Inner Desire

"What is my inner desire?"

"No. What was your inner desire. You only know it. It was your inner desire before but because of that desire, it formed an image then materialized to become your ability. So what was your inner desire?"

"I don't have any desires nor hidden one. I only want to succeed in life. You said that you saw my ability. What was my ability?"

"An ability cannot be learned through others. If it was done unconciously it means it's powerful enough to materialize on its own. Sometimes, 'it' have its own restriction for example you're ability. It has it's own restriction sometimes it needs for it's ability user to know it on his own, unravel it with their abilities. For example, my ability is about time. On my first year here only I could do was make everyone slower the only exception was me. The only restriction of my ability is it also uses my lifespan. I would die earlier. So let's go back to your ability. What was your inner desire before coming here?"

"I don't understand. How do I know that I got one?"

"Haven't you been transferred on a white space? Seeing an orb in the middle of nowhere? Fighting a monster of your own desire."

"I do remember being in one of those but after I ate the orb of light all I remember was me waking up on a dream."

"A dream? As long as I can remember there's no such thing as like that. We were transferred directly on that space. Where we disappered on Earth was where we took that test. Fighting your desire. But if you failed, you will disappear forever without a trace." Elina said whispering the last part looking at the moon. The breeze was cold yet warm. They stood there for a moment having their own thoughts. No one said and moved to get back on the cabin.

"How many years were you here?" Rain broke out the silence by asking Elina a question that's bothering him. He needed to go back to Earth as fast as possible. He knew that Elina was missing for four years. But maybe, it was different here. Maybe, the time here flowed slower than Earth that's why they were still here.

"16 years passed here. 4 years here equals to 1 to Earth. We already tried to go back but we can't. Unless, we sealed all the tower that needed to conquer."

"Tower? Then how many towers do we have to conquer?"

"19 towers here and 20 on demon world. We only conquered 1. We were stagnant. People change. I am the only one who wished to go back." Elina said smiling sadly at his soon to be disciple.

Rain knew what was pulling his heart. Maybe, Elina was like her. She needed someone to save her. Maybe, fate was the one who let them met not luck. So he added a promise from that day on. He would save Elina but first he have to know what was with his dreams.

"You should sleep first. I would be here when you woke up. Time is on my side so I don't need to sleep. Take a rest first and tomorrow I will help you grow. Abilities were not the only thing that we received. We also received a boost on our physical prowess. So sleep early and I will train you tomorrow." Elina said before walking out of his sight.

There were a lot to take in but if he really want to be back on Earth as early as possible he needed to be stronger. Strong enough to conquer the tower that Elina or her master said earlier. He hoped that it wouldn't take too long for him to train.

What bothered him the most were his dreams. Elina said that after they disappeared on Earth they appeared on the white space but he was different. He did come on the white space before he fell but he experienced it 8 times. 7 times on his dreams and the last one was when he was concious of it yet he wasn't. All he remembered was... the white space before he fell. But maybe as what Elina said, he was unconcious of it or his ability has it's own conciousness.

"I need to remember what was on my dream." he mused before entering the cabin. He dreamt that night again.

At the same time there was a woman who looked like a witch looking at a man who was full of injuries. She watched the man fighting a lot of lizards protecting a young boy and he was doing a good job of it. They were near the border of the tower of Tower of Agony and Osmund City. The closer to tower the lizards were they were stronger. He would have a bright future she mused. She only watched until the man succesfully defeated the lizard making them retreat... or maybe they saw her.

"Well, it was such a loss if he died." she said descending from where she was. She saw the man saying something to the boy before she saw him collapsed.

Just before she fully descended she could feel some powerful force telling her not to come forward.

She smiled. She never knew how lucky she was until she felt the power. She knew what power it was. She has one thing running on her mind right now. She need to save the man first and later she would unravel how strong the man was.

"I don't want to fight. I only want to save him." she said stopping a few meters away above them.

"After what you've done? You only watched him risking his life to save me." the boy said sneering at the woman who looked like a witch, both bewitching and powerful.

"You're one to talk beast. You let the young man fought just so you could test him. It is such a shame if he died here. You could come if you wanted to. I could sneak you in without being noticed by anyone." she would like to take the beast as her summon but she knew the beast belonged now to the young man. "I would train him. So he could properly handle you. He was still a beginner but we both know that he has a promising future, don't you agree?"

The beast could do nothing at all. He wanted to save the man but he didn't have any healing powers. He was made to destroy not to save. He looked at the man and felt it. He was the one he was waiting for... his king.
