Chapter 19 Unexpected News

Holding my breath, I anxiously wait for her to reveal the outcome, mostly the bad news because I know no good can happen to me.

I had already accepted my bad luck when the woman on the other end gave me completely unexpected news.

“Your request for the accommodation has been approved. To take the keys, you need to come over and sign the contract, first.”

WHAT??

I was dumbfounded when the woman called out again.

“Hello?

Are you there?

Miss Hood?”

“Yes, yes, I am here… I will come to the HR department now…” I told her and after bidding her goodbye with utter gratitude and happiness I ended the call.

The application was approved in just a day, it was unexpectedly fast.

I was so happy, I could dance with joy but I was late for the office.

Hence I quickly took a shower and got ready. All the things that happened yesterday flew away from my mind as I focused on today, my present.

I couldn’t believe my good fate until I was handed the key to my own apartment.
