2 2. Goals and Godhood

I realised after stepping out of the crater that I was as naked as the day I was born. And yes even my manhood benefitted from my demi-God physique...

On my left pec I saw something though. There was a little tattooed version of me that was waving at me. Even though no words were spoken I understood it though.

It was just like a sliver of my own consciousness took form as a small tat.

'I see. Right now I haven't done anything worthy enough to show up as a tattoo, so there's only the mini me that has appeared. If I do something legendary, a tattooed depiction of that feat should appear, right?'

I walked around the island, as I pondered everything about my situation.

It all almost just felt like a dream, but the feeling of warm sand below my feet or the salty sea wind blowing my dark locks was just too real.

There wasn't any other life of this small island, nor any sources of fresh water. But I didn't feel too worried about dying of starvation or dehydration. After all Maui was on his island for a very long time, and didn't die. He was immortal so he didn't actually need to eat or drink. Now I am the same.

But still I wanted to eat. Something tasty would go a long way to increase my happiness levels.

*Sigh*

I sat down on a rock and stared into the horizon. I didn't know what to do now. All of this was very sudden and left me clueless with how to proceed.

'I'm in the world of One Piece, the world where strength basically decided everything. I don't really know how strong I am currently and even if I did, I don't know what path to even pursue.'

I made a primitive grass skirt to at least keep some modesty for myself as I thought about things.

Several hours passed and while I had many great ideas, many of which were taken from fanfiction I had read. However without knowing where or even when I was in the One Piece story, all my ideas were vague.

The sun had begun to set, so I made a camp fire out of the dry driftwood I found.

As the moon started to rise, I remembered my ability, Moon God's Miricle.

'What should I try and wish for. It can only be a minor wish and if what I ask for exceeds the abilities power, then the wish will fail...

This little island I am on feels a little lonely. It wouldnt be bad to have a companion. One with potential and would help me in this world.'

I wasn't sure if living things could be be wished for since the goddess said it can create items.

But I had an idea and decided to try it. If it failed then I would just have to try again a week later. Which would suck but wasn't the end of the world.

I stood up and walked over to a clear flat area. The sun had already set and the moon was the only thing left in the sky.

"Alright, here I go." I looked at the moon and moved my hands into a prayer position.

"I wish... for a Magikarp egg."

People might ask, why a Magikarp egg? Why not try a stronger pokemon egg or even a pokeball containing a Gyarados?

Well, the answer is, because I want to raise it into a Gyarados on my own. And a Gyarados looks like the sea kings in the One Piece world.

I also figured asking for a egg would count as an item, and a Magikarp itself is not that powerful so the wish won't be likely to fail due to asking for too much.

I still don't know the limits of this ability, but it looks like my wish was accepted.

The moon seemed to glow bright in the sky above me and small moon beam hit the ground in front of me.

I watched with excitement as a flash of light appeared and an object began to form.

When the light faded, a wide smile appeared on my face as I reached down to pick up a red egg that had yellow spots on it.

"It worked!" I did a fist pump in my excitement and then went back to my cave.

'Now how was I supposed to hatch this thing? And what do I feed it?'

I placed the egg on a grass nest that I quickly put together. I then laid down next to it and decided to get some sleep. I figured, I'd explore more of my power the next day and even prepare a place for Magikarp to stay in case it hatched soon.

...

The next day, I woke up and stretched my limbs. There were a few things, I had wanted to do.

The first was to make a pool for Magikarp to live in after it hatches, so I walked out to the crater that I had created upon my arrival. It was about 8 meters deep and about 10 meters across.

"That should be big enough for now." I didn't need to dig the crater any further but needed to fill it.

Using my hands to dig a low channel to the sea was easy with my current strength. When high tide comes in, it will bring fresh sea water to fill the crater, turning it into a pool.

When I was finished, i decided to work on the second thing, which was get a grasp on my abilities and test how strong I truly was.

I didn't believe I had the strength to pull an island from the sea like the mythical Maui, but I was definitely brimming with power I could only dream of in my last life.

I started by lifting the boulders on the island. Out of all of them there wasn't a single one I could not lift. The largest of them put some strain on my muscles since it was the size of a small house, but I lifted it none the less.

I tested my vertical jump and found the apex of my jump was about 30 meters high. It was very impressive compared to the paltry 1 meter high jump I could do as a normal human.

I tried to compare myself to the characters I had seen in One Piece and thought maybe I was as strong as a rear admiral? With a godly physique I had untold potential so I wasn't worried about being too weak.

A little training and maybe learning Haki, I would potentially become a monster.

My next concern was my goal. I didn't know what I wanted to do still and felt lost. I didn't want to get stronger simply for the sake of gaining power nor did I particularly want to rule over anyone.

'I... don't know what I want...'

Power? Wealth? Women? All of these things are enticing in their own way.

Maybe becoming a ruler of some sort actually wouldnt be so bad. Or maybe being worshipped as a God?

I am a demi-god after all and the goddess did say I could ascend to full godhood after generating faith.

'So I get people to worship me, and eventually I would become a full fledged God?'

The thought started to excite me. Godhood is a new frontier for me. What kind of fun things can a God do?

As my thoughts and emotions churned within me this new aspiration took hold.

To become a god.

I looked down at Maui jr., the tattoo of myself.

"He looks lonely being on a blank canvas. Guess I'll have to do some great things soon so he is not so alone. I just wonder how epic my feats need to be to end up inked on my body. Maybe something great enough that people put their faith in me?

I need to find out more about the current state of this world. Then I can act accordingly..."
