43 End of the Competition (II)

Hade and Iolana walked in complete silence as they made their way back from the training ground to the dormitories.

The hallways were brightly illuminated by electricity-powered torches that shone on the tall ceiling. This was one of the few instances when the inferior energy source was chosen over magic.

Since the magic combat class competition had come to an abrupt and unexpected end, all students had been instructed to return to their dorm rooms.

Naomi and Aliandra, who also happened to share the same dorm, had already separated from the duo a while back.

Despite Professor Miller's clear dissuasion on the matter, they decided to go and try to find out more about what happened to Rozar and Dorian.

Hade had not tried to discourage them because, in a way, he understood how they felt. Although the girls pretended like they did not care much about the boys, while it was true to a certain extent, they were still very much concerned about their welfare.
