CHAPTER - 9 { Other S-Class Heroes }

I returned back to my room after I exterminated the entire ant army using a new ability I found.

Teleportation.

Before I tried but couldn't use it so I thought that it was not included in my abilities but today somehow I used it in my berserker-like state.

Was it always in me?

"I should try again to find out more about this body. Damn it, if only his memories were clear enough!"

I cursed and sat down on the edge of the bed. Whatever, I am fortunate to learn teleportation.

Now I could save a lot of time instead of traveling across different cities and locations with vehicles.

I thought about my battle with the giant ants. I lost my calm and went berserk at the end. Fortunately no humans died.

Right?

I signed.

"He must be Darkshine."

The muscular man with dark complexion should be Superalloy Darkshine, S-Class Rank 9 hero.

"Hm. When will they invite King? I can't wait to see him in person."

It was definitely getting interesting.

A few hours later.

I was called in a meeting room by the staff members for the reports of City W and they also wanted to discuss something.

While on my way to the meeting room, I came across Darkshine.

"Oh, Thor. This is our official meeting! I am Darkshine! Nice to meet you."

"My name is Thor. Nice to meet you too."

We shook hands before moving on. Darkshine was very friendly and nice. He didn't care about our status as S-Class heroes.

Soon we came before an automatic door. When we entered, there were more people than I thought.

No, actually. All the S-Class heroes and staff members were present except two. Blast and Zombieman.

"Sir Thor. Darkshine. Please sit down."

Sekingar greeted us with a smile. I nodded and took the empty seat between Tatsumaki and Metal Knight.

As I sat down, I felt the gazes on me. Mostly from the other S-Class heroes.

"So that everyone's here, I will report the condition of City W."

Sekingar held the tablet and put it on the long table. Now I knew that the main focus in this report would be me.

Well, I did cause a lot of destruction.

"The giant ant army and the ant queen which was a threat level- Demon, was dealt with by sir Thor. Though the destruction was a bit… much. I hope sir Thor keeps it to a minimum next time."

He expressed his gratitude to me but all I knew was him asking me to not destroy properties.

"I will note that."

I replied with a straight face.

"City W needs reconstruction which we estimate would take a year. Other than this, the casualties were below 100. Two C-Class and one B-Class died. We talked to the media and had the news about sir Thor's overwhelming victory. This is it about City W."

Sekingar concluded his reports and sat down on his chair. Next, another individual stood up.

Sitch, the Minister Officer of Justice for the Hero Association.

"You all are our S-Class heroes. Rank is not important, but your role is."

I immediately shut my ears and stopped listening. It was definitely nonsense and not something important.

"Hey. Are you really from another world?"

I heard a soft voice talk to me. From the corner of my eye, I saw that it was Tatsumaki.

She was a petite woman, commonly mistaken for being much younger than she really was. She had an adolescent face with emerald green eyes, and matching green hair that naturally curled up on the ends.

"Don't ignore me!"

"Yes, I am not from here."

"Is it?"

She crossed her arms over her chest and muttered in an inaudible voice, which I could hear because of my super senses.

"And you?"

I asked. Since it was my first time meeting her and no one told me about all the S-Class heroes, I decided to act like I didn't know anything.

"I am from here. Always have been."

She sounded sad for some reason. Was it due to the fact that she was experimented on by scientists.

I didn't want to provoke or upset a monstrous hero who could use psychokinesis and was the most powerful esper shown in the series.

"I see."

I then closed my mouth. The meeting lasted for some time.

CLANK!

The automatic door slid open and I stepped out of the meeting room with an emotionless face.

I was expecting something big to happen or a big mission. Unfortunately there was no such event.

"Thor, I heard you're thousands of years old. Is it true?"

"Yes."

"Wow! You are more like an ancient being!"

Darkshine exclaimed in surprise. Silver Fang and Atomic Samurai came out after us.

"Thor, right? I am Bang. Nice to meet you. I heard that you are very strong. Do you want to try some martial arts?"

"Bang, are you still trying to recruit students?"

Bang and Atomic Samurai introduced themselves. I did the same with just my name unlike how they said their speciality.

Marital Arts and Blades.

Wait, was Garou still part of Bang's dojo?

If I went there and did a little work, would the future divert to another direction? Then probably Garou wouldn't become a monster.

I wouldn't want that to happen. It was not interesting at all.

"I am Watchdog Man."

I lowered my head and looked at the man in a dog's costume. He was well behaved and trained like a real dog.

"I am Thor."

I responded. It was a very short introduction. Watchdog Man then walked away.

"He's a bit weird."

Darkshine commented. Bang nodded but said nothing.

In the corridor, we were having a conversation about heroes and monsters when I felt someone approach me from the back.

"Name's Tatsumaki. I hope you all are worthy of being in S-Class."

Tatsumaki had a rather brash, moody, hotheaded, and impatient personality.

She stared at me and Darkshine since we were the new heroes in S-Class, and she found that both of us were far taller than her.

Subconsciously, her figure hovered higher till her head was slightly above ours.

"Let's work hard, Tatsumaki! Haya!"

Darkshine clenched his fingers into tight fists and showed his body full of metal like muscles.

"Nice!"

Bang gave a thumbs up to him. Tatsumaki flew off without giving a second look to Darkshine wanting to forget his existence.

"Haha! She was stunned by my beautiful muscles!"

Somewhere in City M, a disasterous battle had just finished. All the people and heroes came out of hiding.

Multiple residential buildings had been wiped out and nothing remained.

There on the uneven ground was a huge red skinned dragon's corpse. Brutally beaten to its death.

And nest to it stood a tall, lean man with light tan skin, blue eyes, and shoulder-length slicked-back blonde hair combed down to the nape of his neck.

His most notable physical feature was the set of three vertical scars over his left eye.

A few splashes of green blood was on his casual clothes and his face, it was without any hint of empathy.

"H-He beat it?"

"Crazy! He killed a threat level- Demon just like that?"

"Isn't he the same guy who killed many strong monsters singlehandedly?"

"So strong! He doesn't even looks tired!"

The man shifted his eyes from the corpse to the people. His thoughts were unknown.

"... This again."
