Chapter 32 - Overhauler Overhaul!

It's a marvelous day outside, exactly eight o'clock in the morning. Both Eri and Overhaul were not home as they went outside, committing their own respective things. Eri goes to school aside, nobody knows what Overhaul's doing.

As for Mai, who's presently wearing a full-on maid uniform. She picks up a bag of potato chips from the refrigerator, before relaxingly sits down on the sofa and turns on the television. Her pair of lovely eyes shone as they reflected the light that came from the screen.

Huh? Why did she wear a maid uniform? That's because she strived to settle in Eri's place, and Overhaul stated that she must do some labor if she expected to do that. So she's now become one of the maids in this large house. The godly tasted meal and the super-duper fluffy bed were just too tempting for her to refuse.

...

Nevermind, scratch all the things stated above. Mai did that mainly because the maid uniform was cute as heck, and she just realized it at that time. Of course, she wouldn't be going to stay here forever. She merely planned to accomplish it until the USJ incident had ended.

Anyway, as for why she's currently watching television and not doing her maid work, *ahem!* she's not really sure about that herself *ahem!*. However, she does know that other servants dubbed her as an incompetent and lazy person.

'I'm not lazy though...' Thought Mai to herself as she sluggishly uses the remote control to switch from channels to channels while unwrapping the bag of snacks that she holds in her hand.

Nonetheless, it's been more than a month since she started living here. The new school semester just commenced 3 days ago. Eri has been going there to study since then. Additionally, from what she had learned, the school that Eri went into was bought by Overhaul just before the new semester began. He's filthy rich, alright. Mai still couldn't understand how he came to be like that.

What Mai didn't know, is that there's actually a story behind it, with she herself prevailing as the main reason for it to happen...

At that time in the past, all the collaborators that attended to dealing drugs with Chisaki were from other gangs, so he went back to his base alone after 'the incident' happened.

After he lost his arms, Chisaki got found out by his boss even when he tried to somehow hide his injury. The yakuza boss felt sympathy that someone who has a bright future as him became like that. He thus confidentially sold one of his kidneys to fetch Chisaki a pair of prosthetic arms.

Later on, after receiving his fake arms without knowing how the yakuza boss obtained them, Chisaki's resolve on making this yakuza organization reach its former glory abruptly increased once more.

His hate toward the heroes also broadened to another level. Because of their rise and prominence in the past, particularly All Might, many yakuza organizations started crumbling down, including theirs. The remnants who were not arrested were forced to live under constant surveillance.

He then found something which could ruin the hero's society that he hated without committing any villainous act, as he still has PTSD from doing it. That something is money.

So he studied hard on how to make cash the fastest, for years. But then, something terrible occurred. The yakuza boss abruptly died out of a kidney problem. Nobody understands how it transpired. Chisaki was very aggrieved and didn't know what he was supposed to do following that tragedy.

The next successor of the yakuza gang was supposed to be the previous boss' son, but Chisaki denied that from ever happening as he recognized that the boss' son didn't have any feasible ruling skill, and not only that, the man also had a tyrannical and corrupted personality. So he railed others and made a faction to fight the boss' son's faction.

It was a tough political battle, but the boss' son accidentally died in the hand of his own daughter who had just awakened her quirk, Eri. After that, many members acknowledged Chisaki as the new leader because Eri was still a small child.

With his authority as a boss, the first thing Chisaki did was to put all the yakuza's assets for use in the stock market. He has been studying this trend for a long time. Additionally, he saw a big opportunity currently in that area which hasn't been noticed by many people.

And so, with his intelligent mind, Chisaki overhauled so much wealth and became a bigshot in a matter of months. That's how he was known in higher society as Overhaul, The Symbol of Stonk.

Of course, he knew that over-relying on the stock market is a bad habit. That's the reason why he grows out some business and recruits some trusted and talented people from inside, or even outside of the yakuza organization, to manage them.

Now that he has already become rich and mature, he doesn't tend to his past-self hate toward heroes anymore. All he cares about is to make the current yakuza group that he ruled reaches its pinnacle, and then, later on, pass it down to Eri, the supposed crown princess.

That's also the reason why he's currently, in the present, gazing at Eri who was in school from afar with a telescope. With his personal assistant, who just constantly sighed as he looked at what his leader's doing.

"Boss, I think you really need to proceed with your worksheets right now! It has been overly stacked..." The assistant confessed to Overhaul, a little bit desperate.

"Haven't I explained to you before? I resigned just for this one week only to see Eri's first week at school! What else is more important than that? I'll work double as hard after this done!" Stressed out overhaul with aggravation.

"That's not the problem here, Boss! It's the deadli-" The assistant wanted to argue some more, but his word got held on his tongue.

"Shhhhh!!! There's a brat who clearly wants to get close to my cute Eri!" Overhaul then instantly operated the telescope to zoomed-in toward the kid's face and make sure to memorize him well. "Boy, omae wa mou shindeiru!"

'Why am I still here... just to suffer...' The assistant didn't know what to say anymore.

Anyway, back to Mai. As she kept on changing channels, she eventually found the one where they were streaming in front of U.A. high school.

"Finally..." Mai emotionlessly mumbled. She had been doing this for days now. Um... three days to be exact, if today was also counted. Not literally.

Even though Mai easily forgot people's names, the same couldn't be said to events. Especially the important ones, such as the USJ incident, which was her most favorite arc in the MHA story. Effortlessly overthrowing all other arcs that came prior, or after it. With the fight between All Might and The Bioengineered Bird Ogre standing as the climax portion of the show.

From the television, she could observe and hear many reporters who were shouting angrily at the U.A. high school, declaring it as arrogant and rude for sealing its entrance gate and not allowing them to catch a glimpse of All Might, the number one hero, who was rumored to be teaching there starting this year.

Suddenly, she could discern that the gate abruptly perished as it turns into small particles. All the reporters in the location were ecstatic. They speculated that the school has somehow decided to let them in. So they all barge inside like a wave of tsunami, making the school emergency alarm goes off.

'So it's coming near, huh...?' Mai reckoned to herself. The one who turned the school gate into dust was a villain. He wanted to seize some information from the school, by utilizing the chaos created by the group of reporters that he bring in.

The villain has a group, and their goal was to kill the number one hero, All Might. The next event that would happen after this, is the USJ incident, in which they would ambush the place where All Might was supposed to train some students with the information that they've got.

Mai was pretty excited and couldn't wait for it to ensue. Additionally, she has already decided on what items she preferred to buy from the system store, even though one of them was kind of a waste, but she didn't care. However, she just hasn't bought them yet.

Regardless, now that Mai already got the news she needed, she thus switches the channel into something else, and eventually stops at a particular one. It was currently aired an anime titled <Burrito, Boruto's long lost daughter!>

Mai recognized this anime. The story was about a girl named Burrito, the daughter of a veteran ninja Boruto, whose her mom's current whereabouts were unknown, as, in the past, she went out to buy some milk, but hasn't come back yet.

The story was full of comedy, and the system was quite fond of it. Yeah, Mai only watches the show because of the system. She considered this show to be average. Though that in itself was already good enough for some people.

As they continued to follow the show, an ecchi scene appears in it, where the female protagonist accidentally fell, and her face plunges into one of her male friend's crotch. At the same time, the door of the room that Mai's currently in was suddenly opened.

"Are you win-" The middle-aged woman who said that, halted her question, as she gawks at the view of Mai watching indecent stuff on TV. She was the head maid of the whole house. Not only that, but she was also the only servant who was quite fond of Mai, even with all of her antics.

Mai instantly looks back from the sofa. Her emotionlessly guilty eyes were met with the head maid's disappointed ones. "Umm... I can explain..." Mai monotonously said. She wanted to defend herself, even for a little bit.

"Mai, you know the consequences..." Let out the head maid with a serious tone.

"..."
