Eight months later

"Yeah mom, don't worry about me... Yes, I had breakfast today," Lucas rolled his eyes, "I'm heading back to my room now... No, it's okay... Go ahead... Love you too... Bye!"

He pocketed his phone and fished out his keys once he stopped outside his dorm room. He was soon met with the familiar sight of his roommate, Julian, sitting on his bed, ear buds shoved deep into his ears and his laptop on his lap.

"Hey," Lucas greeted shortly, earning an uncaring "Sup," back from the other male. He took off his sweat-stained clothes before grabbing a towel and making his way into the bathroom to take a hot shower. He was out a good twenty minutes later with only a towel wrapped around his waist as he began to pick out clothes to wear.

"Hey, so tomorrow’s like your one year anniversary with Eli, right?" Julian suddenly asked, taking off his headphones.

"I'm surprised you remembered," Lucas said, impressed.
