Chapter 28

“Felix? Are we…I mean…is this too fast? I’ve never…” How did he tell Felix he’d never slept with a man he cared so much about? It had always been about getting off. His needs. His wants. He’d wanted to show the guys a good time, but that was it. There was no connection between them. But now for the first time in his life, he wanted to connect, to show this man how important he was to Jules. To cherish him.

Felix’s eyes softened. “I wantto be with you.” He offered Jules a small smile. “More than anything in this world.”

Jules blinked back unexpected tears as he swallowed the lump in his throat. He followed Felix into the loft bedroom, feeling slightly awkward. This was unlike any moment he’d had with a man and nerves rattled him.

Felix sat on the edge of his bed, patting the quilt next to him.

Jules sat, huffing out a breath. “This is ridiculous. I don’t know what’s wrong with me.”
