Vann walked through the hall with a fast pace, leaving that class like a storm was coming. Rubbing his arm, he still cannot recover from that chilling sensation.

He looked at his guide, the small him, who covered his face with a red ears. "Just why do you like that kid?" He asked with a frown.

His guide shook his head fast and then hides his face again. Guess that really makes him creeped out too. "Fine then, I think we need to leave this academy."

Nodding his head, his guide peeked from his fingers and looked at the frowning Vann. He followed him as Vann went to the teacher office, meeting with his mentor to discuss about something.

In order for him to be able to take a leave from this academy, Vann had to come to this office in a daily basis, trying to convince his mentor, and all because he actually does shows some talents as a knight, with his skill nearly reach an advance skill due to him be able to spar with Leon most of the time, the academy was rather reluctant in letting him go.

Vann applied to go gain some experience in the barracks on the north side, where it's currently full of snow. He requested for this position as a knight trainee since he knew during this time, the enemy were also not having enough time to attack as they need to hold on until the winter pass by.

So during the meantime, if Vann goes there, he will be joining the group of soldiers that will be bringing supplies to their army, and he would also be able to get used to the harshness in the wilderness until winter ends.

And he would be able to choose for how long he wanted to stay. The longer he stays, with his small skill, he should be able to help around more and gain merit faster than just staying in the academy, despite him only being on the second year. But staying there for a whole years would allow him to just catch up on this third year lesson after he returned from this.

And in this way, he would not need to meet his classmates or anyone he knew during their forth year, as supposedly they all will go to the barracks when they were in the last year.

He thought it is passable, and with his family name if he decided to use it, he should be able to get what he want even if it is rather forceful.

Vann himself were confident that it will be approved as from what he can recall, most of the teachers here did not actually like him because of him being refered by his father in order to enter this academy, so they all labeled him as a useless third generation who only depended on his family status.

His guide shrink on his shoulder as Vann thought about this, strongly Vann can feel that he was upset of this label, and that is probably his main reason on wanting to become an official knight just like how his family had been.

"It's fine. Don't be sad." Vann tapped in his guide small head and smiled a bit.

Submitted the application, Vann choose not to attend the rest of the class for the whole week as he went out to town to prepare himself for the journey with the soldier as soon as the application was approved.

With his allowance from his father, that he had never actually used much during the time he was here, he bought thick coat, small useful items like weapon for hunting, and also foods that were able to last long. Though he honestly did not actually knew what else he should prepare as he had never went to such place.

Thus he only bought whatever that comes on his mind, and packed them into a big backpack. It was not much but he thought that it should be enough as he would try to learn how to survive afterward with the help of the surrounding soldier.

The whole week, Vann did not go find Ginny or come to classes, so it was as if he quitted the academy.

Ginny become more and more gloomy as the days pass by, he did not even greet the others as cheerfully as he usually did, and that makes everyone who had associated with him before notice that Ginny seemed to only act like soft persimmon during Vann presence.

Everyday Ginny would went around the academy to the places that Vann used to go to, as if he were hunting for Vann, but too bad for Ginny since Vann stayed in the town during this time as he waited for the result.

It seemed that all is going well, and within that week, he finally received the notification from his mentor that it was approved successfully and that he was required to come to the gate of the town tomorrow to gather with the soldier.

They will be moving out the soonest that they could, and since the day he received that notice, it was already past lunch time so they will be moving out tomorrow.

Clicking in the confirm symbol, Vann heaved a relieved sigh as he make a double check for his items. He added some extra stuffs, and he even purchase a small space stone to store his items instead when he looked that he seemed to bought a bit too much of everything.

And that costed almost all his balance in his bank account, thought he did not regret it as he thought this is something that will be needed for that journey to the north.

Using this halfday, he went to the market in the town to again see if he needed more stuffs and ends up again buying more, which resulted in an extra of everything.

At night, he took a proper sleep, skipping his training for tonight as he gingerly awaits for tomorrow.
