By the time Hade finally recovered enough energy to hobble out of the dojo on one leg, it was already dark out.

Although he did not get to see Varis again, according to Verner, the second year had only suffered a minor head injury at most and would probably be back to peak condition in no time.

Looking down at his crudely bandaged ankle, Hade wished that he could say the same about himself.

Given the ban placed on going to the Magic lab ever since the Rozar-Dorian incident, he would have to make do with infirmary-level treatment, and given the circumstances, who knew how long it would take before his leg healed completely?

There was also the matter of the matron lady with the fiery tongue. If Hade had known that he would be meeting her again so soon, he would've tried to leave a better impression.

Sadly, that was now all water under the bridge. There was nothing to be gained in fussing over it so instead, Hade chose to focus on the positives.
