Chapter 193 Always, Mr. Shepherd

The answer to that appeared quite quickly when the phone on my desk rang and I pressed the button with a frown.

“Yes.”

“Sorry to interrupt, Mr. Shepherd, but the new product’s marketing team is here,

I couldn’t delay them for a long time.”

My secretary spoke apologetically.

“How long?”

“Half an hour mostly.” She provided and I nodded in silent acknowledgement.

“Fine, prepare the conference room, I’ll be there in half an hour.”

My eyes fixed on Amy as I spoke, her face was void of emotions.

“Come with me.” Offering her my hand, I pulled her with me on the sofa.

She sat in my embrace looking mystified.

“Aren’t we doing it?” She finally asked with an innocent look.

“Your presence here is enough for me,” Embracing her tightly in my arms, I spoke the truth.

That weird thumping of my heart returned with the thought of Amy being taken away from me.

Thankfully, she wasn’t.

I was in bliss when Amy finally opened her mouth. “Derek… I met your Grandfather today.”
