Chapter 1: Mr. Matchmaker

"Whew.. Im finally finished with this novel! All I need to do is to send it to my senior then i'm done!" Ain cheered with joy after completing his novel. But before he could rest, he meticulously examined his written novel one last time before he sent it to his senior. Afterwards, he leaned on his chair and exhaled heavily.

"Im so tired after hours and hours of proofreading this through, hays.. I should give myself a good relaxation as a reward for my hard work." Ain stood up from his chair and went towards his bed, he laid down flat on his bed full of pillows. His eyes slowly fluttered as his vision got blurry with each second then began to drift asleep.

After his long, peaceful slumber, Ain woke up from the sounds of birds chirping and the rustling of trees from the breezy wind.

He gradually opened his eyes, and from his view, he saw a window beside his desk, which showed a greeny and refreshing view from the outside.

Wait, desk? I thought I was in bed?

My eyes suddenly lit up from the sudden suprise, and turns out, I was in an unfamiliar place. I looked around my surroundings trying to confirm if I really was in another area, and surely enough, I was.

'What the.. why am I in school? I thought my class ended hours ago? And what school even is this? How did I get here???'

Ain had too many questions filling up his head. But before he could open his mouth, a blue window appeared right infront of him.

[ Hello!! ^^ ♡ ]

Ain frowned at the gentle greeting of the system, now realizing the situation.

"Let me guess, I got transmigrated into my novel, and in order to go back into my real world, I must complete a task. Is that correct?"

The system suddenly glitched at Ain's on point response, then replied:

[ Bull's eye! You are very smart! :O ]

Of course, Ain already knows the situation he is given, as he is a novelist and a reader after all. Scenarios like these can be usually read in novels, including the ones that he wrote.

"Now that it's confirmed, may I know whose body am I in? And another thing, what's my main mission?" Ain asked, still feeling a bit drowsy. He looked like he would knock out anytime soon, but he chose to stay awake so he could figure out this entire system thing.

2. Help the main couple's relationship progress. ]

Ain was dumbfounded and stared at the blinding blue window for a few minutes, then gave the system a sarcastic bright smile. "I hope that your pillow's temperature will be stifling hot tonight to the point that you will feel suffocated."

[ Huh!?!? You are a meanie! :( ]

"You just realized that? Anyhoo, this body i'm in is named Cale right? As much as I remember, I think he was.. oh yea, he was a side character of the novel I wrote."

The handsome figure, namely Cale, is one of the side characters of the novel "Forever".

Cale had a prince-like appearance, even his demeanor seemed suitable for a prince. He has yellow hair that matches with the color of a sunflower, making him appear as a seemingly bright person. He also has deep blue eyes, enhancing his face card. His skin complexion is quite pale, closely similar to a vampire's, you would mistake his looks for an elegant woman. Most importantly, his way of talking is quite gentle and formal. All these features of his makes him stand out in the public quite a lot.

He was Leia's first childhood friend, and always had his mind wander around the thought of Leia 24/7. During highschool, he planned on confessing his long-time feelings for her, and decided to talk to her during lunch break.

He walked around the hallway to look for Leia, and finally found her after minutes of searching. At first, he wanted to suprise her with the bouqet of flowers that he bought, as butterflies fluttered inside his stomach. He tried to reach out to her, when suddenly, a man pulled her into a tight and warm embrace, and gave her a kiss on the forehead. Leia doesn't have any siblings, and if she did, they would never act so close to her like that.

In summary, it was a whole confession from Elvis.

Cale saw this shocking scene, and the bouqet fell from his grip. The two students didn't notice his presence, and he used the chance to run away, droplets of tears dripping from his cheeks. He never felt this unhappy before, and from then on, he distanced himself from Leia, so as to give himself some space to think.

One day, his mother informed him that they were moving to America, since his father was there.

And so, he wanted to make use of this opportunity to live a new chapter of his life, and to move on from his one-sided, lingering feelings for Leia. But it was difficult for him, cause who could ever move on instantly after loving someone for almost your entire life? It's like letting go of a precious, sentimental keeping from someone special who gave it to you.

'Man, this guy sure got punched to the face instantly before he even got to confess.. if I were Leia, I would 10 out of 10 date this guy! He's a looker, smart guy, and a tender person at that! I would definitely give this guy a chance!' Ain exclaimed, and then the next second, he lamented over Cale's saddening rejection from Leia. It wasn't entirely a rejection from Leia, but rather a rejection from the universe.

[ You really like Cale on that level? ;) ]

'No, i'm not gay you damn system. I'm just sad that he got rejected, and I feel bad for him. Consider my words as a way of consoling him.' Ain felt a vein appear on his temples, his blood boiling at the system's utterly ridiculous assumption.

'Secondly, why would Elvis give Leia kisses in a public place anyway!?!?! That's quite scandalous for someone attractive like him' Ain continuously complained inside his head. But he then quickly composed himself and asked another question to the blue square "By the way, am I in the time where Elvis has not realized his feelings for Leia yet?"

[ Mhm, mhm! :D ]

"Huh.. okay, then I suppose this will be a piece of cake for me." Ain sighed in relief, hoping that the plan could be executed quickly.

[ System will leave now, if you have questions, just say the word "system" ! ;D ]

"Mhm, sure sure. Goodbye." Ain quickly dismissed the system, looking forward to its absence.

After several seconds, the system started to glitch then disappeared into thin air.

"Aiya.. what a tiring job.."
