Primis: I see. So, that's how come to this world.

Subaru: Yup. What about you?

Primis: Me? Well, I was standing on a grassy land enjoying the light rays but all of a sudden, a blackhole appeared and sucked me. The next moment, I was in this world.

[True. The Grassy land was the island in your "Pet" world. And the black hole was something you created yourself to come to this world. Even though you have omitted a lot of things it's still true.]

Subaru was looking weirdly at Primis right now.

Primis: What is it?

Subaru: You said you were enjoying sun rays on a grassy land. Your actions seemed just like an old man.

'Primis: Yes, I am an old man. Got a problem with that.'

Though Primis didn't speak those words loud.

Primis: Everyone has their own way to relax. Mine is to spend time in peace and quiet.

Subaru: I get it. But still to me it feels like your way is that of an old man.

'Primis: Yeah, right. I dare you to say those words at the face of "Witch of Sloth, Sekhmet". I am sure she will give you a proper answer to your question.'

[I couldn't agree more.]

Primis: Anyway, there's something else I want to ask.

Subaru: Sure, ask away.

Primis lowered his voice even more and asked.

Primis: What do you remember before reset?

Subaru: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Subaru had a drastic change in expression. His happy face turned to that of shock as he went into deep thought.

Subaru: N-No, that can't be. It was a dream. Yes. Just a dream.

Primis: It's not. You still remembered the events that take place----

Subaru: NO!!!! IT'S IMPOSSIBLE.

Subaru scream drew the attention of Felt and Rom too. Because of his sudden scream, Felt even jumped out of her seat. Rom turned and looked at them before opening his mouth.

Rom: Listen, boys. I don't like loud noises in my shop. If you don't stop screaming, I will kick you both out.

Primis disregarded Rom's words and focused his attention completely on Subaru. He glanced at Celebi who didn't want to help Subaru after how he called him a sidekick but still moved since its Primis command. It raised its body a little and pointed its hand towards Subaru. Same green like covered him before his mental state stable.

Rom: Now that's a rare sight.

Felt: Rare?

Rom: Yeah, from its power I can tell it's a nature spirit. However, from my knowledge, Nature spirit never left their forest. So, seeing one here is rare, no, it's rarer among rare.

Felt: Amazing.

After some time, Subaru calmed down. Primis waved a hand towards Felt and Row. Seeing this they averted their gaze and continued their talk. Subaru took a deep breath and looked at Celebi again.

Subaru: I was wondering before too, is this your contract spirit.

Primis: Yes.

Subaru: Since you get something, I as a protagonist I will also get something.

Said Subaru as he saw Celebi returning to Primis shoulder. Enviousness was visibly in his eyes.

Primis: What next?

Subaru: O-Oh. Sorry about that. So, where was I......…...Ah. I remembered. I found myself in the middle of town. At first, I thought I was dreaming but then I saw many carriages which were being pulled by dragons. And many demi-humans around.

'Primis: Third District.'

Subaru: I went through the town and kept on getting into one trouble after another. In the end, I entered an alley and was assaulted by three thugs. It's also when I saw this little girl, Felt, ran past me.

Primis: Wow. As a 'Protagonist', you must have given them a good beating and told them that it's not a good thing to steal from others.

[Pfft. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH. You are clearly mocking him. I am sure it's a revenge for calling you his sidekick.]

Primis didn't reply. Though an embarrassment expression appeared on Subaru face as he recalled how it was them who gave him the beating not the other way around.

Subaru: *cough* It's not a good thing to beat someone. But seeing their f-frustrated expression, I let them b-b-b-beat me. So, that they won't release their frustration by beating s-s-s-s-someone else.

[Yeah, right. How very magnificent of you.]

Celebi gave Subaru a blank look. It clearly saw how he was getting beaten and shouting for help that time.

Primis: Ohhh. You are Amazing.

Primis spoke in a neutral tone.

Subaru: O-Of course, I a-am.

Primis: And then.

Subaru: Witnessing my selfishness, an angel came.

Primis: Angel?

Subaru: Yup. An angel came and saved me.

Primis: Good for you. So, is there any name for this so-called 'Angel'.

Subaru: Satella.

Then Subaru turned and looked at Felt who was talking with Rom.

Subaru: Apparently, she stole something from Satella. It was a pendant. From Satella words, it's very important for her. She didn't want my help, but I wanted to be by her side and help that beautiful princess find her stolen pendant.

Primis: You said she was an 'Angel'.

Subaru: *cough* Don't stress over those little things.

Primis: Hmmm. That's what led you here.

Subaru: Correct.

After answering, he became silent and returned back to his thoughts. As if remembering about terrible experience before the reset.

Subaru: When I went inside, I saw those two dead. Just when I was about to turn back, my stomach was gutted as I fell on the ground. Satella came inside later and died instantly. I didn't see the person that killed me. Then I heard the noise of a door opening again and saw you coming inside. Even though I didn't see your face, some of the moonlight fell on your body and I saw the clothes you are wearing right now.

Primis: I see. You're right. It was me. I saw you on the floor begging for help.

Subaru: Y-Yeah. But when I thought I died, I woke up at the time I was trying to buy apple with my money of previous world.

Primis: Hm. I think this is your power.

Subaru: My power?

Primis: Yeah. I got a contracted spirit when I came to this world while you get the power of "Return by Death".

Subaru: "Return by Death". Huh. What a cool name. Still, if given a choice I would rather change positions with.

'Celebi: Not possible. I would rather accept my death than being your contracted spirit because let alone helping me in finding by friend Mew, you won't even be able to save my life.'

Primis: Ohhh. So, you are saying you prefer to be my 'sidekick' rather than be 'protagonist'.

Subaru: ......…

Subaru: Since that's the case, what about you then? How are you able to remember the details of the previous loop? I asked some questions from others, but they didn't know who I was.

Primis: We shouldn't affiliate ourselves in this situation. Let 'Satella' handle it herself----

Subaru: NO! We can't do that. Did I tell you she said it's important to her? I won't let her down.

Primis: Don't forget. She doesn't even know who you are right now.

Subaru: Once I return the pendant to her, she will thank me. And then I can go out with her.

[HAH!!! What makes him think someone can get a girl if you return their stolen goods?]

'Primis: His simple-mindedness.'

'Primis: True.'

Primis: What makes you think you can defeat the killer? Even the Rom who is a giant died by Killer's hand. On the other hand, you are just a normal human. Just forget about it.

Subaru: Nope, I won't do that. I will prove my worth to my Goddess.

Stopping here, he pointed his hands at Primis and said excited.

Subaru: Because I have my trustee sidekick. I am sure you can handle it.

Primis: ......…Why are you so confident in me?

Subaru: First, because you have a contracted spirit. Satella also has one. So, I can tell contracted spirits are vvery strong.

Then he moved and pointed his finger at Primis' right. Not at Celebi but at the handle of Gun Blade which Primis was keeping on his back.

Subaru: Second, is that sword. As an otak---- *cough* I mean someone who researched games and anime stuff, I can tell it's something called Gun Blade because I can saw a trigger on it. You won't be carrying it unless you know how to use it. That's the reason for my confidence.

[Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh. At least, his brain isn't as useless as he appeared.]

Primis shook his head hearing Subaru's words before opening his mouth.

Primis: Anyway, let's go with peaceful method first. Let's try to get the pendant from Felt through negotiations.

Subaru: Ok.

Seeing the happy expression on Subaru's face, Primis again shook his head before getting up from his chair and walked to Felt. He took his seat beside her near the bar while Subaru sat on his right. Felt and Rom also turned their attention to Primis and Subaru.

Primis: Let's get down to business. We want to buy the pendant that Subaru talked to you about.

Felt: Right on the point. Huh. Just like me.

Primis: So...…

Felt: Well, I stole the pendant because I was asked to. My client will pay 20 Sacred Gold coins for it. If you pay more than that then I will give it to you.

Subaru: We have no mone----

Primis: Fine.

Subaru: Huh?

Primis interrupted Subaru and put his hand in his pocket.

CHA-CHING!!!!

The sound of coins resounded as Primis took out and put 20-coins on the table.

Primis: This will suffice, right?

All three were looking at the coins with dumbfounded expressions. This was especially for the case for Subaru. Primis was attentively looking at Rom who snapped out of his thoughts.

Rom: Let me check.

Saying this Rom started counting the coins.

While he was doing that, Subaru called Primis. When Primis turned to look at him, he whispered.

Subaru: Just where do you get these many coins?

Primis: Let's just say I stole them from a layer of some bandits.

Subaru: Really?

Primis: Um.

Rom: Twenty. They are exactly 20 Sacred Gold coins.

Felt: Is that so. Then sure, I can do deal with you guys.

Subaru: All Right!!!!!

Hearing Felt, Subaru became overjoyed. Just when he was about to ask Felt to take out the pendant, Primis and Celebi turned and looked over at the door. There they saw someone entering the shop.

'Primis: Looks like your client is here, Felt.'
