1 Prologue

I was walking down the hallways of my school for the very last time. I was moving away from my birthplace leaving behind my friends, Aiden my BFF who needed me as he had accepted the fact that he was gay a few weeks ago, memories of my dad who died last week and lastly I was leaving behind Leo,the love of my life and the best boyfriend in the world. It was time for me to tell him I was leaving but would come back...one day just for him. I sighed and walked towards my locker along with thousands of students but the sight that greeted me made tears well up in my eyes. I blinked back the tears and walked towards Leo who was kissing Maria the queen slut of our school like there was no tomorrow. I thought that maybe there was a misunderstanding and she was the one who was kissing Leo but in my heart I knew that Leo was the one who made the move but I just couldn't accept the fact so I moved towards them and whispered Leo's name as he broke the kiss to catch his breath. He smirked at me and said " Oh how are you bitch? Could not disturb me and Maria we are sharing a moment here." That's when my heart shattered he had called me a bitch but what had I ever done to him? I sucked in my breath and from the corner of my eye I saw that everyone was still and looking at us but I continued " Leo I ...I thought you loved me" he chuckled....his laugh which was once like ichor to my ears now sounded like poison" Aww poor bitch thought I loved her but sorry I don't love bitches I play with them. You know I prefer girls like Maria not the plain ones like you." I felt numb as the crowd laughed and Leo and Maria smirked. I sucked in a breath but I wasn't going to show him that he had just torn my heart into uncountable pieces so I said in an emotionless voice" Goodbye Leo James"

and turned to walk away. A part of me was now happy that I was leaving as I couldn't face him not until a long time passed away anyway. As I was walking out I heard him say " Runaway bitch that's what you and your family is good at and that is also why your dad killed himself to runaway from you." I stopped but didn't turn around cause if I did he would see the tears that were streaming down my face. Suddenly I heard a sound 'smack' and I heard Aiden's voice " How dare you bastard talk to her like that? " and soon the crowd started cheering "Fight fight" and my encounter with Leo was long forgotten. I turned around and my eyes made contact with Leo's I kept my face blank and saw that his was too. I turned around and walked away...away from California , away from Aiden, away from my dad's memories and away from Leonard.
