Chapter – 163 (Determination)

After leaving Lili and Haruhime, Primis and others appeared in the sky while looking at Lili and Haruhime next course of action. Since Ais can't fly, Primis was hugging her waist with one hand like before while his other hand was playing with Iguazu he caught before. It was trying hard to freely itself from Primis grab but failed to do so. Primis had already read all its information a long time ago. So, he knew how it was made by dungeon and the purpose implanted in its mind. Then he squeezed his hand and killed it.

DISPERSE!!!

Now there's a magic stone in Primis hand. Once he put it into its inventory, Ais spoke.

Ais: My Lord, do you really think they can kill even a single monster here? They just became Adventurer few hours ago. I don't they even have 5% chances of success let alone 50%.

Primis showed a small smile before speaking.

Primis: Just wait and watch.

Ais showed a confused expression before nodding her head.

{Primis: What's your say on this?}

{Sheng Ming: I also agree with Little Sister Ais here. Their chances of killing even a single monster are less than 50%.}

{Primis: However, that will be on normal scenario.}

{Sheng Ming: Yes, in normal scenario. But the skills they possessed are not only high-level but also their understanding over them had already reached the limit of what their current body can handle.}

Sheng Ming: Littles Sister, you are right about them trying to find the location of monsters by hearing the sound they made. But the way they were doing it is completely different than it appeared to be.

Ais: Really?

Primis: Ais unlike you who have the skill of "Wind Manipulation" to control wind. Lili has "Earth Manipulation" to control earth while Haruhime has "Ice Manipulation" to control ice.

Sheng Ming: *nod* Little Sister, whenever someone walk, run, or step on the ground, our steps send vibrations into the ground. And this is the case of even monsters.

Primis: And as an Earth Manipulator, Lili can sense those vibrations and find the location of where those vibrations are coming from.

'Primis: Hmm. Her primary range is 30 meters. In that she can tell everyone's location perfectly and how many people and monsters are there too. Beyond 30 meters her range worked like a sonar.'

[Yeah. Beyond that she can only make a rough guess from where those vibrations are coming.]

Primis: Anyway, that's how it is.

Ais eyes opened wide hearing this. She never expected Lili to be doing this.

Sheng Ming: Some of the ways to prevent your location from being found out is by having extreme control over your strength like Husband, Eldest Sister Ophis, and Me. Whenever, we walk, or run we don't release any sort of vibration.

Primis: Another way is just like how we are flying right now. Since we are not touching the ground, we are not releasing any vibration.

Ais: Then what if we are standing on the wall or ceiling?

Sheng Ming: Even in that case vibrations are released. Though by the time they reach ground, they decrease a lot.

Primis: Once Lili's proficiency in her skill increases, she will be able to distinguish between the vibrations coming from the ground or by walls and ceilings.

Ais nodded again. Then she asked another question.

Ais: What about Haruhime? I don't think her ice magic can help her here.

Primis: Ais, haven't you realized that the air is a bit chilly.

Ais: Huh?

Ais then released a breath a cloud was made.

Ais: This is?

Primis: It's Haruhime's ice magic. She used it to create chilly atmosphere around.

Ais: Why?

Sheng Ming: Just like we said before. You can hide vibrations generated by you steps by flying in the air.

Primis: And current Lili can't find the one hiding in the ceiling. That's where Haruhime came.

Sheng Ming: There are many monsters who can fly and hide in ceiling in dungeon. So, finding their location is impossible by relying on it.

Primis: Ice is very sensitive to heat. And the heat radiated by monsters are higher than Humans. So, once this ice touched Monsters body or their breath, Haruhime can find their location because of heat sourse.

'Primis: Haruhime must have created his technique to find the location of Assassins in the last month. Since Assassins mostly hide in the ceiling, Lili's can't find them but this technique of Haruhime do that thing.'

[Indeed. No matter how much Assassins try to hide their breath, they still need to breathe even a little. And since Ice is sensitive to heat like you mentioned before, it will give in their location.]

'Primis: Even if they try to hold their breath to hide it, they can't hide their body temperature.'

[Agreed. The only to counter it, is by hiding in underground.]

'Primis: Yes. And unlike Lili, Haruhime doesn't have any primary range. That's why her icy atmosphere range is bigger.'

[Almost 100 meters.]

Primis nodded completely agreeing with Twilight.

Ais: Does this mean Haruhime know our location now?

Primis: Don't worry. She doesn't.

'Primis: With my control on ice magic being higher than Haruhime, I already took the control of her magic from her in the area where we are currently flying.'

Ais nodded but didn't ask how. She didn't feel like asking either. Then they saw how Lili and Haruhime found blue crabs and left to find other monsters. After not finding a lone monster, they separated a blue crab from its group to fight.

Primis: Wrong choice.

Sheng Ming: Yes. They should have chosen a different monster. Blue crab defense is just too strong for them to penetrate through.

Then they saw how Haruhime was hit by it and struck in the wall. Her injuries were very severe. Then Lili also joined in.

Ais: My Lord, how a normal dagger in Lili's hand was able to penetrate in blue crab body?

Primis: Earth magic provide you weight and power. You're right that it's impossible for a normal dagger to penetrate the body of blue crab since it's metal-type monster. In normal case scenario, the dagger would have broken. But Lili increase used her Earth magic to increase its hardness as much as she can. Because of that it didn't break when it touched the metal body of blue crab. Then she increased its power and increased her own power to thrust. That's how she was able to penetrate its body with the help of normal dagger.

Ais: Amazing.

'Ais: To think she can use her Earth magic to do different things simultaneously. And that Haruhime, her movements are very nimble. That's why she was able to barely dodge blue crab again almost every time while still being a rookie Level 1 Adventurer.'

Primis: Unlike Lili, Haruhime Ice magic increased the sharpness and decrease the opponent speed. Like how her fan is coated with ice magic which increased its sharpness further.

Then......

Haruhime: ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haruhime painful scream resounded all around as her arm was severed of her shoulder.

BANG!!

Haruhime: AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haruhime screamed again when she hit the wall and the bones in her body and tail broke.

Ais: MY LORD, WE NEED TO HELP HER OTHERWISE SHE WILL DIE.

Primis: No.

Ais: But My Lord----

Primis: No.

This time Primis said with a stern voice as his blood-red eyes pierced through Ais very soul as the 3-tomoes kept on rotating. Ais shivered and became silent. Her gaze turned back to Lili and Haruhime battlefield again. Primis, Ophis, and Sheng Ming were also looking at them.

BANG!!

Lili: AH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lili scream sounded this time as she was also plastered in the wall too. Both were covered in blood head-to-toe. They were barely alive and trying their best to not lose conscious. Ais clenched her fist seeing this. She really wanted to help them, but she can't because Primis won't let her. Ais turned to Primis again while speaking in begging tone this time.

Ais: M-My Lord. We m-must help them, or t-they will die.

After seeing the way Lili and Haruhime control over their power, how they fight, and so on. Ais already looked at them as someone on equal footing. And since Primis was training them, it obviously they will also become his swords and Ais comrades in future. She just can't barely to see her fellow comrades to die like this.

Sheng Ming: Little Sister, calm down and look into their eyes. Do those eyes look like of someone who gave up?

Ais: ......…

Ais turned her gaze back at them. Then her eyes opened wide. Even at the end, the determination and will in Lili and Haruhime eyes didn't diminish one bit. On the contrary, it had increased.

'Primis: When situation like this occur, mostly people gave up fighting and decided to accept their fate. But only with the willpower and determination of not giving up and kept on trying, can you go further in your journey. Otherwise, even if someone save you, that helplessness will become a trauma and you won't be able to go on.'

The next scene shocked Ais even more. She still can't understand how Haruhime gained the strength to move and point her remaining right hand towards the blue crab before releasing one more shard of ice. The shard then struck the blue crab. Blue crab as if enraged turned and rushed at Haruhime which didn't have any strength left.

'Ais: Oh no...…'

Just when Ais thought its over for Haruhime, Lili also raised one of her hands and used her remaining magic to create and throw a stone. The stone moved fast and struck the ice shard embedded in the blue crab with force. Then blue crab stopped all its movements before dispersing into dust and leaving a magic stone behind.

DING!!

Ais looked at Lili and Haruhime with awe expression. She had never expected this outcome even in her dream. To think someone who barely became Adventurer killed a blue crab which was almost Level 3. No one will believe this. Even she needed to rub her eyes a few times before finally believing that it's not a dream but reality.

Primis and Sheng Ming showed a smile while even Ophis nodded her head seeing the determination showed by them to the very end. Then they disappeared and appeared where Lili and Haruhime were.

Primis: Well done.
