gear, the internal battery will explode, sending a shock into your brain—ultimately kill you. This has already been reported worldwide, spreading among the media."

Ryu opened the menu, looking in his inventory.

"A mirror?" Ryu muttered to himself.

Selecting the mirror, a blue light surrounded him, blocking his vision.

Looking around, he saw a girl looking at him with a hue of red on her face. Looking around, he saw women with the same mesmerized expression plastered on their faces. Noticing this, he looked back in the mirror. He saw his real appearance reflecting off the mirror.

Seas of players' appearances began changing, showcasing their real-world appearance: people with shocked expressions.

"I created this world for pure enjoyment, do entertain me, show me the best show you can, good luck players."

After the huge figure disappeared, silence loomed throughout space. No one was talking, everyone was there in shock and processing. After a while, players began panicking, afraid of the figure's words; some players began crying from fear.

Ryu was indeed afraid, but the will to survive gleamed in his eyes, putting on a black cloak hiding his face, he rushed outside the town and began heading to the next town. He knew that there were limited resources; this was the time to take advantage of the panic that was spreading. He had to survive for his father. Even though his father was busy with work, his dad still loved him. He had to survive for him, for himself. Not wanting his father to feel the loss of another family member, he had to survive.

Mobs began spawning in. A boar began rushing towards Ryu, seeing Ryu activate his sword skill, making the silver steel sword gleam blue. As the boar began coming closer, Ryu sidestepped to the left, slashing down his sword at its head, slicing the boar's head off.
