Chapter – 95 (Aftermath (Part-3))

Everyone turns their gaze towards the owner of the voice. The person who said this is not among them but is where the Ishtar Tower fall. He is on his butt and is looking in front with trembling body. Finn frown when he saw him. Not because he knew him who he is but because this person is same as him a Pallum. But the reason Finn frown is when he saw his such coward behavior. Then Finn just shakes his head shows a disappoint look at him.

At this time, other Adventurers have approached that Pallum. But when they look what is in front, they also started to show unpleasant look. There are more bodies there but the reason they are feeling unpleasant is because these bodies are not of members of Ishtar Familia. Some of them are weaing Adventurer clothes, some are wearing merchants' clothes and some are wearing luxurious clothes. This proves that these bodies belong to other Adventurers who are not part of Ishtar Familia, Merchants and Nobles.

Well, they also found a body of Amazoness but it was just a single Amazoness so they ignore it. Loki and Hephaestus Familia also approached and saw this. They also started to show unpleasant expression. In truth, they were only become slightly shocked when they saw the bodies of other Adventurers and Merchants. The main reason why they are feeling unpleasant is because of bodies of Nobles. The position of Nobles is always higher than Adventurers and Merchants. So, they won't let this matter aside, no matter what.

Riveria started to rub her forehead with irritation. First, entire Entertainment District got covered in barrier. Then entire Ishtar Familia was massacred. Then a Goddess was sent back to heaven and now they even find the bodies of Nobles. Situation is becoming more and more complicated and worse.

Pallum: I-It must be "The Black Swordsman" doing. H-He will k-kill everyone, no m-matter who it will be.

BOOM!!!!

Pallum: Ah!!!!!

Bete: STOP SPOUTING BASELESS ACCUSION!!!!!

When the Pallum started to accused Primis for killing these Nobles, Bete stomped on the ground hard and arrived in front of that Pallum. Then he gave him a punch right on his face. Bete absolutely hates the weak and is not afraid to express his opinion on the matter. His attitude is particularly hostile towards them and he constantly reminds them of their inferiority. Most of the time he taunts them and is particularly adept at it, with his statements always hitting where it hurts the most. Rather than rubbing salt in an injury, his words are said to tear open new ones.

That's why he also taunts Bell in the plot. Although at first glance his displeasure seems to be the result of an extreme superiority complex, the truth is that his behavior is due to an intense desire to protect them. But his admiration of "The Black Swordsman" increased even further when he heard that the reason "The Black Swordsman" destroyed the entire Ishtar Familia because they hurt someone dear to him. He even put himself in "The Black Swordman" shoes and thought whether he have the courage to make himself the enemy of almost entire world when someone will hurt his loved ones. And the answer is no. Even if he will reach Level 9 one day, he still won't be able to do what he did.

All other members of Loki Familia become astonished when they saw this. They never thought that Bete will move forward to defend "The Black Swordsman". But they didn't rebuke him because they also thought that it was a baseless accusation without any evidence. The Pallum that was punched started to rub the place where he was punched. Then he started to argue.

Pallum: W-What do you mean by wrongly accused? "The Black Swordman" massacred the entire Ishtar Familia. He didn't even let their Goddess go. It's obvious that he is a cold-hearted and merciless murderer.

Bete: YOU-

Finn: Stop Bete.

Bete: ....

Bete become silent and back down. Once Bete back down, Finn turns his attention to this Pallum. In Honestly, he feels very disappointed when looking at him. He has already realized who this Pallum is. The Pallum has large, green round eyes. He has brown hair. Nobles hire this Pallum to take care of odd jobs. He is the member of Apollo Familia. Luan Espel. And since he works for nobles, it's obvious he will tell this information to Nobles and will take their side so that they will start to accuse "The Black Swordman" for the death of other Nobles.

Finn: Do you have any proof that it is "The Black Swordman" doing?

Luan Espel: P-Proof? Isn't massacre around enough proof?

Finn: No. It isn't a proof.

Luan Espel: It isn't?

Finn: We have a proof that "The Black Swordsman" himself massacred the entire Ishtar Familia. The proof is that, he himself declare it in front all those Adventurers who were present here at that time. Not only that he even massacred the Familia in front of those Adventurers.

Finn stopped here and turn his gaze at those Adventurers which were here and saw Primis deed.

Finn: I want to ask you all. Did any of you saw "The Black Swordsman" killing these men.

All of them started to shake their heads in denial. Seeing this Finn look back at Luan Espel.

Finn: I think this answer your question.

Luan Espel become silent started to think of some other way. Then he thought of something and said.

Luan Espel: No, I don't think so. Did you forget they were all thrown out of the Entertainment District? It's obvious that "The Black Swordman" throw them out so that they can't see him killing them.

This time those onlookers become silent and started to ponder. If they think like this then it is possible. Commotion started to appear in the crowd and they all started to become sacred thinking that "The Black Swordsman" will also kill them if he doesn't like them. But before the commotion could increase Riveria interrupts

Riveria: That's not possible.

This attracts everyone attention towards Riveria. When everyone was arguing with each other, Riveria has already arrived at the scene and started her investigation. After checking the bodies, she stands up and stated.

Riveria: I just checked and it appears that all these people were dead before "The Black Swordsman" even confront Ishtar Familia. And one more thing, none of them are killed by "The Black Swordsman". I can say that with certainty.

Riveria: Because the one killed them use dagger instead of Sword. Assassin Dagger to be more exact.

Finn: Assassin Dagger. Huh.

Luan Espel: "The Black Swordsman" must have used the dagger so that others won't find their way to him.

Riveria: That's not possible either. "The Black Swordman" is highly proficient in Swordmanship. Every Familia in Orario wants to become stronger by taking one of the highest positions. After the three strongest Familia i.e., Freya Familia, Loki Familia and Hephaestus Familia the next one on the line was Ishtar Familia.

But now that Ishtar Familia is no more, other Familia won't let this opportunity go. Still there is a hurdle in their way. And that hurdle is "The Black Swordsman". They need to eliminate "The Black Swordsman" if they want to obtain that position. But now that they knew the true might of "The Black Swordsman", it's impossible for them to kill him if their Familia makes move alone. So, the best way is to join with others Familia. And if they were able to prove that "The Black Swordsman" is responsible for killing these Nobles then even the other Nobles will start to put pressure on the Guild to put a stop to "The Black Swordsman".

That time with Guild, Nobles and Others Familia by their side, they think they can eliminate "The Black Swordsman". But as the saying go, even the corned rabbit resist in the end. So, it's obvious that "The Black Swordsman" will also resist and will kill many Adventurers who will came to him but in the end, he will lose the war of attrition and will die.

This will not only weaken other weak Familia but also gave the chance to others Strong Familia to rise. But too bad, his plan backfired. Now all other Familia will start to keep some distance from Apollo Familia. Well, it will be for time being though. Since many other Familia don't want to let this opportunity to rise go, they will try to contact each other and make the use of pretense that "The Black Swordsman" not only kill God but also Nobles, hence he needs to be eliminated in the Dinatus. Loki and Hephaestus Familia knew that but they are helpless to do anything here.

Finn: Anyway, let's search around some more to see if we can find anything and then let's return.

Everyone nodded and started their search again. But they didn't find anything else in the end. Hence, they all return back to report to their Familia. But what they don't know is that the entire Orario is in ruckus right now. Not because of the annihilation of Ishtar Familia but because of the disappearance of more than 17 Nobles lineages.

It's morning. Eina wakes up from her sleep, freshen herself and have a breakfast before leaving for her Guild work. Even though she has freshened up her mood is still not good since Primis didn't came to meet her yesterday. No. No. No. Not meet but report to her. Since Eina is Primis advisor he should report to her every day.

'Eina: *sigh* I wonder if he will come today. *sigh*'

Eina hurriedly tries to finish her breakfast because she felt that today's breakfast is bland. While she is doing this, an Assassin who is guarding her from shadow took a deep sigh. He is a Level 6 Assassin whose work is to guard Eina all the time. At first, he doesn't understand why he have to protect this civilian but when he meets with "The Black Swordsman", he became sacred shitless. When he met him for the first time, his instincts started to scream to not to go against him. So, he now knew that the reason he is guarding her is because she is very important to "The Black Swordsman".

'Assassin: How envious. I also wished that someone can protect my family from shadows when I am not with them.'
