The Begining of war

SAMIRA's POV

My head pops out of the water for a second and I hear Blake and Neal howling. Now it's not like I don't know how to swim, but payback's a bitch.

I close my eyes, pray to all the Bollywood legends and begin my oscar worthy show. Have I mentioned I'm internally evil smirking.

I flap my arms vigorously, my head bobbing in and out of the water like I'm gasping for air. I manage to croak out "help" in the most feeble, dying woman kind of way and feel a splash next to me.

"Samira oh my god please no holy shit-" Blake starts, scooping me in his arms.

He stops rambling all of a sudden and I carefully open one of my eyes, curious to find out what made him stop.

I see eyes narrowing at me and before I know it he let's go of me, sending my whole body down again.

"You bitch" I scream as soon as I break through the water.

"The depth here is 4.5 feet, princess." Blake rolls his eyes and chuckles. "I'm not a princess." I retort, huffing in annoyance.

An inhuman sound escapes my throat when I feel something snake around my waist. "Water fight" I hear Neal whisper into my ear, my back against him. I feel his chest vibrate with laughter and once again, I'm pushed into the water.

These boys just started a war with the wrong princess.

"Nina are you done?" I knock the bathroom door, hardly able to control my urge to pee. "One last minute Sam I'm almost done!" She replies.

A little longer, I tell my poor bladder and make awkward movements, making me look like I'm trying to do a tribal dance. Speaking of tribals, I need to think of a way to get back at Neal and Blake.

Both of them will be the death of me. Neal was always very close to me. I remember the time I was still learning to speak non broken English. He was always there by my side. We occasionally pranked each other, but I guess that's what it is like to have an elder brother.

Blake was not rude, he was just closer to the others. We usually never talked as much but these days I feel like we're getting closer. I don't know when or how it happened but it just did.

That doesn't mean I'm leaving both of them off the hook that easily. The thought of the cold pool water sends a shiver down my spine and breaks me from my thoughts.

"Nina I'm going to pee here if you don't come out!" I jump. "We're getting late for sound check!" I knock harder. "I'm out! Jeez woman" she says, unlocking the bathroom door and I dash inside like my life depends on it.

BLAKE's POV

"Neal do you why do you think chick pea was named chick pea?" I ask. He makes his thinking face, "Why?" he asks raising his eyebrows waiting for me to answer.

"I don't know man, that's why I asked." I shrug. He lets out a chortle, "You never fail to amaze me Blake Santos" he shakes his head.

I think back to today afternoon and the image of Neal wrapping his arms around Samira burns in my head. The way she nervously chuckled after he whispered something into her ear did something to me.

I don't know where this is coming from, but I felt a pang in my heart.

I've known Samira for almost a year now but I've never interacted with her as much as I wish I did. I suddenly feel myself pulled towards her and to say I'm confused would be the understatement of the century.

"YOU BOYS HAVE'T STARTED GETTING READY YET!? WE'RE LEAVING! GET YOUR BUTTS TO THE LOBBY IN TEN MINUTES" Yonta bursts in and yells at us.

Neal and I jump on our feet, scurrying to get dressed as soon as possible.

After a tiring sound check and rehearsal, we finally reach the restaurant we're having dinner at. We make our way to the huge table at the end of the room, big enough to accommodate our family of fourteen plus Yonta.

I sit between Kristina and Kevin, two of my best friends from the team. Kevin represents China in the group.

Samira sits right across me, between Neal and Raissa. We order our food and listen to Nina talk animatedly talk about Stranger things, her new obsession.

I look at San and see her smile at me. I wish it was the sweet smile she gave to even strangers but this one, was scary enough to make me ALMOST pee myself.

"Neal, Blake-" she starts and I look at Neal, both of us mirroring our terrified expressions.
