13 Not just another normal family

The day was coming to an end and some people were returning from their different place of work.

This also include Lin Fang's father and step brother

As usual, they returned home just as dinner was almost ready.

Lin Fang didn't bother going downstairs to greet his father and he definitely didn't care that his step brother finally returned home from wherever he had gone.

He didn't have a very good relationship with either of them and when they were around, he usually locked himself up in his room.

A few minutes later, Lin Fang heard his step mom call everyone down for dinner.

With a groan, Lin Fang pulled himself put of bed and trudged out of the room.

As he got to the foot of the stairs, he suddenly tripped on something and fell.

Lin Fang hissed in pain and looked back at what he had tripped on. A leg and the owner of that leg was ..

"of course it's you" Lin Fang said getting up. His elbow hurt but thankfully there was no scratch "Who else is jobless enough to go about the house tripping others"

Lin Yuan smirk quickly turned into a glared and with a step, he closed the gab between himself and Lin Fang. Before Lin Fang could react, his shirt was grabbed making it almost impossible to breath

"Better watch what you say to me idiot or you'll get kicked out sooner than you should" Lin Yuan threatened

Lin Fang's expression matched his step brother's

"Oh what? You're going to get me kicked out?" he asked, his voice mocking

"You..."

"Cut it out you two, now" a voice said.

Both boys turned their eyes to the top of the stairs.

There, a muscular man stood, He looked to be in his late thirties or early fourties and had a strain expression on his face.

Lin Yuan glared at Lin Fang for a moment longer than roughly pushed him away and stormed off to the living room.

Lin Fang huffed and unwrinkled his shirt. He walked away, not sparing another glance at the man who stood at the top of the stairs and had the same blue eyes as his.

Taking in the small confrontation between the two step siblings, it was anyone's guess how dinner turned out.

Lin Fang ended up taking his food to his room, despite his step mom's 'lovingly' asking what was wrong amd Lin Yuan left soon after making sure to smash his plate on the ground as if to make a point.

The rest of the evening went on uneventfully.

In his room, Lin Fang dropped the tray of food on the reading desk and went into the bathroom to cool his temper with some cold water.

After a few minutes, Lin Fang returned from the bathroom, finally ate his meal and lay on the bed to begin browsing through internet on his phone.

It was already Saturday meaning he had only one more day of holiday before school resumed on Monday.

Lin Fang downloaded his new schedule and scheme of work for the new term.

Lin Fang nodded in approval. With his schedule, he won't have school life intervene with his game life. At least to some extent. Infact on second thought, Lin Fang realized he won't be having a lot of free time during school hours because of his status in the school.

Most of his days had free periods for two hour or three but he'd probably be using them making sure others actually go to class.

However, the fact he had so much free periods was not normal

This was thanks to his computer like brain. Since childhood, Lin Fang had always been a smart one. One he learned something, he never forget it.

It was easy for him to learn new things except he just wasn't interested in it.

In truth, Lin Fang had enough grades to graduate high school a years ago but didn't.

One of the reasons being that he was only thirteen at that time. He wanted to be at least sixteen before he applied for a university and this was his last year in high school.

Lin Fang decided to read through the information of the game and gather as much information as he could before logging in again.
